Introduction:

The current partially corrupted Bible has been blasphemous not only towards God by preaching the pagan belief of God incarnation, but also the Bible portrays the Prophets of Allah as drunken, adulterers who committed polytheism, by associating partners with Allah and committed incest and endless of religious and moral crimes.

On the contrary:

Islam and the Glorious Quran honors all the Prophets as the perfect human role models for humanity sent by Allah Exalted, He to guide humanity and teach the very same message of pure monotheism and oneness of Allah and teach all good morals.

Islam preaches the infallibility of the Prophets and messengers of Allah as roles models to their respective communities or to Mankind in the case of our beloved Prophet Muhammed peace be upon all of them.

The infallibility of the Prophets and messengers of Allah, simply mean that Allah has protected them from making any errors in delivering his message and it means also that Allah protected them from committing any form of polytheism or committing any major sins. (See below difference between sin and mistake)

Atheism:

Is no better as it has no moral code, whosoever, that is why we have been hearing regularly about moral disasters from some of the notorious staunch atheists, promoting not only LGBTQI (homosexuality), but also incest (illicit sexual relationships between first degree relatives).

Moreover, those notorious staunch atheists have no problems with people committing bestiality (sexual relationships with animals) or even necrophilia (sexual relationship with dead corpses).

Even lots of Christians are following those atheistic satanic trends to the point where we are seeing many major Christian institutions and churches are approving of the LGBTQI (Homosexuality).  In fact, they have been promoting all those above-mentioned illicit forbidden moral crimes.

For topics related to exposing the blasphemous Biblical narrative about Prophets of Allah, infallibility of Prophets of Allah between Islam and Christianity, atrocities committed by some atheists over the course of history, and many other relevant topics to this article (See link about that end of this article).

The main question of this article remains:

Did Prophet Muhammad commit sin according to Quran (40:55), Quran (47:19), Quran (48:2)?

Obviously, the answer is emphatically no, never commit a sin, on the opposite Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him is the best man walked the Earth, the seal of all the prophets and messenger of Allah and best of all Prophets and messengers and we are going to detail that with Evidence both from The Glorious Quran and the remaining truth in the partially corrupted Bible.

First, we need to understand some terminology such as the difference between sin and mistake.

Definitions of Sin, its Types and Mistake and the difference:

What is the Concept of sins in Islam?

A sin is defined as an act of disobedience in which a person leaves Allahโ€™s command.  A sinner contradicts Shariah by opposing a command of Allah given in the Quran or Sunnah.  Scholars describe a sin with the image of โ€œstepping outโ€ of divine obedience by doing what is forbidden or leaving what is required.

Islam teaches that man is not born in sin, rather he becomes sinful when he commits a sin.  No inheritance of an original sin in Islam. If we to locate the first sinner, Satan would be the first sinner according to Islam. For more details about sin check the link about that topic at the end.

Definition of mistake:

An act or a statement goes against the teachings of Islam, that was made or said under the impression that it is correct. This definition excludes anything that must be known to each Muslim as a matter of necessity to be a Muslim, e.g., every Muslim must know that Alcohol, sex out of marriage are haram and so on.

Generally, a mistake would be doing a permissible thing under the impression it is correct, but later discover it to be wrong, in other words, there is lack of deliberate intention to commit a sin.

For instance, if someone is thirsty on a hot day and he sees a glass usually used for water, and the glass was full and no one around to ask, after he drank it, someone told him it has some alcohol in it, the person who made that mistake, originally was acting within the boundaries of halal by intending to drink water, to discover later that he made the wrong judgement.

We Muslims are fully aware of the centuries long malicious anti- Islam campaigns that not only fabricate lies about Islam and build on them more lies as part of that centuries long black Islamophobic propaganda campaigns.

But also, those enemies of Islam and Hippocrates who pretended to be Muslims, existed during the time of Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him and tried their best to destroy Islam from within, without forgetting to mention that they attempted to assassinate the Prophet several times, but they failed miserably, simply because Allah protected him.

Demonising Islam and Prophet Muhammed peace be upon is not new, in fact it has been a dirty business going on for centuries, and we are going to go quickly through some of those common misconceptions that enemies of Islam have been repeating to falsely acuse the Prophet of being a sinner. Following a quick refutations to some of those misconceptions.

Readers who are interested in reading detailed responses to the following common misconceptions can find relevant links at the end of this article.

Some examples of Common Misconceptions:

Did Prophet Muhammed marry a prepubescent child against her will?

Christians, Jews, and atheists during the time Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him used to marry young women as soon as they reached puberty, even before reaching puberty. Prophet Muhammed was never ever criticised by anyone during his time for marrying Lady Aisha may Alla be pleased with her.

The Prophet waited until she reached puberty, was suitable for marriage. Enemies of Islam like to raise this topic forgetting that they themselves and all of humanity are the fruits of young marriages till almost hundred years ago.

Christians like to imagine that they waited for girls to get their driving licences and reach the age of 18 years of age, such a hypocritical stance

Even Mary (Maryam may Allah be pleased with her) mother of Prophet Jesus that Christians think he is a God- Mary carried him while she was around 10-12 years of age (Evidence Here).

Christians Before accusing Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him with any lies. You MUST know that Prophet Jesus peace be upon him that some of you consider to be son of God and others consider to be God, while others believe he is Both God and son of God, that decided to be carried by his mum, virgin Mary while her age ranged from 10-12 years old and all as per biblical and historical facts.

Being, lying hypocrites with multiple standards should not be a trait for someone claims to believe in God.

Moreover, Millions and Millions of people married at a young age over centuries, in fact all of us are fruits of young marriages regardless of culture, religion, geographical location or ethnicity. Europe is no exemption.

Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him married AFTER lady Aisha reached puberty upon an order from Almighty Allah, she was mentally mature and physically tall. Consummation of a marriage is separate from the ceremony of marriage.

Prophet Muhammed peace be upon NEVER married any woman before reaching puberty and NEVER violated any of the laws or community standards of the time.

That is exactly what kept happening for CENTURIES AFTER Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him by People from ALL cultures, religions, ethnicities etc. and Europe was NOT an exemption from that.

Did Prophet Muhammed and Muslims rob Caravans and cut the Roads?

This is one of the common lies, Muslim assets (e.g., homes, animals etc.) were not only confiscated by the Arab Pagan tribe of Quraish in Mecca, but also there were very concerted, organised, and systematic campaigns to persecute, prosecute, eradicate, and eventually kill Muslims.

That is why Muslims had to fight back to try to restore some of their assets as the Arab Pagan tribe of Quraish declared war on all levels against Islam and Muslims.

Did Prophet Muhammed and Muslims kill innocent people of Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza?

When Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him decide to move to Madina along with Muslims, it was not merely because Aws and Khazraj were two Arab tribes of Medina (Previously known by Yathrib) during the time of the Prophet Muhammad invited him which that are believed to have migrated to Medina from Yemen. But Prophet Muhammed was not alien to Medina as his maternal cousins were there too.

When Prophet Muhammed and Muslims start to live in Medina, Jewish Tribe of Banu Qurayza and some other few Jewish tribes wrongfully start as if Muslims going to dominate the medina, takeover and threaten their political and economic interests.

For these reasons Prophet Muhammed peace, be upon him and Muslims decide to sign a defense pact, treaty and military alliance agreeing to live in harmonious way, which they agreed and promised to support each other militarily and to defend each other against any enemies.

The Problem was that the Jewish Tribe of Banu Qurayza started to conspire against Islam and Muslims by violating this defense pact and secretly collaborate with the Arab Pagans of Quraish (the arch enemies of Islam and Muslims) and the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza not only conspired but also took practical betrayal steps by facilitating the invasion of medina by The Arab Pagans of Quraish.

And provide all the logistic, intelligence and military support to invade Medina and kill Muslims and the Prophet. Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him was not aware of all that until Allah Exalted sent angel Jibril instructing the Prophet to take instant preemptive military action and thwart their betrayals while they were red-handed.

The Prophet and Muslims at that situations were fighting traitors who broke the defense pact with Muslims and aided their enemies to kill and eradicate Islam and Muslims. Any sane person knows what the punishment for traitors is for those who plotted and conspired with our enemies to kill Muslims.

Did Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him marry lady Safiyyah against Her will?

The answer is no, in fact she overheard her father who was a prominent Jewish Rabbi in medina having a conversation with her brother, where both acknowledged that Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him is the last and final Prophet and messenger of our creator, that conversation occurred after they both visited the Prophet and had conversation with him and verified the authenticity of his Prophethood as mentioned in their Torah.

But they decide to never be Muslims and fight him until the die as they hated that the last and final Prophet and messenger of our creator is not from the Jews and jews will lose all political, economic interests as well as the privilege and honour. Lady Safiyyah was beaten up by her father and brother when she confronted and objected to their malicious plans.

That is why she wanted to leave them to join the Muslims, but she was unable to. Until the Muslims had to defend themselves against the ongoing betrayal of her father, brother and the rest of his Jewish tribe who supported their conspiracies and traitorous acts against Islam and Muslims.

Despite her father, brother, and rest of her tribe hostility, when Lady Safiyyah fell into captivity in the hands of Muslims, Prophet Muhammed knew about her and that she is daughter of one of the Prominent Jews.

The Prophet decided to free her as an honorable act to do to an honorable lady and daughter of one of the prominent Jews. Such honorable act (as all his acts are honorable pace be upon him) from our beloved Prophet was a way also to let the rest of the Jews understand that Islam is not about eradicating them but only defending Muslims and defeating the traitors who violated all defense pacts with Muslims and wished Muslims harm.

We will often find Christians taking a lot of pain to prove that Prophet Muhammad was not sinless and Prophet Jesus was so. Indeed all the Prophets including, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them both, were sinless and at times some mistakes made by them were not sins as such. In the following lines we do explain the whole thing and expose another Christian lie.

Some Quranic Verses and Their Actual Meaning:

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:

โ€œThat Allah may forgive thee (li-yaghfira laka) thy faults (zanbika) of the past and those to follow; fulfill His favour to thee; and guide thee on the Straight Way;โ€ (Quran 48: 2)

A Token of Humanity and Modesty:

One of the morals taught to man by Islam is also this: however hard and sincerely may man be trying to serve and worship his Lord and fighting and struggling in the cause of His Religion, he should never be involved in the misunderstanding that he has done and accomplished whatever he was required to do.

Rather, on the contrary, he should have the feeling that he has not been able to do full justice to what was expected of him by his Lord and Master.

Therefore, he should confess his errors constantly and pray to Allah saying ‘Lord, forgive me for whatever fault and error I may have committed in Your service.” , this is indeed the essence of Allah’s Command: ‘O Prophet. ask forgiveness for your fault ..”

And in Hadith we find Holy Prophet (PBUH) praying exactly on the same lines, e.g.

โ€œO Allah! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public.โ€ (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5919)

This does not mean that the Holy Prophet had actually committed an error willfully, but its correct meaning is that it did not even behoove the servant who was the greatest worshiper of his Lord that he should harbor even a tinge of the pride of accomplishment in his heart.

But his true position also was that in spite of all his great and glorious services he should continue confessing his shortcomings before his Lord. It was under this state of the mind that the Holy Prophet often implored his Lord for forgiveness.

One also needs to understand that for a person with more responsibility and greater honor, the standards are also different. Holy Prophet (PBUH) received direct revelations from the Almighty so he was supposed to be the best and at times when he had actually done no wrong as we can see, he was still admonished because of the higher levels set for him.

Further, there is a Hadith that gives the answer of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as to why did he pray to Allah so much and seek His Mercy:

Narrated Al-Mughira (RA): The Prophet used to offer night prayers till his feet became swollen. Somebody said, to him,” “Allah has forgiven you, your faults of the past and those to follow.” On that, he said, “Shouldn’t I be a thankful slave of Allah)?” (Bukhari, Hadith 4459)

A Teacher for The Followers:

Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to ask Allah for forgiveness as a token of his modesty and also to teach his companions and followers to do the same.

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Messenger saying.” By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5832)

Another narration makes it absolutely clear that he prayed to Allah this way as a token of modesty and more importantly to teach his followers:

Ibn Umar narrated: I heard Allah’s Messenger saying, “O people ask Allah for forgiveness verily I ask Him for forgiveness hundred times a day.” (Musnad Ahmad Hadith 17173)

The very words of the Hadith above prove that he did and said this to inspire his followers to repent to Allah often.

Another interesting point we need to consider here is that Quran 48:2 quoted above which says all the past and future sins of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) are forgiven was revelaed in 6th year after Hijrah while Abu Huraira, who is the narrator of the hadith saying that Holy Prophet (pbuh) repented 70 times a day, accepted Islam and came to the Holy Prophet in the 7th year after Hijrah.

This proves Holy Prophet (pbuh) prayed even after Allah that verse was revealed. This is enough to prove that it was only out of modesty and to teach the followers.

Etymology Of The Arabic Words Used:

According to Mufarridat fi Gharaib al-Quran, a book on the etymology of the Quranic words, by Isfahani, the word โ€˜Ghafarโ€™ means โ€˜to cover with something that protects from dirtโ€™ (vol.1 p.362). Keeping this in mind the verses can mean that Holy Prophet (PBUH) is asked to pray to be saved from the sins.

And as to the word โ€˜zanbโ€™ which generally means โ€˜sinโ€™ Isfahani in his above mentioned books says; โ€˜it is used for every deed whose outcome is not good.โ€™ (vol.1 p.181)

This makes it evident that the word can be used for everything whose outcome is not good or as expected. The following supports our contention on these lines.

An Example Of A “Sin” When it Comes to The Prophet Peace be upon him:

Holy Prophet (PBUH) was once even admonished by the Almighty and that one event clearly shows what the matter was. It is stated in Qur’an 80:1.

“He frowned and turned away his face because there came up to him the blind man. And what would make you know that he might reform, or heed the admonition, and admonishing might profit him? As for him who is indifferent, to him you attend, though you would not be responsible if he did not reform. And the one ‘who comes to you running, of his own will, and fears, from him you turn away.”(Qur’an 80:1-10)

It so happened that Holy Prophet (PBUH) was talking to some leaders of Makkah who had not embraced Islam and right them one of his companions Ibn Umm Maktum came in and Holy Prophet (PBUH) disliked his entry at that time.

In fact Holy Prophet (PBUH) thought that even if a single man from among the people whom he was trying to bring to the right path, listened to him and was rightly guided, be could become a powerful means of strengthening Islam. Therefore, none of his companions should interrupt at that time; whatever he wanted to ask or learn, he could ask or learn at some later time.

By this style the Holy Prophet (PBUH), by a subtle method, has been made to realize that it was an act unseemly for him. Had somebody familiar with his high morals witnessed it, he would have thought that it was not he but some other person who had behaved in that manner.

So, this was a deed which the Holy Prophet (PBUH) did, and was disliked by the Almighty Allah. We can see Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) intention was not to commit sin and hurt anyone but Allah who knew that those to the Prophet was talking were not sincere but the blind man who came was sincere. And so he was admonished.

This is a clear manifestation that for Holy Prophet (PBUH) the standards were much higher. And so whatโ€™s called a ‘sin’ is only this much when it comes to The Most Perfect of All Humans.

It is from obligatory Islamic belief that the Prophets were trustworthy and preserved from sin.

The classical definition of amana (trustworthiness), which relates to `isma (being preserved from sin) is:

โ€œAllah Most High preserving the Prophets from falling into that which has been prohibited,โ€ as explained by the commentators of the Jawhara. [Tattan/Kaylani, `Awn al-Murid `ala Jawharat al-Tawhid, 2.727; also: Bajuri, Tuhfat al-Murid]

Another definition of trustworthiness was given by the great 20th Century Hanafi scholar from Hama (Syria), Shaykh Muhammad al-Hamid in his work Rudud `ala Abatil [297, as quoted in the above text],

โ€œIt is a trait that Allah creates in His servant through which they are disposed to doing the good and that prevents them from the bad.โ€

The Proof for the Sinlessness of Prophets

Allah Most High has commanded us in the Qurโ€™an to follow the Prophets in numerous verses that are decisive (qat`i) in their indicationโ€“such as, โ€œThese are the ones whom Allah has guided, so follow their guidance.โ€ [Qurโ€™an, Surat al-An`am: 90]

And Allah Most High has informed us that He only commands the good, and made it clear that He does not command the wrong or sinful.

Thus, it would be absurd for Allah to command us to unconditionally follow the Prophets and to take them as absolute exemplars if they were given to sinโ€“for this would entail us fulfilling command of Allah through something that entails committing sin.

Qurโ€™anic Correction of Prophets

When Allah corrects the Prophets in the Qurโ€™an, this correcting is because they exercised their judgment, but their judgmentโ€“though good, sound, and not an act of โ€˜disobeyingโ€™ the Divine Commandโ€“was not ultimately the optimal course of action that Allah wished from them.

Thus, Adam (peace be upon him) ate from the tree not out of โ€˜disobedienceโ€™ of the Divine Command but because either he didnโ€™t think that this fell under the prohibition; or out of unawareness; or because he believed the words of the Devil, for Adam didnโ€™t conceive of anyone in Paradise lying. Allah corrected him immediately; and made him leave Paradise to manifest the honor of moral responsibility that He had in fact created Adam and his offspring for in the first place.

Thus, the โ€˜descentโ€™ of Adam and Eve (Allah bless them and give them peace) from Paradise was in fact a โ€˜raisingโ€™ in rank and an ultimate honor. They sought Allahโ€™s forgiveness because of their awe of the Divine, and because of the inherent sense of shortcoming and humility that the best of creation have when they consider what is due to Allah Most Highโ€“absolutely everything.

Similarly, in every instance in which Allah Most High corrects the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Qurโ€™an, our Beloved Messenger had acted in a sound and noble mannerโ€“it is simply a case that Allah Most High wished another yet higher course of action. This manifests Allahโ€™s divine concern (`inaya) for His Beloved (Allah bless him and give him peace), and is a lesson for all humanity to be humble before the Divine.

Now Let us Turn The Tables:

Having explained the Quranic verses that Christians misinterpret, now we come to the Bible and what it tells us about Jesus Christ (PBUH) whom Christians take not a holy man or perfect human but God Incarnate.

According to the Gospel of Matthew:

Jesus (PBUH) prayed to the Father in the Heaven; โ€œAnd forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.โ€ (Matthew 6:12)

The Greek word translated as โ€˜debtsโ€™ is opheilฤ“ma (of-i’-lay-mah), which according to Strongโ€™s Bible Dictionary (Entry G3783) means โ€˜something owed, that is, (figuratively) a due.; morally a fault: – debt.โ€™ In Thayerโ€™s lexicon the words โ€˜offenseโ€™ and โ€˜sinโ€™ are clearly used.

Infact according to Smith and Van Dyke Arabic Bible, the word used to denote the actual Greek word is โ€˜zunubanaโ€™ (i.e. our sins):

(ูˆูŽุงุบู’ููุฑู’ ู„ูŽู†ูŽุง ุฐูู†ููˆุจูŽู†ูŽุง ูƒูŽู…ูŽุง ู†ูŽุบู’ููุฑู ู†ูŽุญู’ู†ู ุฃูŽูŠู’ุถุงู‹ ู„ูู„ู’ู…ูุฐู’ู†ูุจููŠู†ูŽ ุฅูู„ูŽูŠู’ู†ูŽุง) transliterated as โ€˜waghfirlana zunubanaโ€™ i.e. forgive us our sins. Infact same words are used in Quran and Hadith where there is a mention of sin concerning Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Agreed that the context of the verse says he asked his disciples to pray this way but Bible proves he himself often prayed to God and it no where says he prayed differently.

Further Jesus (pbuh) was Baptized by John the Baptist and we know about John the Basptist; “And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.” (Luke 3:3)

Now Christians can take only two courses; either they can argue that this is only in fugitive sense or a lesson for the disciples and later followers. We, the Muslims, have no problem with either of these explanations but this only exposes the double standards of the Christians.

If Jesus Christ, the โ€˜God Incarnateโ€™ and a โ€˜Godโ€™ himself can pray for the forgiveness of his sins and take the Bapstism of repentance then there is no problem in Prophet Muhammad who was human only, indeed the best and perfect of them but a human still, doing the same. A human, however great needs to show his modesty but not so a divine person as Christians think of Jesus.

And also the fact that it makes more sense of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who came with a doctrine of salvation based on good deeds and repentance, asking the Almighty God for forgiveness teaching his followers the same then Jesus (PBUH) who as per Christian belief brought the gift of salvation merely through his own vicarious sacrifice.

These double standards of the Christians remind one of Jesus (PBUH) who said:

“First cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:5)

And also: “You blind guides, you strain out a gnat, and swallow the camel.” (Mathew 23:24)

Note:

Jesus (pbuh) did not speak against polygamy, we Muslims believe that all Prophets were sinless and I never said Jesus (pbuh) did sin. I only prove to you, your double standards.

The whole episode in John 10:33 onwards only proves that both Christians and Jews misunderstood Jesus (pbuh).

When it comes to Jesus Christians say he is sinless though he was also baptized as well as prayed but for Mohammed of course story is exactly opposite, as Christians falsely claim

Either both were teaching their disciples how to pray, or both were sinful. If they were both sinful. The Christian theory of salvation will end up in the garbage bin and for first option the false claim of Prophet Mohammed being sinful will be denied.

What all Christians stressed all over was being polygamous is the proof of sin and no other point have mentioned but polygamy. And the Christian reasoning for polygamy being sin is that Jesus said something against divorce and remarry.

We want to like to know whether Christians know any difference between ‘divorce and remarrying’ and polygamy. Otherwise, Christians need to clarify their understanding of those definitions first rather than Tambling between two things.

Easiest way to understand polygamy and its permissibility:

Is that to ask whether it was forbidden in Mosaic Law and the answer is No. Neither Torah, or Psalms or any other book of OT says so.

If the prophets said so but practiced so. And refer what Your “God” said in Matthew 5:17:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 5:18: For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 5:19: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

So now if Jesus did not come to change the Law why did he forbid something which was permissible. Secondly If you say that though he said he is not come for change but changed the Law then you are telling me that he said something and did opposite i.e. He lied (Telling a Lie is sin by the way).

Moreso, If One prophet can change and forbid polygamy which was permissible earlier why can’t another Prophet permit it again.

And at the end, answer this: Since Christians are using some sort of logic trying to show demerits of polygamy. Please provide for the solutions for lacs of surplus women in world other than polygamy because your Christian nations have legalised prostitution rather than allowing polygamy

Indeed Allah knows The Best.
