Introduction about John the Baptist:

First, there is ZERO Biblical and Historical Evidence to support that John the Baptist or even his Father Zacharias thought or believed that Prophet Jesus is God or Son of God – John the Baptist and Zacharias NEVER EVER believed in Trinity or worshipped Prophet Jesus as a God or even thought of him as a Son of God.

John did not even know that Jesus was the promised Messiah according to current Bible=IF John the Baptist did NOT know that Prophet Jesus is the upcoming Messiah-

Anyone with basic common and sound sense would NEVER EVER say that John the Baptist worshipped Jesus as a God or knew he is a son of God- Simply because Jesus is NOT God or a son of God:

Evidence: John 1:32-34

John Testifies About Jesus

32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”[a]

John The Baptist had unclear vision blurring of the first and second comings of Jesus Christ= He did not worship Jesus Christ or think of his as son of God. Evidence: Matthew 11

Even Jerusalem seemed oblivious to the birth of Messiah in BethlehemEvidence Matthew 2:1-6

John the Baptist, like most of the prophets, did not clearly distinguish between the first and second coming of the Messiah. He did not seem to grasp the fact that the Messiah would come twice, the first time to die as a perfect sacrifice for sinners, and the second time to defeat His enemies and establish His kingdom. Indeed, John’s message would appear to focus more on our Lord’s second coming than on his first. This should come as no surprise to us, for such was the dilemma of all the Old Testament prophets:

Evidence: 1 Peter 1:10-12

Now as the abov out of the way we can go ahead and start our article titled:

Why Jesus did not save John the Baptist who baptised him and made him God or son of God from horrible death by beheading and why did not he bring him back to life?

We Muslims need to keep asking this repeatedly, If Jesus was God or even a son of God, why Jesus did not rescue John the Baptist from being beheaded despite baptizing Jesus and making him God or son of God, both are the same according to Christian doctrine.

Not only Jesus did not save John the Baptist from being killed a horrible death by beheading at the hands of Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee- But also Jesus did NOTHING such as bringing John the Baptist back to life after death and Once Jesus heard of the horrible death of John the Baptist by beheading Jesus left in a boat to a remote area to be alone.

Matthew 14:13

13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone

The Death of John the Baptist

14 When Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee,[a] heard about Jesus, he said to his advisers, “This must be John the Baptist raised from the dead! That is why he can do such miracles.”

For Herod had arrested and imprisoned John as a favor to his wife Herodias (the former wife of Herod’s brother Philip). John had been telling Herod, “It is against God’s law for you to marry her.” Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of a riot, because all the people believed John was a prophet.

But at a birthday party for Herod, Herodias’s daughter performed a dance that greatly pleased him, so he promised with a vow to give her anything she wanted. At her mother’s urging, the girl said, “I want the head of John the Baptist on a tray!” Then the king regretted what he had said; but because of the vow he had made in front of his guests, he issued the necessary orders. 10 So John was beheaded in the prison, 11 and his head was brought on a tray and given to the girl, who took it to her mother. 12 Later, John’s disciples came for his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus what had happened.

Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns. 14 Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

15 That evening the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”

16 But Jesus said, “That isn’t necessary—you feed them.”

17 “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!” they answered.

18 “Bring them here,” he said. 19 Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. 20 They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. 21 About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!

Jesus Walks on Water

22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. 23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.

24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. 25 About three o’clock in the morning[b] Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”

27 But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here![c]

28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”

29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said.

So, Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the strong[d] wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.

31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”

32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed.

34 After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret. 35 When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed. 36 They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

It is a fascinating issue to ponder with John the Baptist and with others. Why does Jesus raise some from the dead like Lazarus or the relatively unknown son of the Widow of Nain, but allow John the Baptist to die and

Matthew 14:13

13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone

You can go further into Acts and ask why does an angel get Peter out of prison, but James is also beheaded?

The ultimate answer is Christians do not know for certain. Christians are looking at the circumstances and offer theories, but ultimately Christians think it is their time to go home to the Lord who is Jesus according to Christians-

In other words, If Jesus as a God or son of God allowed John the Baptist to be headed without making any effort to save him. So, John the Baptist can die and go to Jesus.

The question remains, If Jesus was a God or son of God why he allowed for John the Baptist to be headed without making any effort to save him.

What a miserable failure not to save John the Baptist from being beheaded or bring him back to life after Death.

So again, according to Christians Jesus is God or son of God with powers to create, resurrect and bringing the dead back to life and he has been brining many dead back to life. But when it comes to the man who baptised him and declared him God or son of God as per Christians.

It was not important at all for Jesus to save John the Baptist from a horrible death through beheading, but also Jesus failed to bring John the Baptist back to life after death.

Christians would say that they tend to look at the death of John, James, and people in general as bad things. Yet, Christians would say, death is just the beginning of the good stuff. Eternal joy, peace, and celebration with no pain and sorrow sounds pretty good.

Oh, what does that mean? Are Christians happy that Herod beheaded John the Baptist?

Are Christians being also happy with the Roman soldiers that purportedly killed their God Or son of God to their Salvation to occur. Just wondering why Christians did not pay respect and admiration to those Roma soldiers who helped in killing their God by crucifixion as well?

If John the Baptist was not saved by Jesus from a horrible death by beheading nor was brought back to life by Jesus, so what Jesus was really doing or is he really God or son of God?

Jesus Sin of dishonoring John the Baptist who baptised Jesus and made him God or son of God as per Christians:

What sort of God or Son of God who would dumb John the Baptist as soon as he knew he was killed a horrible death by beheading at the hands of Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee?

Islamic View about Jesus Christ

From Islamic perspective, Jesus is just a one hundred human Prophet that was born from a miraculous virgin birth, he was one of the mightiest prophets in Islam and yes indeed he brought the dead back to life with the permission of Allah Exalted He.

In Qur’an chapter Al-Ma’idah 5:110

“(Remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection). “O Jesus son of Mary! Remember My Favor to you and to your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit (Jibril=Gabriel) so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you writing, the wisdom (the power of understanding), the Torah and the Injil (Gospel),

and when you made out of the clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My Permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) since you came unto them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.”

Challenging Question to Christians!

It questions the entire Christian doctrine! And would be countered by why Jesus did not raise other deeds?

At least his mother’s ancestry of fine line of prophets, including the most recently killed prophets Zachariah and his son John, or all the dead, the dead of the world!

But then wouldn’t they live and eventually they are all again destined for death! The answer is that Jesus did not do what he did out of his own power and will. It was by the will of His and our Lord and Creator, the Almighty one and only God, Allah.

The unusual events “miracles” that Jesus Christ carried out, by the will of the Lord, were physical proof and evidence for his truthfulness, prophecy, and message.

In Qur’an chapter Al-Ma’idah 5:110

  • “(Remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection). “O Jesus son of Mary! Remember My Favor to you and to your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit (Jibrael, Gabriel) so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you writing, the wisdom (the power of understanding), the Torah and the Injeel (Gospel).

And when you made out of the clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My Permission,

Summary:

  1. If Jesus was God or son of God, would not be a very honorable thing to save John the Baptist from a horrible death by beheading at the hands of Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, or at least bring John the Baptist back to life to show unforgettable miracle and to honor him who baptised him as Christens claim?
  • The whole story proves beyond reasonable doubts that Jesus is not a God or a son of God and the matters of bringing back the dead back to life were up to the discretion of Allah Exalted he who sent Prophet Jesus to perform miracles as evidence of his Prophethood.
  • As per this Biblical story not only Jesus did not save John the Baptist or bring him back to life but also, he dumped him and

Matthew 14:13

13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone.

That is a very dishonorable action and not only a sin but also not standing beside the victim who had supported Jesus all the way?

The Glorious Holy Quran view about the whole story of Christianity:

Islamic view about this whole Christian corrupted doctrine as per the Glorious Holy Quran description:

“Those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. The Messiah ˹himself˺ said, “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah—my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever associates others with Allah ˹in worship˺ will surely be forbidden Paradise by Allah. Their home will be the Fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers. Those who say, “Allah is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief.

There is only One God. If they do not stop saying this, those who disbelieve among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment. Will they not turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him.

His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food.1 See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded ˹from the truthز Say, ˹O Prophet, ˺ “How can you worship besides Allah those who can neither harm nor benefit you? And Allah ˹alone˺ is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Say, “O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes in your faith beyond the truth, nor follow the vein desires of those who went astray before ˹you˺. They misled many and strayed from the Right Way.”
