Praise is to Almighty Allah and Peace and Blessings of Almighty Allah be upon all His Messengers.When Muslims say Jesus is a PROPHET, The Christians say “NO! he is God”.

In return if you ask them whom is that PROPHET like Moses in Deuteronomy 18:18?

They That PROPHET IS JESUS. Can it get confusing more than that?

Introduction

This article of mine is in connection with my previous article ‘Reality’. As always, the main purpose of my article is to educate my dear readers with more facts, realities rather to impose my ideas. In this article of mine, wherever I quote any author of a Christian site, I would be calling them as ‘Mr. Author’.

The purpose of these articles is not to attack the Christians, but to bring forward the facts.

Indulgent

 It is important to understand that it is not a pre-condition of acceptance that a Prophet be foretold by an earlier Prophet. Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– was a Prophet to Pharaoh even though he was not prophesized by anyone before him. Abraham – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– was Prophet to Nimrod, yet no one prophesized his coming. 

Noah, Lot, and others were true Prophets – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them– of Almighty Allah, yet they were not foretold. The evidence of a Prophet’s truth is not limited to old prophecies, but it includes the actual message brought by him.

Regarding Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him–, we have records of early Jews and Christians, both monks and rabbis, who witnessed that Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– was the fulfillment of specific Biblical prophecies. The following are some examples of these people.

The first witness was Buhaira, the Christian monk, who recognized Muhammad’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– Prophethood when he was still young and told his uncle (Muhammad’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– Uncle Abu Tâlib):

“…a great fortune lies before your nephew, so take him home quickly.”

The second witness was Waraqah bin Nawfal, a Christian scholar who died soon after a meeting with Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him–. Waraqah attested that Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– was the Prophet of his time and received revelation exactly like Moses and Jesus peace and blessings of Almighty Allah upon all of them.

The Jews of Madinah were anxiously awaiting the arrival of a prophet. The third and fourth witnesses were their two famous Jewish rabbis, Abdullah bin Salam and Mukhayriq.

The fifth and sixth witnesses were also Yemeni Jewish rabbis, Wahab ibn Munabbih, and Ka`b al-Ahbar (d. 656 CE). Ka`b found long passages of praise and the description of the Prophet prophesized by Moses– peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– in the Bible.

The Qur’ân states (interpretation of the meaning)

“Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?” 

Holy Qur’ân 26:197

 In this article of mine, you will read the indeed prophecies about Muhammad made by Moses and Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them– in the Bible, and you will also read the verdicts of learned Christian and Jew Scholars upon these verses of Bible.

Beginning

 It is said “All is well, that ends well”. But I say that the beginning is also very important, in order to judge the approach of a runner to the final line. If the runner does not have a valid start, he will be thrown out of the race. So, ‘Beginning’ is equally important.

In the light of my article “That Prophet”, let us also start from the beginning, because, it is only then, that the facts would be in safe, nice hands.

Now, let us start from Deuteronomy 17:15

“Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee whom the LORD thy God shall choose. One from among thy brethren shalt thou set as king over thee; thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, who is not thy brother.”  Deuteronomy 17:15 (Emphasis mine)

Christians quote this verse to put their innocent impression upon others that ‘No NON-ISRAELITE KING’ over Israel. In fact, this is not the reality. If you analyze this verse by keeping the facts in your mind that, both Ishmael and Isaac – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – are brothers and in that sense their

children are ‘Brethren’ to each other. Now, when the verse says, “among thy brethren”, it may mean “your Ishmaelite brothers” and when the verse says, “not set a stranger over thee”, it may mean “One who is not among your kin” as it is more clear on further reading of the same verse“who is not thy brother”.

Ishmaelites are BROTHERS to Israelites. So, the chance of ‘Ishmaelite’ being a king over Israelite is not at all demolished.

A Christian writer on a Christian site (I would be calling them as ‘Mr. Author’) under the heading of his topic “Who is the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18” says:

Start quote — “I took a look at how the term ‘brethren’ (King James Version) is used throughout Deuteronomy. I found that it is used about 20 times; at least 14 times it means ‘fellow Israelites’ – members of the 12 tribes. Twice it is used to ref. the Edomites, and once for Levitical brothers, once for literal brothers (25:5), and twice for the verses in question:  18:15, 18.

Therefore, the overwhelming majority  of times the context is used for referring to ‘fellow Israelites’.” — End quote. (Emphasis mine)

Is “Overwhelming majority” and “Context” the real acid with which we can test? No, simply no … Let me give you an example to clarify.

Suppose I am a teacher of a class which has a strength of 25. One day I come to the class and addressing my students I say “John is a good student. He is hard working and brilliant student. He was the toper in the class test. He not only concentrates over his studies but also participates in games. He also won a gold medal in sports. He also helps his parents in the household.”

The next day I come and address the class saying “Mark is a good student. He is hard working and brilliant student. He was the toper in the class test. He not only concentrates over his studies but also participates in games. He also won a gold medal in sports.”

The third day I address the class saying “Michael is a good student. He is hard working and brilliant student. He was the toper in the class test. He respects elders.”

The fourth day I address my class saying “He is a good student. He is hard working and brilliant student. He was the toper in the class test. He not only concentrates over his studies but also participates in games. He also helps his parents in the household.”

Now, my simple question to my dear reader is that, after looking at so many Hes Can anyone dare to tell me that on the fourth day for W-H-O-M I am using so much Hes? Is it John? Mark? Michael? or WHO?

Can anyone, in the background of “context” dare to give the reply? Does “overwhelming majority” help? 

as said by this Mr. Author. No, no one can tell for ‘whom’ I am using “He” on the 4^th day. Just like this, the “overwhelming majority” of the occurrence of the word ‘brethren’ does not solve the question.

Interesting, as it may sound that, in the context of Deuteronomy 17:15, there is nothing to point out that for W-H-O-M the word “BRETHREN” is referred to.

“Brethren”

   As Arabic and Hebrew are sister languages, the word ‘brethren’ in English is known as ‘Akh’ in Arabic and ‘Awkh’ () in Hebrew. The correct definition of the word brethren, Akh, or Awkh is

1) Brother

a) brother of same parents

b) half-brother (same father)

c) relative, kinship, same tribe

d) each to the other (reciprocal relationship)

e) (fig.) of resemblance

The reality is that this word ‘brethren’ is very vast in its meaning, since you can notice from the wide range of meaning, which this word has.

Ishmael; The First Born

As the Prophecy reads as follows: “I WILL RAISE THEM UP A PROPHET FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN LIKE UNTO THEE…….” The emphasis is on the words- “From among their brethren.” You see, the Holy Bible speaks of Abraham as the “Friend of God”. Abraham had two wives – Sarah and Hagar.

 Hagar bore Abraham a son – HIS FIRST-BORN- ‘……And Abraham called HIS SON’S name, which Hagar bare Ishmael.’ (Genesis 16:15). ‘And Abraham took Ishmael HIS SON……” (Genesis 17:23). 

‘And Ishmael HIS SON was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.'(Genesis 17:25).

Up to the age of THIRTEEN Ishmael was the ONLY son and seed of Abraham, when the covenant was ratified between God and Abraham. God grants Abraham another son through Sarah, named Isaac, who was very much the junior to his brother Ishmael.

Arabs and Jews

If Ishmael and Isaac are the sons of the same father Abraham, then they are brothers. And so, the children of the one are the BRETHREN of the children of the other. The children of Isaac are the Jews, and the Children of Ishmael are the Arabs – so they are BRETHREN to one another.

The Bible affirms, ‘AND HE (ISHMAEL) SHALL DWELL IN THE PRESENCE OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.‘ (Genesis 16:12). ‘AND HE (ISHMAEL) DIED IN THE PRESENCE OF ALL HIS BRETHREN. (Genesis 25:18).

The children of Isaac are the brethren of the Ishmaelites. In like manner Muhammad is from among the brethren of the Israelites because he was a descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham. This exactly as the prophecy has it- ‘FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN’. (Deut.18:18).

There the prophecy distinctly mentions that the coming prophet who would be like Moses, must arise NOT from the ‘children of Israel’ or from ‘among themselves’, but from among their brethren. MUHAMMAD THEREFORE WAS FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN! 

After thinking over the word ‘brethren’, a common-sense minded person will agree to me, that, being a ‘brethren’ is not the ‘ACID TEST’ for proving the eligible Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18. Since there are so many ‘Brethren’ prophets among the Israelites themselves i.e.

Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – and then Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him– among the children of Ishmaelite who is the elder brother of Isaac– peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is also their (Israelites) ‘Brethren’.

So, no one can decide who the ‘Eligible’ Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18 is.

ACID TESTS

 In the following are the points, which are the only “ACID TESTS” to determine the ‘Eligible’ Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18.

1^st Acid Test

“Like Unto Thee.”

“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren LIKE UNTO THEE and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him.” Deuteronomy 18:18 (Emphasis mine)

This is a very important verse and a lot has been said upon it from the Christendom side. They want to disprove the Muslim point over this verse. Remember, there is no cure of envy in the whole world. It is the same as, if you wear yellow glasses, the whole environment will be yellowish to you, and if you wear bluish glasses, the whole environment will be bluish to you. So, throw away the glasses of envy and seek the truth.

As a student of truth, I am prepared to accept the truth, if it comes from the other side, but if the truth comes from my side, then I want you to do the same. Now, being the seeker of truth let us analyze this verse, but with great care.

As this verse is prophesying about a coming person. Ask any Christian that who is prophesied in this verse? Without the slightest hesitation he will answer: “JESUS!” Now you ask him “Why Jesus? His name is not mentioned here.

“ He will reply: “Since prophecies are word-pictures of something that is going to happen in the future, we find that the wordings of this verse adequately describe him. You see the most important words of this prophecy are – like unto thee, – LIKE YOU – like Moses, and Jesus is like Moses. Now, ask your Christian fellows “In which way is Jesus like Moses?”His reply will be.

“In the first place Moses was a JEW and Jesus was also a JEW; secondly, Moses was known by God “face to face,” meaning God spoke to him directly and Jesus was also known by God “face to face,”.

Thirdly

Moses performed awesome miracles and Jesus also performed awesome miracles – therefore Jesus is like Moses and that is exactly what God had foretold Moses – ” like unto thee”.”

After giving such a confident reply, a Christian might be feeling the ‘Holy Ghost’ working inside him. But, I give you an ‘Oscar’ winning dialogue: 

“If these are the only criteria for discovering a candidate for this prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:18, then in that case the criteria could fit any one of the following Biblical personages after Moses: –

Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – etc., because they were also ALL “Jews” as well as known by God “face to face,”.

Why should we not apply this prophecy to any one of these prophets, and why only to Jesus? Why should we make fish from one and fowl from another???” 

Now, wait for the Holy Ghost to reply …

As far as Miracles are concerned, they do not prove even Prophethood, or whether a man is true or false. Jesus himself said:

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24 (Emphasis mine)

If false prophets and false Christs can perform miraculous feats, then these wonders or miracles do not prove even the geniuses or otherwise, of a prophet.

John the Baptist, according to Jesus, was the greatest of the Israelite prophets. Greater than Moses, David, Solomon, Isaiah, and all, not excluding himself – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –: in his own words: 

“Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist…” Matthew 11:11 (Emphasis mine)

1. Not excluding Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –: because was he not born of a woman – Mary – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon her –?

2.  The Baptist – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, greater than “all”, yet he performed not a single miracle! Miracles are no standards of judging truth and falsehood.

So, you see, according to the Bible, Miracles prove nothing, just nothing.

Along with above claims, I have come across some Christians saying:

“One could just as well say Jesus was the promised prophet because, like Moses but unlike Muhammad, he was saved from death as a baby (Exodus 1:17, 2:2-10, Matthew 2:16), preached about sacrifice being the way to get forgiveness of sins (Leviticus 4, Matthew 26:28, Hebrews 9:22).” 

Now, let us tackle these claims one by one.

Firstly

when Christians say that Jesus was saved in his childhood just like Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – and quote Matthew 2:16 to prove Jesus’ – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – saving.

Kindly ask your Christian brothers to read Luke 2:6-40. Because the entire 2^nd chapter of Luke does not give even a small hint about the life of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – being in danger. Not even a small hint of such an important event recorded by Luke.

Now, Christians should kindly tell us that whom should we believe, Matthew 2:16 or Luke 2:6-40?

Secondly

As far as sacrifice for sins is concerned (Leviticus 4). If you read the entire chapter 4 of Leviticus, you will come to know that people who committed sin were commanded to sacrifice Animals for forgiveness from their sins and they had a method to deal with the sacrificed animals. Was that method also adopted with Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –?

The verses 12-14 of Hebrews 9 throws an impression upon the reader that the sacrifices of animals done by Israelites at the time of Moses had only outwardly impact, whereas the sacrifice of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – has cleaned our consciences.

But, if you analyze the verses of Hebrew 9 under the light of Leviticus 4, you will come across many important questions:

1.   According to Leviticus 4, sacrifices were offered to God. Christians say that “GOD SACRIFICED His only son to save us”. The question is “to whom did God SACRIFICE Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – when God owns the whole universe?”

2.   God is Just, and justice requires that nobody should be punished for the sins of others, nor should some people be saved by punishing other people. Doesn’t the claim that God sacrificed Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – to save us because He was Just, contradict the definition of justice?

3.   A real sacrifice is when you cannot get back what you have offered, so what would be the big deal about such a sacrifice if God could recover back the same offering? (Hebrews 9:28 “… he (Jesus) will appear a second time“)

4.   If all the Christians are saved through Jesus and are going to Heaven no matter what they do, then the teachings of Jesus are irrelevant and the definition of good and bad are also rendered irrelevant. If this is not so, then do Christians who believe in Jesus yet do not follow his teachings nor repent go to Hell?

5.   Why does the Bible say that Jesus wanted to die on the cross, when, on the cross, he was shouting “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” according to Matthew 27:45 and Mark 15:33?

All these questions need logical answers.  

Dear reader, Jesus is most unlike Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –

“In the FIRST place Jesus is not like Moses, because, according to Christendom – ‘JESUS IS A GOD’, but Moses is not God. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses! 

“SECONDLY, according to Christendom – ‘JESUS DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD’, but Moses did not have to die for the sins of the world. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses!” 

“THIRDLY:

According to Christendom – ‘JESUS WENT TO HELL FOR THREE DAYS’, but Moses did not have to go there. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses!”   

I can only give these references and escape away, but I would not be doing justice then. Therefore, I will be completely handling the situation. I ask my dear readers, especially Christian readers, to think with a very cool mind that these are not hard facts, solid facts; they are mere matters of belief over which the little ones can stumble and fall.

Therefore, let us discuss something amazingly simple, very easy that if your little ones are called in to hear the discussion, would have no difficulty in following it, shall we?   

 The Most Crucial Point

No New Laws

An extremely important, basic, and most crucial point which makes Prophet Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – different from all the other Israelite Prophets and similar to Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is that both of them brought new laws and new regulations for their people.

All the Israelite Prophets, Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, including Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – were the followers of Prophet Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – and the comprehensive ceremonial law, which he brought.

Moses not only gave the Ten Commandments to the Israelites, but a very comprehensive ceremonial law for the guidance of his people.

Muhammad comes to a people steeped in barbarism and ignorance. They married their stepmothers; they buried their daughters alive; drunkenness, adultery, idolatry, and gambling were the order of the day. Gibbon describe the Arabs before Islam in his “Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire”,

‘THE HUMAN BRUTE, ALMOST WITHOUT SENSE, IS POORLY DISTINGUISHED FROM THE REST OF THE ANIMAL CREATION.’

There was hardly anything to distinguish between the “man” and the “animal” of the time; they were animals in human form.

From this abject barbarism, Muhammad elevated them, in the words of Thomas Carlyle, “into torch-bearers of light and learning”.

‘TO THE ARAB NATION IT WAS AS A BIRTH FROM DARKNESS INTO LIGHT. ARABIA FIRST

BECAME ALIVE BY MEANS OF IT. A POOR SHEPHERD PEOPLE, ROAMING UNNOTICED IN

ITS DESERTS SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD. SEE, THE UNNOTICED BECOMES WORLD

NOTABLE, THE SMALL HAS GROWN WORLD-GREAT. WITHIN ONE

CENTURY AFTERWARDS ARABIA WAS AT GRANADA ON ONE HAND AND AT DELHI ON THE

OTHER. GLANCING IN VALOUR AND SPLENDOUR, AND

THE LIGHT OF GENIUS, ARABIA SHINES OVER A GREAT SECTION OF THE WORLD.

…” (Emphasis mine)

The fact is that Muhammad gave his people a Law and Order they never had before.

As regards Jesus, when the Jews felt suspicious of him that he might be an impostor with designs to pervert their teachings, Jesus took pains to assure them that he had not come with a new religion – no new laws and no new regulations. I quote his own words:

“Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.” Mathew5:17-18 (Emphasis mine)

In other words, he did not come with any new laws or regulations; he came only to fulfill the old law. This is what he gave the Jews to understand – unless he was speaking with the tongue in his cheek trying to bluff the Jews into accepting him as a man of God and by subterfuge trying to ram a new religion down their throats. No!

This Messenger of God would never resort to such foul means to subvert the Religion of God.

He himself fulfilled the laws. He observed the commandments of Moses, and he respected the Sabbath. At no time did a single Jew point a finger at him to say, ‘why don’t you fast’ or ‘why don’t you wash your hands before you break bread’, which charges they always levied against his disciples, but never against Jesus.

This is because as a good Jew he honored the laws of the Prophets who preceded him. In short, he had created no new religion and had brought no new law like Moses and Muhammad. Again “Yes.” is the answer. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”

Watertight Arguments

Father and Mother

Moses had a father and a mother. Muhammad also had a father and a mother. But Jesus had only a mother, and no human father. Is this true?” “Yes” is the answer. Meaning: “Therefore Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses!”

Miraculous Birth

Moses and Muhammad were born in the normal, natural course, i.e., the physical association of man and woman; but Jesus was created by a special miracle.

You will recall that we are told in the Gospel of St. Matthew 1:18 “Before they came together, (Joseph the Carpenter and Mary) she was found to be with a child of the Holy Spirit.” And St. Luke tells us that when the good news of the birth of a holy son was announced to her, Mary reasoned:

“How shall this be since I have no husband? And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you…”(Luke 1:34-35).

The Holy Qur’ân confirms the miraculous birth of Jesus, in nobler and sublimer terms. In answer to her logical question (interpretation of the meaning)

” O MY LORD! HOW SHALL I HAVE A SON WHEN NO MAN HATH TOUCHED ME? “
The angel says in reply: “EVEN SO: ALLAH CREATETH WHAT HE WILLETH: WHEN HE HATH DECREED A PLAN, HE BUT SAITH TO IT “BE,” AND IT IS ” Holy Qur’ân 3:47

It is not necessary for God to plant a seed in man or animal. He merely wills it, and it comes into being. This is the Muslim conception of the birth of Jesus. In short, Jesus was born miraculously as against the natural birth of Moses and Muhammad. “Yes!” is the answer.

 “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses. And God says to Moses in the Book of Deuteronomy 18:18 “LIKE UNTO THEE” (Like You, Like Moses) and Muhammad is like Moses.”

Marriage Ties

Moses and Muhammad married and begat children, but Jesus remained a bachelor all his life. Again “Yes.” “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”

Jesus Rejected by his People.

Moses and Muhammad were accepted as prophets by their people in their very lifetime. No doubt the Jews gave endless trouble to Moses, and they murmured in the wilderness, but as a nation, they acknowledged that Moses was a Messenger of God sent to them.

The Arabs too made Muhammad’s life impossible. He suffered very badly at their hands. After 13 years of preaching in Makkah, he had to emigrate from the city of his birth. But before his demise, the Arab nation as a whole accepted him as the Messenger of Allah. But according to the Bible: 

‘He (Jesus) came to his own home, and his own people received him not.’ John1:11. And even today, after two thousand years, his people- the Jews, as a whole, have rejected him. Is this true? “Yes.” “THEREFORE, JESUS IS NOT LIKE MOSES, BUT MUHUMMED IS LIKE MOSES.”

“Other-Worldly” Kingdom

Moses and Muhammad were prophets as well as kings. A prophet means a man who receives Divine Revelation for the Guidance of Man and this Guidance he conveys to God’s creatures as received without any addition or deletion. A king is a person who has the power of life and death over his people.

It is immaterial whether the person wears a crown or not, or whether he was ever addressed as king or monarch: if the man has the prerogative of inflicting capital punishment – HE IS A KING. Moses possessed such a power.

Do you remember the Israelite who was found picking up firewood on Sabbath Day and Moses had him stoned to death? (Numbers- 15:13). There are other crimes also mentioned in the Bible for which capital punishment was inflicted on the Jews at the behest of Moses.

Muhammad too, had the power of life and death over his people. 

There are instances in the Bible of persons who were given the gift of prophecy only, but they were not in a position to implement their directives.

Some of these holy men of God who were helpless in the face of stubborn rejection of their message, were the prophets Lot, Jonah, Daniel, Ezra, and John the Baptist. They could only deliver the message but could not enforce the Law.

The Holy Prophet Jesus also belonged to this category. The Christian Gospel clearly confirms this: when Jesus was dragged before the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate, charged for sedition, Jesus made a convincing point in his defense to refute the false charge: JESUS ANSWERED, 

“My kingship is not of this world’: if mykingshipwere of this world, my servants would have fight, that I might not be handed over to the Jews, but my Kingship is not from the world”John18:36.

This convinced Pilate (A Pagan) that though Jesus might not be in full possession of his mental faculty, he did not strike him as being a danger to his rule. Jesus claimed a spiritual Kingdom only; in other words, he only claimed to be a Prophet. Is this true?” “Yes.” Is the reply. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”

How they Departed

Both Moses and Muhammad died natural deaths, but according to Christianity, Jesus was violently killed on the cross. Is this true?” “Yes.” is the reply. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”

Heavenly Abode

Moses and Muhammad both lie buried in earth, but according to you, Jesus in heaven. “Yes.” Without any hesitation to Christians. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”

Forced to Migrate.

Moses was forced to emigrate in adulthood to Median while Muhammad was forced to emigrate in his life too, towards Madinah. Whereas Jesus did not have such forced emigration in his adulthood. “Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”

The crucial attributes that the future prophet would have to possess to be “like unto Moses” are all found in Muhammad and not in Jesus.

2^nd Acid Test

Words in the Mouth

  The prophecy proceeds further: ‘…….and I WILL PUT MY WORDS INTO HIS MOUTH …….’ Deuteronomy 18:18 (Emphasis mine)

The Holy Qur’ân says the same about Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – (interpretation of the meaning): 

“Neither does he speak out of his own desire: that [which he conveys to you] is but [a divine] inspiration with which he is being inspired.” Holy Qur’ân 53:3-4

What does it mean when it is said ‘I will put my words in your mouth?’

Suppose I ask you to open Deuteronomy chapter 18, verse 18, and read. Now, if you read: would I be putting my words into your mouth?”

The answer is: “No.” “But” If I tell you to open the Bible, read Deuteronomy 18:18 and you tell me that “I can not read as I am illiterate.” Then, my reply would be ‘repeat’ after me. 

Therefore, I were to teach you something, which you have no knowledge, and if I ask you to read after me what I utter i.e.

Would I not be putting these unheard words which you utter, into your mouth? The words of the Holy Qur’ân, the Revelation vouchsafed by the Almighty God to Muhammad, were revealed. 

Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was forty years of age. He was in a cave some three miles north of the City of Makkah.

It was the 27th night of the Muslim month of Ramadan. In the cave the Archangel Gabriel commands him in his mother tongue: ‘IQRA’ which means READ! Or PROCLAIM! Or RECITE! Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is terrified and in his bewilderment replies “MAA ANA BEQAARI” which means I AM NOT LEARNED! The angel commands him a second time with the same result. For the third time the angel continues. 

Now Muhammad, grasps, that what was required of him was to repeat! to rehearse! And he repeats the words as they were put into his mouth:

These are the first five verses, which were revealed to Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, which now occupy the beginning of the 96th chapter of the Holy Qur’ân.

During the next twenty-three years of his prophetic life, words were ‘Put into his mouth’, and he uttered them. They made an indelible impression on his heart and mind: and as the volume of the Sacred Scripture (Holy Qur’ân) grew, they were recorded on palm-leaf fiber, on skins and on the shoulder-blades of animals; and in the hearts of his devoted disciples.

Before his demise, these words were arranged according to his instructions in the order in which we find them today in the Holy Qur’ân.

PROOF

We all know that this man Muhammad was a Creature and not the Creator. Yet this man foretold such facts, which modern day people with such mind-blowing technology are telling us.

Creation of the Universe

Dr. Maurice Bucaille, in “The Bible, The Qur’ân and Science”, says:

“From an examination of creation as described in the Qur’ân, an extremely important general concept emerges: The Qur’ânic narration is quite different from the Biblical narration. This idea contradicts the parallels which are often wrongly drawn by Western authors to emphasize the resemblance between the two texts.”

“(God) who created the earth and heavens above.” Holy Qur’ân 20:4 (interpretation of the meaning)

“Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, and then We split them apart? …” Holy Qur’ân 21:30 (interpretation of the meaning)

“God is the one who created the heavens, the earth and what is between them…” Holy Qur’ân 25:59 (interpretation of the meaning)

“God then rose turning towards the heaven when it was smoke” Holy Qur’ân 41:11 (interpretation of the meaning)

There is a strong tendency in the West to claim that Muhammad copied the general outlines mentioned in the Qur’ân from the Bible.

Dr. Maurice Bucaille, in “The Bible, The Qur’ân and Science”, says:

“Brief survey of Qur’ânic references to creation clearly shows us how modern scientific data and statements in the Qur’ân consistently agree on a large number of points. In contrast, the successive phases of creation mentioned in the Biblical text are totally unacceptable. For example, in Genesis 1:9-19 the creation of the earth (on the 3rd day) is placed before that of the heavens (on the 4th day).

It is a well-known fact that our planet came from its own star, the sun. In such circumstances, how could anyone claim that Muhammad, the supposed author of the Qur’ân, drew his inspiration from the Bible. 

Such a claim would mean that, of his own accord, he corrected the Biblical text to arrive at the correct concept concerning the formation of the Universe. Yet the correct concept was reached by scientists many centuries after his death.” (Emphasis mine)

The Origins of Life

“And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?” Holy Qur’ân 21:30 (interpretation of the meaning)

The building blocks of all living things are called cells. They are the basic units of life.

Protoplasm (cytoplasm + nucleus) is the substance of all living things. Cytoplasm is a jelly-like material consisting of water and dissolved substances. The constitution of protoplasm is about 80-85% water. Without water life is not possible.

None of the myths on the origins of life that abounded at the time of the Qur’ân are present in the text. Furthermore, the fact that all life originated from water would not have been a very easy thing to convince people of 1400 years ago, especially in the desert!

The Sun and Moon

Whereas the Bible talks of the sun and the moon as two lights differing only in size, the Qur’ân distinguishes between them by the use of different terms: light (noor) for the moon, and lamp (siraaj) for the sun (interpretation of the meaning):

“Did you see how Allah created seven heavens, one above the other, and made in them the moon a light and the sun a lamp?”Holy Qur’ân 78:12-13

The moon is an inert body which reflects light, whereas the sun is a celestial body in a state of permanent combustion producing both light and heat.

Stars and Planets

The word ‘star’ (najm) in the Qur’ân (86:3) is accompanied by the adjective ‘thaaqib’ which indicates that it burns and consumes itself as it pierces through the shadows of the night. It was much later discovered that stars are heavenly bodies producing their own light like the sun.

In the Qur’ân, a different word, ‘kawkab’, is used to refer to the planets which are celestial bodies that reflect light and do not produce their own light like the sun (interpretation of the meaning):

“We have adorned the lowest heaven with ornaments, the planets.” Holy Qur’ân 37:6

Orbits

In chapter al-Ambiyaa we find (interpretation of the meaning):

“(God is) the one who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Each one is traveling in an orbit with its own motion.” Holy Qur’an21:33

The Arabic word which expresses this movement is the verb ‘yasbahoon’ which implies the idea of motion produced by a moving body, whether it is the movement of one’s legs running on the ground, or the action of swimming in water. In the case of a celestial body, one is forced to translate it, according to its original meaning, as ‘to travel with its own motion.’

The Day and Night

The Qur’ânic description of the sequence of day and night would, in itself, be rather commonplace were it not for the fact that it is expressed in terms that are today highly appropriate. The Qur’ân uses the verb ‘kawwara’ in chapter AZ-Zumar to describe the way the night ‘winds’ or ‘coils’ itself around the day and the day around the night (interpretation of the meaning):

“He coils the night upon the day and the day upon the night.” Holy Qur’ân 39:5

Commenting upon this fact Dr. Maurice Bucaille, in “The Qur’ân and Modern Science”, says:

“Original meaning of the verb ‘kis’, to coil a turban around the head. This is a totally valid comparison; yet at the time the Qur’ân was revealed, the astronomical data necessary to make this comparison were unknown. 

It is not until man landed on the moon and observed the earth spinning on its axis, that the dark half of the globe appeared to wind itself around the light and the light half appeared to wind itself around the dark.”

The Solar Apex

The notion of a settled place for the sun is vividly described in chapter Yaa Seen of the Qur’ân (interpretation of the meaning):

“The sun runs its course to a settled place That is the decree of the Almighty, the All Knowing.” Holy Qur’ân 36:38

“Settled place” is the translation of the word ‘mustaqarr’, which indicates an exact appointed place and time. Modern astronomy confirms that the solar system is indeed moving in space at a rate of 12 miles per second towards a point situated in the constellation of Hercules (alpha lyrae) whose exact location has been precisely calculated. Astronomers have even given it a name, ‘the solar apex.’

Expansion of the Universe

Chapter ath-Thaariyaat of the Qur’ân also seems to allude to one of the most imposing discoveries of modern science, the expansion of the Universe (interpretation of the meaning):

“I built the heaven with power, and it is I, who am expanding it.”Holy Qur’ân 51:47

The expansion of the universe was first suggested by the general theory of relativity and is supported by the calculations of astrophysics. The regular movement of the galactic light towards the red section of the spectrum is explained by the distancing of one galaxy from another. Thus, the size of the universe appears to be progressively increasing.

This was first confirmed by an American Astronomer Edwin Hubble in 1925. Qur’ân talks about it in the time of Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him (570-632).

Conquest of Space

Among the achievements of modern science is the “conquest” of space which has resulted in man’s journey to the moon. The prediction of this event surely springs to mind when we read the chapter ar-Rahmân in the Qur’ân (interpretation of the meaning):

“O assembly of Jinns and men, if you can penetrate the regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate them! You will not penetrate them except with authority.” Holy Qur’ân 55:33

Authority to travel in space can only come from the Creator of the laws which govern movement and space. The whole of this Qur’ânic chapter invites humankind to recognize God’s beneficence.

Rain

Qur’ân says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Have you not seen that Allah sent rain down from the sky and caused it to penetrate the ground and come forth as springs, then He caused crops of different colors to grow…” Holy Qur’ân 39:21

Such notions seem quite natural to us today, but we should not forget that, not so long ago, they were not prevalent. It was not until the sixteenth century, with Bernard Palissy, that we gained the first coherent description of the water cycle. 

Prior to this, people believed that the waters of the oceans, under the effect of winds, were thrust towards the interior of the continents. They then returned to the oceans via the great abyss, which, since Plato’s time, was called the Tartarus.

In the seventeenth century, great thinkers such as Descartes still believed in this myth. Even in the nineteenth century there were still those who believed in Aristotle’s theory that water was condensed in cool mountain caverns and formed underground lakes that fed springs.

Today, we know that it is the infiltration of rainwater into the ground that is responsible for this. If one compares the facts of modern hydrology with the data found in numerous verses of the Qur’ân on this subject, one cannot fail to notice the remarkable degree of agreement between the two.

In another place Qur’ân says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Seest thou not that God makes the clouds move gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap? – then will thou see rain issue forth from their midst. And He sends down from the sky mountain masses (of clouds) wherein is hail: He strikes there with whom He pleases, and He turns it away from whom He pleases. The vivid flash of His lightning well-nigh blinds the sight.” Holy Qur’ân 24:43

Mountains

Qur’ân, 1400 years before foretold those things, which we come to know now. Let us now compare modern ideas with one verse among many in the Qur’ân, that deals with subject of ‘Mountains’. It is taken from chapter an-Naba’ (interpretation of the meaning):

“Have We not made the earth an expanse and the mountains stakes?” Holy Qur’ân 78:6-7

Stakes (awtaad), which are driven into the ground like those used to anchor a tent, are the deep foundations of geological folds.

The idea of ‘Mountains’ acting like ‘Stakes’ was first given by Sir George Airy in 1865. Today this theory is known as ‘Plate Tectonics’. Frank Press confirms this theory and confirms that the mountains really have deep roots inside the earth.

Botany

Progress in botany at the time of Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was not advanced enough in any country for scientists to know that plants have both male and female parts. Nevertheless, we may read the following in the chapter Taa Haa (interpretation of the meaning):

“(God is the One who) sent down rain from the sky and with it brought forth a variety of plants in pairs.” Holy Qur’ân 20:53

Today we know that fruit comes from plants that have sexual characteristics even when they come from unfertilized flowers, like bananas. In the chapter Ar-Ra`d we read the following (interpretation of the meaning):

“… and of all fruits (God) placed (on the earth) two pairs.” Holy Qur’ân 13:3

Physiology

Qur’ân says(interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, in cattle there is a lesson for yon. I give you drink from their insides, coming from a conjunction between the digested contents (of the intestines) and the blood, milk pure and pleasant for those who drink it.” Holy Qur’ân 16:66

Commenting upon this fact Dr. Maurice Bucaille, in “The Qur’ân and Modern Science”, says:

“In the field of physiology, there is one verse which appears extremely significant to me. One thousand years before the discovery of the blood circulatory system, and roughly thirteen centuries before it was determined that the internal organs were nourished by the process of digestion, a verse in the Qur’ân described the source of the constituents of milk, in conformity with scientific facts.”

This very precise concept is the result of the discoveries made in the chemistry and physiology of the digestive system over one thousand years after the time of Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him.

Fertilization

Let us now analyze, precise ideas concerning the complexity of the semen and the fact that an infinitely small quantity is required to ensure fertilization. In chapter al-Insaan the Qur’ân states (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, I created humankind from a small quantity of mingled fluids.” Holy Qur’ân 76:2

The Arabic word ‘nutfah’ has been translated as “small quantity”. It comes from the verb meaning ‘to dribble, to trickle’ and is used to describe what remains in the bottom of a bucket which has been emptied. The verse correctly implies that fertilization is performed by only a very small volume of liquid.

The Qur’ân talks of a fertilizing fluid composed of different components, it also informs us that human progeny will be formed from something extracted from this liquid.

This is the meaning of the following verse in chapter as-Sajdah (interpretation of the meaning):

“Then He made [man’s] offspring from the essence of a despised fluid.” Holy Qur’ân 32:8

The Arabic word translated by the term ‘essence’ is ‘sulaalah’ which means ‘something extracted, the best part of a thing’. In whatever way it is translated, it refers to part of a whole. Under normal conditions, only one single cell, spermatozoon, out of over 50 million ejaculated by a man during sexual intercourse will actually penetrate the ovule.

Implantation

Once the egg has been fertilized in the fallopian tube, it descends to lodge itself inside the uterus. This process is called the ‘implantation of the egg’. Implantation is a result of the development of vellosities, which, like roots in the soil, draw nourishment from the wall of the uterus and make the egg literally cling to the womb.

The process of implantation is appropriately described in several verses by the word ‘alaq, which is also the title of the chapter in which one of the verses appears (interpretation of the meaning):

“God fashioned humans from a clinging entity.” Holy Qur’ân 96:2

Embryo

The evolution of the embryo inside the maternal uterus is only briefly described, but the description is accurate, because the simple words referring to it correspond exactly to fundamental stages in its growth. This is what we read in a verse from the Quranic chapter al-Mu’minoon (interpretation of the meaning):

“I fashioned the clinging entity into a chewed lump of flesh, and I fashioned the chewed flesh into bones, and I clothed the bones with intact flesh.” Holy Qur’ân 23:14

The term ‘chewed flesh’ (mudghah) corresponds exactly to the appearance of the embryo at a certain stage in its development.

It is known that the bones develop inside this mass and that they are then covered with muscle. This is the meaning of the term ‘intact flesh’ (lahm).

The embryo passes through a stage where some parts are in proportion and others out of proportion with what is later to become the individual. This is the obvious meaning of a verse in the chapter al-Hajj, which reads as follows (interpretation of the meaning):

“I fashioned (humans) a clinging entity, then into a lump of flesh in proportion and out of proportion.” Holy Qur’ân 22:5

Next, we have a reference to the appearance of the senses and internal organs in the chapter as-Sajdah (interpretation of the meaning):

“… and (God) gave you ears, eyes and hearts.” Holy Qur’ân 32:9

Now if we analyze Quranic Chapter-al-Mu’minun 23:12-14, we will come to know the whole procedure of ‘Human Development’ (interpretation of the meaning):

“And indeed We did create human out of the essence from clay (water and earth). Then We placed it as a drop of mingled sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed. Then We made mingled sperm into a clinging entity, then of that clinging entity We made a chewed lump, then We fashioned out of that chewed lump, Bones and We clothed the bones with intact flesh, then We developed it forth as another creation. So blessed is Allah, the Best of creators.” Holy Qur’ân 23:12-14

Nothing here contradicts today’s data and, furthermore, none of the mistaken ideas of the time have crept into the Qur’ân. Throughout the Middle Ages there were a variety of beliefs about human development based on myths and speculations which continued for several centuries after the period.

The most fundamental stage in the history of embryology came in 1651 with Harvey’s statement that “all life initially comes from an egg”. At that time, when science had benefited greatly from the invention of the microscope, people were still arguing about the respective roles of the egg and spermatozoon.

Buffon, the great naturalist, was one of those in favor of the egg theory. Bonnet, on the other hand, supported the theory of ‘the ovaries of Eve’, which stated that Eve, the mother of the human race, was supposed to have had inside her the seeds of all human beings packed together one inside the other.

Oceanography

The Qur’ân mentions in Quranic chapter -an-Noor, that the ocean is created in layers (interpretation of the meaning):

“Or (the disbeliever’s state) is like the darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, topped by clouds: darkness over darkness: if a person stretches out his hand, can hardly see it! And he for whom Allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light.” Holy Qur’ân 24:40

In 1900, it was discovered by marine scientists that, ocean consists of layers. And every layer absorbs a particular light of the sun, due to which the depth of the sea becomes dark.

In another verse Qur’ân says (interpretation of the meaning)

“He has let free the two seas flowing together. Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress.” Holy Qur’ân 55:19-20

You can view this scene at Cape Town (South Africa). And the Mediterranean Sea flows with the Atlantic Ocean for hundreds of kilometers having a depth of 1000 meter, yet they do not transgress, and a person can have a clear notice of this phenomena of Almighty Allah.

Fingerprints

The Qur’ân mentions in chapter -al-Qiyâmah (interpretation of the meaning):

“Indeed! We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers.” Holy Qur’ân 75:4

In 1880, Sir Francis Gold discovered that, no two persons have similar fingerprints. He said, ‘No two fingerprints, of two individuals are equal even in a million people’.

Honey

In Quranic chapter Nahl, Almighty Allah says (interpretation of the meaning)

“From the belly of the bee you get a drink of varying colors, in which there is healing for mankind.” Holy Qur’ân 16:68-69

It is recently we have come to know that the honey we have is derived from the bee. It is the bee which is responsible for the honey – We did not know about this before. And today we know honey has got high nutritive values. It is rich in vitamin K, and Fructose and it has got mild antiseptic properties. 

No wonder the Russian soldiers, they used honey to cover up their wounds which prevented the evaporation of moisture and left very little scar tissue. Any person suffering from an allergy of a particular plant – if honey produced from that plant is given, that person starts developing resistance to that allergy.

Ponder

Now, think with cool mind, that, how can a person in the middle of a desert tell you all such things, and mind it, that, he was not living in your today’s modern era. He told you all these things without the aid of your modern technology. The question is HOW???

Let me help you out. Because the ‘Creator’ was putting His words in his (Muhammad’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –) mouth. 

A man in 1840, understood this reality and cried out.

“FORGER AND JUGGLER! NO, NO! THIS GREAT FIERY HEART, SEETHING, SIMMERING LIKE A GREAT FURNACE OF THOUGHTS, WAS NOT A JUGGLER’S.” (Emphasis mine)

Sickness

The skeptics have developed a sickness. They allege that Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – himself was not the author of the Qur’ân, but he learnt it and/or plagiarized (copied or adapted) it from other human sources or from previous scriptures or revelations.

This is the thing for which Thomas Carlyle cried in his book “Heroes and Hero-Worship”.

“THE LIES, WHICH WELL-MEANING ZEAL HAS HEAPED ROUND THIS MAN (Muhammad), ARE DISGRACEFUL TO OURSELVES ONLY.” (Emphasis mine)

1. MUHUMMAD LEARNT THE QUR’AN FROM A ROMAN BLACKSMITH WHO WAS A CHRISTIAN

Some accused the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – of learning the Qur’ân from a Roman Blacksmith, who was a Christian staying at the outskirts of Makkah. 

The Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – very often used to go and watch him do his work. A revelation of the Qur’ân was sufficient to dismiss this charge – the Qur’ân says in chapter An-Nahl chapter 16 verse 103 (interpretation of the meaning)

“We know indeed that they say, ‘It is a man that teaches him,’ The tongue of him they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear.” Holy Qur’ân 16:103

How could a person whose mother tongue was foreign and could hardly speak little but of poor broken Arabic be the source of the Qur’ân which is pure, eloquent, fine Arabic? To believe that the blacksmith taught the Prophet the Qur’ân is somewhat similar to believing that a Chinese immigrant to England, who did not know proper English, taught Shakespeare.

2. MUHUMMAD – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – LEARNT FROM WARAQA – THE RELATIVE OF KHADEEJAH – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –.

The most prominent Christian known to Muhammad’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was an old blind man called Waraqa ibn-Naufal who was a relative of the Prophet’s first wife Khadeejah – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –. Although of Arab descent, he was a convert to Christianity and was very well versed with the New Testament.

The Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –only met him twice, first when Waraqa was worshipping at the Ka`bah (before the Prophetic Mission) and he kissed the Prophet’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – forehead affectionately; the second occasion was when the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – went to meet Waraqa after receiving the first revelation.

Waraqa died three years later, and the revelation continued for about 23 years. It is ridiculous to assume that Waraqa was the source of the contents of the Qur’ân.

3. PROPHET’S RELIGIOUS DISCUSSIONS WITH THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS

It is true that the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – did have religious discussions with the Jews and Christians but they took place in Madinah more than 13 years after the revelation of the Qur’ân had started. The allegation that these Jews and Christians where the source is perverse, since in these discussions Prophet

Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was performing the roles of a teacher and of a preacher while inviting them to embrace Islam and pointing out that they had deviated from their true teachings of Monotheism. Several of these Jews and Christians later embraced Islam.

4. THE PROPHET LEARNT THE QUR’AN FROM THOSE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS THAT HE MET OUTSIDE ARABIA

All historical records available show that Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – had made only three trips outside Makkah before his Prophethood:

1.  At the age of 9 he accompanied his mother to Madinah.

2.  Between the age of 9 and 12, he accompanied his uncle Abu-Tâlib on a business trip to Syria.

3.  At the age of 25 he led Khadijah’s Caravan to Syria.

It is highly imaginary to assume that the Qur’ân resulted from the occasional chats and meetings with the Christians or Jews from any of the above three trips.

5. LOGICAL GROUNDS TO PROVE THAT THE PROPHET DID NOT LEARN THE QUR’AN FROM JEWS OR CHRISTIANS

I. The day-to-day life of the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was an open book for all to see. In fact, a revelation came asking people to give the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – privacy in his own home. If the Prophet had been meeting people who told him what to say as a revelation from God, this would not have been hidden for very long.

ii. The extremely prominent Quraysh nobles who followed the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – and accepted Islam were wise and intelligent men who would have easily noticed anything suspicious about the way in which the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – brought the revelations to them – more so since the Prophetic mission lasted 23 years.

iii. The enemies of the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – kept a close watch on him in order to find proof for their claim that he was a liar – they could not point out even a single instance when the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – may have had a secret rendezvous with particular Jews and Christians.

iv. It is inconceivable that any human author of the Qur’ân would have accepted a situation in which he received no credit whatsoever for originating the Qur’ân. 

Thus, historically, and logically it cannot be established that there was a human source for the Qur’ân.

6. MUHUMMAD – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – WAS AN ILLITERATE

The theory that Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – authored the Qur’ân or copied from other sources can be disproved by the single historical fact that he was an illiterate.

Allah testifies Himself in the Qur’ân in chapter Al-`Ankaboot (interpretation of the meaning):

“And thou was not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: in that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted.” Holy Qur’ân 29:48

Almighty Allah knew that many would doubt the authenticity of the Qur’ân and would ascribe it to Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

Therefore, Allah in His Divine Wisdom chose the last and final Messenger to be an ‘Ummi’, i.e., unlettered, so that the talkers of vanity would not then have the slightest justification to doubt the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

The accusation of his enemies that he had copied the Qur’ân from other sources and rehashed it all in a beautiful language might have carried some weight, but even this flimsy pretense has been deprived to the unbeliever and the cynic.  

Allah reconfirms in the Qur’ân in chapter Al A`raf (interpretation of the meaning):

“Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures) in the Law and the Gospel” Holy Qur’ân 7:157

The Qur’ân testifies in no less than four different places that the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was illiterate. It is also mentioned in chapter A`raf chapter 7 verse 158 and in chapter Al-Jumu’a chapter 62 verse 2.

7. ARABIC VERSION OF THE BIBLE WAS NOT PRESENT

The Arabic version of the Bible was not present at the time of Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –. The earliest Arabic version of the Old Testament is that of R. Saadias Gaon of 900 C.E. – more than 250 years after the death of our beloved Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

The oldest Arabic version of the New Testament was published by Erpenius in 1616 C.E. – about a thousand years after the demise of our Prophet. From Mount Sinai, so claimed, oldest Arabic version of the Bible was also found, but it also belongs to 800 C.E – almost 200 years after Prophet’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – death.

8. SIMILARITIES IN THE QUR’AN AND THE BIBLE DUE TO COMMON SOURCE

Similarities between the Qur’ân and the Bible does not necessarily mean that the former has been copied from the latter. In fact, it gives evidence that both of them are based on a common third source; all divine revelations came from the same source – the one universal God.

No matter what human changes were introduced into some of these Judeo-Christian and other older religious scriptures that had distorted their originality, there are some areas that have remained free from distortion and thus are common to many religions.

It is true that there are some similar parallels between the Qur’ân and the Bible, but this is not sufficient to accuse Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – of compiling or copying from the Bible. The same logic would then also be applicable to teachings of Christianity and Judaism and thus one could wrongly claim that Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was not a genuine Prophet (Allah forbid) and that he simply copied from the Old Testament.

The similarities between the two signify a common source that is one true God and the continuation of the basic message of monotheism and not that the later Prophets – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – have plagiarized from the previous prophets.

If someone copies during an examination, he will surely not write in the answer sheet that he has copied from his neighbor or Mr. XYZ. Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – gave due respect and credit to all the previous Prophets – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –. The Qur’ân also mentions the various revelations given by Almighty Allah to different prophets.

9. MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN THE TAURAH=Torah, ZABOOR=Psalms, INJIL=New Testament in the    pure form Almighty Allah revealed them to respective prophets AND QUR’AN

Four revelations of Allah are mentioned by name in the Qur’ân: the Tawrah=Torah, the Zaboor=Psalms, the Injil=New Testament and the Qur’ân.

Tawrah=Torah the revelation=the Wahi given to Moosa=Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him 

Zaboor, the revelation=the Wahi given to Dawood i.e. David – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.
Injil, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Esa i.e. Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him 

‘Al-Qur’ân’, the last and final Wahi i.e. revelation given to the last and final Messenger Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

It is an article of faith for every Muslim to believe in all the Prophets of God and all revelations of God. However, the present-day Bible has the first five books of the Old Testament attributed to Moses and the Psalms attributed to David.

Moreover, the New Testament or the four Gospels of the New Testament are not the Taurah, the Zaboor or the Injil, which the Qur’ân refers to. These books of the present-day Bible may partly contain the word of God, but these books are certainly not the exact, accurate and complete revelations given to the prophets.

The Qur’ân presents all the different prophets of Allah as belonging to one single brotherhood; all had a similar Prophetic mission and the same basic message. Because of this, the fundamental teachings of the major faiths cannot be contradictory, even if there has been a considerable passage of time between the different Prophetic missions, because the source of these missions was one: Almighty God, Allah.

Therefore the Qur’ân says that the differences which exist between various religions are not the responsibility of the Prophets, but of the followers of these Prophets who forgot part of what they had been taught, and furthermore, misinterpreted and changed the scriptures.

The Qur’ân cannot therefore be seen as a scripture which competes with the teachings of Moses, Jesus, and the other Prophets – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –. On the contrary, it confirms, completes, and perfects the messages that they brought to their people.

Another name for the Qur’ân is the ‘The Furqân’ which means the criteria to judge the right from the wrong, and it is on the basis of the Qur’ân that we can decipher which part of the previous scriptures can be considered to be the word of God.

10. SCIENTIFIC COMPARISON BETWEEN QUR’AN AND BIBLE

If you glance through the Bible and the Qur’ân you may find several points which appear to be exactly the same in both of them, but when you analyze them closely, you realize that there is a difference of ‘chalk and cheese’ between them.

Only based on historical details it is difficult for someone who is neither conversant with Christianity or Islam to come to a firm decision as to which of the scriptures is true; however if you verify the relevant passages of both the scriptures against scientific knowledge, you will yourself realize the truth.

a.  Creation of the Universe in Six Days

As per the Bible, in the first book of Genesis One, the universe was created in six days and each day is defined as a twenty-four-hour period. Even though the Qur’ân mentions that the universe was created in six ‘Ayyaams’, ‘Ayyaam’ is the plural of years; this word has two meanings: firstly, it means a standard twenty-four-hour period i.e. a day, and secondly, it also means stage, period or epoch which is a very long period of time.

When the Qur’ân mentions that the universe was created in six ‘Ayyaams’, it refers to the creation of the heavens and the earth in six long periods or epochs; scientists have no objection to this statement. The creation of the universe has taken billions of years, which proves false or contradicts the concept of the Bible which states that the creation of the Universe took six days of twenty-four-hour durations each.

b. Sun Created After the Day

The Bible says in Genesis 1:3-5 that the phenomenon of day and night was created on the first day of creation of the Universe by God. The light circulating in the universe is the result of a complex reaction in the stars; these stars were created according to the Bible (Genesis chapter 1 verse 14 to 19) on the fourth day.

It is illogical to mention the result that is the light (the phenomenon of day and night) was created on the first day of Creation when the cause or source of the light was created three days later.

Moreover, the existence of evening and morning as elements of a single day is only conceivable after the creation of the earth and its rotation around the sun. In contrast with the contents of the Bible on this issue, the Qur’ân does not give any unscientific sequence of Creation.

Hence it is absolutely absurd to say that Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – copied the passages pertaining to the creation of the universe from the Bible but missed out this illogical and fantastic sequence of the Bible.

If, for the sack of argument, if we agree with the skeptics, that Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –copied the Qur’ân from Bible, then they should notice that this man Muhammad is correcting the error, which is present in their book – The Bible.

c. Creation of the Sun, The Earth, and the Moon

According to the Bible, Book of Genesis 1:9-13, the earth was created on the third day, and as per verses 14 to 19, the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day. The earth and the moon emanated, as we know, from their original star, the Sun. Hence to place the creation of the sun and the moon after the creation of the earth is contrary to the established idea about the formation of the solar system.

d. Vegetation Created on the third day and Sun on the fourth day.

According to the Bible, Book of Genesis 1:11-13, vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants, and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as has been stated in the Bible?

If Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was indeed the author of the Qur’ân and had copied its contents from the Bible, how did he manage to avoid the factual errors that the Bible contains? The Qur’ân does not contain any statements which are incompatible with scientific facts.

e. The Sun and the Moon both Emit light.

According to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book of Genesis 1:16, it says, “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night”.

Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light. 

This confirms the Qur’ânic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. To think that 1400 years ago, Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – corrected these scientific errors in the Bible and then copied such corrected passages in the Qur’ân is to think of something impossible.

f. Adam – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, The First man on Earth, Lived 5,800 years ago. as per Bible ???

As per the genealogy of Jesus Christ given in the Bible, from Jesus through Abraham – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – to the first man on earth i.e. Adam, Adam appeared on the earth approximately 5800 years ago:

·       1948 years between Adam and Abraham – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – 

·       Approximately 1800 years between Abraham and Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them. 

·       2000 years from Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – till today.

These figures are further confused by the fact that the Jewish calendar is currently on or about 5800 years old.

There is sufficient evidence from archaeological and anthropological sources to suggest that the first human being on earth was present tens of thousands of years ago and not merely 5,800 years ago as is suggested by the Bible.

Christians and the age of the Earth according to the Bible.

The Qur’ân too speaks about Adam – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – as the first man on earth but it does not suggest any date or period of his life on earth, unlike the Bible – what the Bible says in this regard is totally incompatible with science.

11.  QUR’AN IS A BOOK FROM ALLAH

This evidence is just a glance, but sufficient enough to conclude that the Qur’ân was not copied from the Bible, but that the Qur’ân is the Furqân – ‘the Criteria’ to judge right from wrong and it should be used to decipher which portion of the Bible may be considered as the Word of God.

The Qur’ân itself testifies in Quranic chapter Sajdah 32:1-3 (interpretation of the meaning)

Alif Laam Meem. (This is) the revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt – from the Lord of the Worlds. Or do they say, ‘He has forged it’? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance.” Holy Qur’ân 32:1-3

Another Sickness

As I said earlier, there is no cure for enmity. Enmity just closes your logical doors of mind.

It is alleged by the skeptics of Islam that, ‘Qur’ân is the handiwork of Satan’. In reply to a similar allegation put forward by the pagans of Makkah, that the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – received the revelations from Satan, the following verses were revealed (interpretation of the meaning):

“That this is indeed A Qur’ân most honorable, in a Book well-guarded, Which none shall touch But those who are clean: A Revelation from the Lord Of the Worlds.” Holy Qur’ân 56:77-80 (Emphasis mine)

Kitabim Maknoon means a book well-guarded or a protected book; referring to Lauh-e-Mahfooz in the heaven, which none shall touch except the Mutahhareen i.e. those who do not have any uncleanliness or impurity or evil like sin. This refers to the angels. The Satan is absolutely prohibited.

Thus, since it is impossible for Satan to come anywhere close to it or touch it, the question of him writing the verses of the Glorious Qur’ân does not arise.

It is further mentioned in another chapter (interpretation of the meaning):

“No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): It would neither suit them nor would they be able (To produce it). Indeed, they have been removed Far from even (a chance of) Hearing it.” Holy Qur’ân 26:210-212 (Emphasis mine)

Many people have a wrong concept of Satan. They think that Satan can probably do everything, except a couple of things that God can do. According to them, Satan is slightly below God in power. Since the people do not want to accept that the Qur’ân is a miraculous revelation, they say that it is Satan’s handiwork.

1. If Satan would have written the Qur’ân, he would not have mentioned in the same Qur’ân in Soorah Nahl (interpretation of the meaning):

“When thou does read The Qur’ân, seek Allah’s protection from Satan the Rejected One.” Holy Qur’ân 16:98 (Emphasis mine)

Is this how you feel Satan would write a book? Does he tell you; “Before you read my book ask God to save you from me???“

2. There are several verses in the Qur’ân which will give enough evidence that Satan is not the author of the Qur’ân.

In Quranic chapter Al Aaraf (interpretation of the meaning):

“If a suggestion from Satan assail your (mind), seek refuge with Allah; for He hears and knows (all things).” Holy Qur’ân 7:200 (Emphasis mine)

Why would Satan tell his followers, that whenever he gives any suggestions to them, they should seek refuge in Almighty Allah to whom he is an avowed enemy?

3.  In Quranic Chapter Baqarah (interpretation of the meaning):

“O ye people! Eat of what is on earth, lawful and good; and do not follow the footsteps of the Evil one, for he is to you an avowed enemy.” Holy Qur’ân 2:168 (Emphasis mine)

4.  In Quranic Chapter Yâseen (interpretation of the meaning):

“Did I not enjoin on you, O ye children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; for that he was to you an enemy avowed?” Holy Qur’ân 36:60 (Emphasis mine)

Satan is intelligent, no wonder that he can put this idea into the minds of people that he himself wrote the Qur’ân. Compared to Almighty God, Satan is insignificant, and Almighty Allah is far more intelligent. He knows Satan’s evil intentions and hence no wonder that He has given the reader of the Qur’ân several proofs to show that Qur’ân is God’s word, and not Satan’s word.

The Bible mentions in the Gospel of Mark:

“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.” Mark 3:24-26 (Emphasis mine)

3^rd Acid Test

“In My Name”

Miracle of Miracles! In the verse 19 of Deuteronomy chapter 18, we have a further fulfillment of the prophecy in Muhammad!

“And it shall come to pass that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which He shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.” Deuteronomy 18:19 (Emphasis mine) 

Note the words – “.MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME,”

Open the Holy Qur’ân, and see for yourself this formula being at the head of chapter # 1: 

And the meaning: “IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL.” And the heading of chapter # 2:

And the meaning: “IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL”. And every chapter downwards 3, 4, 5…with the same formula and the same meaning on every page.

“And what did the prophecy demand?’ …WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME and in whose name does Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – speak?

‘IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL.’ The Prophecy is being fulfilled in Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – to the letter. 

Every chapter of the Holy Qur’ân except the 9th begin with the formula:

‘IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL.’ The Muslim begins his every lawful act with this Holy formula. But the Christian begins: “In the name of the Father, son and Holy Ghost.” The Christian theologians are ignorant of even the “name of God.” Because “God” is not a name and “Father” is also not a name.

Some Christians insist that GOD Almighty’s original Holy Name is “Yahweh”. They say:

“His specific, personal name is ‘Yahweh’ or ‘Jehovah’, depending on which transliteration is used for ‘YHWH’ (Hebrew). Its occurrence is with 6823 times by far the most. In Deuteronomy 18:21-22 ‘Yahweh’ is used to identify the name of God in whom a prophet was to speak! Since this name was never used in the Qur’ân and has no equivalent in Arabic one has to come to the conclusion that Muhammad did not fulfil this requirement of a true prophet!”

Now, let us tackle with this Christian claim.

Originally, both Hebrew and Arabic were written without the vowel signs. The native of each language was able to read if even without those vowels. Not so the outsiders, for whose benefit the vowels were invented.

Let us add the vowels. YHWH becomes YeHoWaH, YaHoWaH. Juggle as you like but you can never materialize JeHoVaH! Ask Christian brethrens, from which hat he drew his “J” and “V” (because original letters are “YHWH” and not “JHVH”). He will tell you that “this (pronunciation with ‘J’) is the ‘popular’ pronunciation from the 16th century.” Imagine! Original letter from the so-called real name of Almighty God is replaced with the ‘Popular’ letter.

The European Christians have developed a fondness for the letter “J” They add J’s where there are no Jays. Look!

There is no end to the Westerner’s infatuation for the letter “J.”

The letters Y H W H occur in the Hebrew (Jewish) Scriptures 6823 times, boasts the Jehovah’s Witness, and it occurs in combination with the word “Elohim;” 156 times in the booklet called Genesis alone. This combination YHWH/ELOHIM has been consistently translated in the English Bible as “Lord God,” “Lord God,” Lord God,” ad infinitum.

Regarding the Christian claim that “In Deuteronomy 18:21-22 ‘Yahweh’ is used to identify the name of God in whom a prophet was to speak!”

Deuteronomy 18:21-22 from the21st Century King James Version of Bible, reads like this:

“And if thou say in thine heart, `How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?’ When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously; thou shalt not be afraid of him.” (Emphasis mine)

Now, is “LORD“ a name as claimed above by the Christians?

On page # 225 of the book “Mankind’s Search for GOD”, it says:

“About 3,500 years ago, God spoke to Moses, saying: ‘Thus shall you speak to the Israelites: The LORD [Hebrew: YHWH], the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: This shall be My name forever, this My appellation for all eternity.’

(Exodus 3:15; Psalm 135:13)” Mankind’s Search for GOD, p.225 (Emphasis mine)

“The four Hebrew consonants YHWH (Yahweh) that in their Latinized form have come to be known over the centuries in English as JEHOVAH.” Mankind’s Search for GOD, p.225 (Emphasis mine)

So, the word “YHWH” or “Yahweh” or “Jehovah” is not the ORIGINAL name, but the APPELLATION (title) for the Almighty GOD.

In their “NEW AND IMPROVED EDITION”, please note that in their comment No.1, they concur that – “Elohim, (sometimes El or Elah meaning God)” and alternatively spelled “Alah” (line three, third word).

All the eight D.D.’s above could not have been blind in dittoing the spelling “Alah” for God. How far were they from the Arabic word spelled – ALLAH – in English, I ask you dear reader?

On pointing it out – that Allah is the real name of God and the English Bible of Rev. C. I. Scofield, D.D backed by galaxy of eight other D.D.’s also has it – by world renowned Muslim Orator of his time and my teacher Ahmad Deedat – may Almighty Allah have mercy upon him –, they took it out in their second edition. The word “Alah” was taken out.

“‘Yahweh’ is used to identify the name of God in whom a prophet was to speak! Since this name was never used in the Qur’ân and has no equivalent in Arabic one has to come to the conclusion that Muhammad did not fulfil this requirement of a true prophet!”

4^th Acid Test

“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously; thou shalt not be afraid of him.” Deuteronomy 18:22 (Emphasis mine)

This important quality deals with prophecies, which should be done by this Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18. And the most important thing is the fulfillment of these prophecies.

After microscopically analyzing all the important points of the coming Prophet mentioned in the Deuteronomy 18, and not only analyzing, but also confirming that it is Muhammad and not Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –. We now deal with this important point of ‘Prophecies’.

Prophecies

Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was the last of the Prophets sent by Almighty Allah and thus he foretold many events that would happen in the future. Some of them relate to specific individuals, some to groups, others with the financial, moral and religious situation of the people after him, some deal with

 upcoming battles and trials, and others concern false prophets, the second coming of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – and many other issues. A considerable number happened during his lifetime, some a few years after his death, some centuries after him, and some are foretold to occur close to the Final Day.

Some of these prophecies are as follows:

`Umar – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – reports in a narration recorded in Sahih al-Muslim:

“Before the Battle of Badr started, Allah’s Messenger – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – walked around the battlefield and pointed to some locations, saying, Abu Jahl will be killed here, `Utba here, Shaybah here, Waleed here, and so on.

By Allah, we found after the battle, the dead bodies of all those men in the exact places that Allah’s Messenger had pointed out.”

At the time when 10,000 of the troops of the pagan army of Quraysh were advancing upon Madinah to destroy him and his Companions – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – at Ghazwa-e-Khandaq= ‘The Battle of the Trench’ and he and about 3000 of his Companions – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – were preparing as best they could to stave off this attack by digging a trench.

While Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was digging with them he made number of prophesies including the Muslim’s capture of Yemen, Sham (Jerusalem, Iraq, etc.), Morocco, Persia, and the Eastern countries.

Can you just imagine! A man, who is trying to save himself, is giving glade tidings of overcoming the non-believers upon other land.

On another occasion, the prophet was sitting in a garden. When `Uthmân ibn `Affân – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –asked the permission to walk in, the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – asked Abu Moosa Al-Ash`ari – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – to give him glad tidings that he shall be of the people of Paradise and to further inform him that the people would mutiny against him.

This prophecy was fulfilled many years after the death of the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – when `Uthmân ibn `Affân – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – became the third Caliph and was murdered shortly when a party of the citizens rose against him and slew him.

`Ali ibn Abi Tâlib – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –, the fourth Caliph, had also been informed by the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – of his assassination in such detail that he knew the man who was going to kill him, and identified him pointing him out to the people. They asked Ali – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – why he did not kill the man and he replied: “Then who will kill me?

” The night preceding his assassination Ali – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – came out, gazed at the sky, and said: By Allah, the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – never told a lie, nor was a lie ever told to him. The next day the same man killed Ali – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –, as the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –had predicted.

Safeenah – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – narrated that the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – said: The Caliphate will last almost thirty years; then Allah will give the rule of His Kingdom to whomever He wills. This was indeed the length of the Caliphate after the death of the prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –. After that, the rule of monarchies replaced the rule of the Caliphate.

The Prophet also predicted the division of the Muslims into many sects, and how some people would do to `Ali ibn Abi Tâlib – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – what the Christians did to Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –

This clearly refers to the Shi’its, who exaggerate the love and praise of `Ali ibn Abi Tâlib – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – to such a degree that one of their sects, Al-Nusaria, actually worship him as the manifestation of Allah.

Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – further predicted the capture of Egypt and commanded his followers when this were to occur that they should treat the people well.

He further prophesied that the Muslims would overthrow the Persian Empire and seize the treasures of their Emperor Choseros.

A person by the name Surâqah bin Mâlik – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – was given the tiding of having the bangles of Caesar in his hands. The moment when Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – gave him this tiding, he had not even embraced Islam yet.

Many years after the death of the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, these bangles fell as a possession of Surâqah bin Mâlik – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –, reminding him of the Prophet’s – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – words.

Abu Hurayrah – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – reported that the Messenger of Allah said, “The Hour will not be established until a fire comes out from the earth of Hijâz that lights up the necks of the camels of Busrah.” [Sahih Muslim no. 2902 in Kitab-ul-fitan].

Busrah according to an-Nawawi (Commentary on Sahih Muslim, Vol. 18 p.30) is a city known to be in Syria (Shâm) that is three stations in journey between Damascus and itself.

This is one of those great signs that has been truthfully reported by trustworthy sources to have already taken place just as the Messenger of Allah had informed. It happened 640 years after Muhammad peace be upon him prophesy!

Ibn Katheer talks about this in his history book as one of the events of the year 654 (1260 CE). He said, “In it was the appearance of the fire from the earth of Hijâz that lighted up the necks of the camels in Busrah, just as the report tells us about that in Bukhâri and Muslim (muttafaq ‘alaihi). The great scholar (Shaykh, Imâm,

Allamah and Hâfiz) Shihab-ud-Din Abu Shamah al-Maqdisi elaborates on the statement in his book “Adh-Dhayl wa Sharhuhu” and presents a widely-reported narration (mutawâtir) from many books about this fire in Hijâz that has been definitely witnessed in Damascus; how it emerged and related matters.”

Abu Shamah lived during the time it happened. He clearly and precisely talks about the dates and how eyewitnesses reliably informed him about it. They were in their houses that night and it was as if every single home had a lamp (lighting it up). He mentions detailed reports about it from quite a number of sources.

A great light appeared in Medina on Thursday night on the 3rd of Jumada al-Akhirah in the year 654 (13th century).

Then there was a massive earthquake that shook the earth, trees, and the houses right down to their roofs and doors. This happened repeatedly until Friday and then a huge fire appeared in the Harrah near Quraizah. People saw it from their homes in town as if the fire was with them.

Its flames were higher than three pillars (lighthouses) put together. Its fire flowed towards the Shadh valley like water and blocked it and other paths and highways. Many people were afraid that they would be overcome by it. It (the lava) flowed east. From its centre large boulders or fire came out that consumed rocks.

Once, when the Prophet – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – woke up in the house of Umm Haram – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – (the aunt of Anas ibn Mâlik – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –, who served the Messenger – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – for ten years in Madinah), he smilingly said:

“I dreamt that my community would be waging war in the sea sitting on thrones like kings.”

Umm Haram – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – asked: ‘Pray that I too may be with them’. He said firmly: You shall be.

All this came true forty years later when Umm Haram – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – accompanied her husband `Ubadah ibn Sâmit – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –, on the conquest of Cyprus. She died there, and her tomb has since been a visited place.

“Increase in the use of riba (usury/interest) so that no one will able to escape being tainted by it.” This is clearly the state of the world economy today.

“Nakedness of women, while still being dressed and people copulating like donkeys in public.” Obviously, a direct reference to soft and hard-core pornography, which has become a dark stain on our society in recent times.

“Appearance of Dajjals (liars) each claiming to be a Messenger of Allah, while Muhammad is the last messenger.” There are numerous examples of this, starting with Musaylamah, who arose in the time of the Prophet, just before his death, to more modern liars such as Elija Muhammad, founder of the Black American racist movement “The Nation of Islam”, and India’s pretender Ghulam Ahmed of Qadian.

“The worst and most ignorant will become leaders and they will be oppressors.” Majority of world Leaders are prime examples.

“Disappearance of trustworthiness, so much so that one would only be able to say: “I know a trustworthy person in such-and-such town.””

Bukhâri and Abu Dawud quote Khabbâb ibn Arat – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with –, who said:

“Once, during the days of trouble and torture in Makkah, I went to Allah’s Messenger – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, who was sitting in the shade of the Ka`bah. I was still a slave in the hands of the Makkans then. They inflicted on me severe tortures. Unable to endure those tortures anymore, I requested Allah’s Messenger – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – to pray to Allah for help and salvation.

But he turned towards me and said:

“By Allah, previous communities had to endure more pitiless tortures. Some of them were made to lie in ditches and cut in two with saws but this did not make them forsake their faith.

They were skinned alive, but they never became weak against the enemy. Surely Almighty Allah will perfect this religion, but you display undue haste. A day will come when a woman will travel alone by herself from San`ah to Hadramawt fearing nothing but wild beasts. However, you show impatience.”

Khabbâb – by whom Almighty Allah is pleased with – concluded:

“By Allah, what Allah’s Messenger – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – predicted that day, have all come true. I have personally witnessed it all.”

JULES MASSERMAN, United States psychoanalyst and professor of the Chicago University said “Leaders must fulfill three functions–“

No. 1     THE LEADER MUST PROVIDE FOR THE WELL-BEING OF THE LEAD …

No. 2 THE LEADER OR WOULD BE LEADER MUST PROVIDE A SOCIAL ORGANIZATION IN WHICH PEOPLE FEEL RELATIVELY SECURE …

No. 3   THAT THIS LEADER MUST PROVIDE HIS PEOPLE WITH ONE SET OF BELIEFS

With the foregoing three standards, Masserman searches history and analyses Louis Pasteur, Salk, Gandhi, Confucius, Alexander the Great, Caesar, Hitler, Buddha, JESUS, and the rest;finally coming to the conclusion that – 

PERHAPS THE GREATEST LEADER OF ALL TIMES WAS MUHAMMED, WHO COMBINED

ALL THREE FUNCTIONS. (and) TO A LESSER DEGREE, MOSES DID THE SAME. (Emphasis mine)

Even in the eyes of this non-Muslim American learned person, Jesus is NOT SAMEas Moses, instead Muhammad is SAME as Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –

“See!” How the prophecies fit Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – like a glove. We do not have to stretch prophecies to justify their fulfillment in Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –

Concerning Deuteronomy chapter eighteen, I have given you more than 15 reasons as to how this prophecy refers to Muhammad and NOT to Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –

Genesis

This was a message of Jacob to his children before he died: Genesis 49:1.

“And Jacob called unto his sons, and said: ‘Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. “

Genesis 49:10

“The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a law giver from between his feet, until Shiloh come. And unto him shall the gathering of the people be.” (Emphasis mine)

Shiloh is also the name of a town, but its real meaning is peace, tranquility, harmony, (“Islam”, which means the same). It could never refer to a town here.

So, the Israelite prophethood in the lineage of Isaac would stop as soon as Shiloh came. This corresponds with Holy Qur’ân 2:133 (interpretation of the meaning):

“Were you witnesses when death came to Jacob? When he said to his sons: ‘What will you worship after me?’ They said: ‘We shall worship your God [Allah], the God of your fathers Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, One God and to Him we surrender [in Islam].”‘

The shift of prophethood to another nation was threatened in Jeremiah 31:36.

“‘If those ordinances depart from before me,’ saith the Lord, ‘then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.”‘ (Emphasis mine)

This was also hinted at by Jesus in Matthew 21:43

“Therefore, say I unto you: ‘The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits.'” (Emphasis mine)

Jeremiah

Jeremiah 28:9

“The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the Lord hath truly sent him.” (Emphasis mine)

The word “Islam” also signifies tranquility, harmony, and peace. This prophecy of Jeremiah cannot be applied to Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, as he himself stated that he didn’t come for peace: Luke 12:51-53.

“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you nay, but rather division, for from henceforth there will be five in one house divided, three against two and two against three. The father shall

be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” (Emphasis mine)

Also see Matthew 10:34-36.

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s foes will be those of his own household.” (Emphasis mine)

At the end of my analysis of Old Testaments, I cannot leave you without a ‘Sparkling’ verse from Deuteronomy, but before that, please, have a look at the speech of Thomas Carlyle, one of the greatest thinkers of the past century. It was Friday, the 8th of May 1840. His theme — “The Hero as Prophet” His audience: were Anglicans — English Christians.

“A POOR SHEPHERD PEOPLE, ROAMING UNNOTICED IN ITS DESERTS SINCE THE

CREATION OF THE WORLD: A HERO-PROPHET WAS SENT DOWN TO THEM WITH A WORD

THEY COULD BELIEVE: SEE, THE UNNOTICED BECOMES WORLD -NOTABLE,

THE SMALL HAS GROWN WORLD-GREAT; WITHIN ONE CENTURY AFTERWARDS, ARABIA IS AT GRENADA (Spain) ON THIS HAND, AT DELHI (India) ON THAT; – GLANCING IN

VALOUR AND SPLENDOUR AND THE LIGHT OF GENIUS, ARABIA SHINES THROUGH LONG

AGES OVER A GREAT SECTION OF THE WORLD. BELIEF IS GREAT, LIFE-GIVING.

THE HISTORY OF A NATION BECOMES FRUITFUL, SOUL ELEVATING, GREAT, SO SOON AS IT

BELIEVES. THESE ARABS, THE MAN MAHOMET, AND THAT ONE CENTURY, – IS IT NOT AS IF A SPARK HAD

FALLEN, ONE SPARK, ON A WORLD OF WHAT SEEMED BLACK UNNOTICEABLE SAND.

BUT LO, THE SAND PROVES EXPLOSIVE POWDER, BLAZES HEAVEN HIGH

FROM DELHI TO GRENADA! I SAID, THE GREAT MAN WAS ALWAYS AS LIGHTNING OUT OF

HEAVEN: THE REST OF MEN WAITED FOR HIM LIKE FUEL, AND THEN THEY TOO WOULD FLAME.” (E­mphasis mine)

Now, let us come to that ‘Sparkling’ verse of the Bible.

“They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they (the Jews) have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are Not A People; I will provoke them to anger with a Foolish Nation.” Deuteronomy 32:21 (Emphasis mine)

Alas how true!

Anyone with a modicum of Scriptural knowledge will be able to guess who in the eyes of these arrogant, racist Jews is “not a people” — a non-entity and “a foolish nation” if not the Ishmaelite cousins — the Arabs who in the words of Thomas Carlyle have been “ROAMING UNNOTICED IN ITS DESERT SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD.”!?

THE ARABS. Alexander the Great passed them by the Persians passed them by; the Egyptians passed them by; and the Romans; passed them by. It would have been an absolute liability for any nation to conquer and colonize them. But the Creator did not pass them by.

He picked them up from the depths of darkness and transformed them into torchbearers of light and learning to the world. “I will move them (the Jews) to Jealousy“. This jealousy is a cultivated sickness. Remember, Sarah and Hagar the two wives of Abraham – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them – the Friend of God. The jealousy of Sarah was bequeathed to her children and onto the nations and tribes yet unborn.

From the Old Testament, let us now come to the New Testament. 

Matthew

In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was quoted, in Matthew 5:9, as saying:

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” (Emphasis mine)

One of the meanings of the word “Islam” is peace. Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – could not mean that his mission was that of a peacemaker, as he stated clearly that he had not been sent for that purpose Matthew 10:34-36:  

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s foes will be those of his own household.” (Emphasis mine)

See also Luke 12:51-53.

“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you nay, but rather division, for from henceforth there will be five in one house divided, three against two and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father;

the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” (Emphasis mine)

Matthew 3:11

“I [John the Baptist] indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.”

If Jesus was alluded to here, John the Baptist would not have gone back to live in the desert again but would have clung to him and become one of his disciples, which he did not do.

Thus, John was alluding to another Powerful prophet here. The one coming after John the Baptist could not be Jesus, as both were contemporaries. Here again, was it not Prophet Muhammad who was being alluded to by John the Baptist – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –?  

John

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you Another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” John 14: 16 (Emphasis mine)

 A. “Paracletos” 

In this verse, there are three important points, i.e. “Another”, “Comforter” (Paracletos) and “Abide with you forever”. First, I am going to tackle with the 2^nd point i.e., “Comforter” (Paracletos).

Some Christians allege that:

“There is no prediction about Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – found in the Bible. Therefore, Muslims are left with no Biblical evidence that would validate the authority of their prophet. This problem leads to another difficulty that is just as serious. It is described in Quranic Surah= Chapter 4, Al Nisa, verse 82:  

‘Do they not consider the Qur’ân (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradiction.’

Since the Qur’ân says Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is foretold in the Bible but as this study clearly shows, he is not, we are faced with the fact that this is a contradiction!”

Following is an interesting research done by two learned Christians and a Jew of their time.

Dr. Maurice Bucaille

Dr. Maurice Bucaille, in his – bestselling book of its time – “The Bible, The Qur’ân and Science” throws light upon this word (Paracletos) and says:

Start quote — “John is the only evangelist to report the episode of the last dialogue with the Apostles. It takes place at the end of the Last Supper and before Jesus’ arrest. It ends in a very long speech: four chapters in John’s Gospel (14 to 17) are devoted to this narration which is not mentioned anywhere in the other Gospels. 

These chapters of John nevertheless deal with questions of prime importance and fundamental significance to the future outlook. They are set out with all the grandeur and solemnity that characterizes the farewell scene between the Master and His disciples.

This very touching farewell scene which contains Jesus’ spiritual testament, is entirely absent from Matthew, Mark and Luke. How can the absence of this description be explained? One might ask the following. Did the text initially exist in the first three Gospels? 

Was it subsequently suppressed? Why? 

It must be stated immediately that no answer can be found; the mystery surrounding this huge gap in the narrations of the first three evangelists remains as obscure as ever.

The dominating feature of this narration-seen in the crowning speech-is the view of man’s future that Jesus describes, His care in addressing His disciples, and through them the whole of humanity, His recommendations and commandments and His

concern to specify the guide whom man must follow after His departure. The text of John’s Gospel is the only one to designate him as Parakletos in Greek, which in English has become ‘Paraclete’.” — End quote. (Emphasis mine)

I personally suggest my readers to study this beautiful book by such a knowledgeable man, Dr. Maurice Bucaille. I further quote the research work done on this very word “Paracletos” by this knowledgeable man:  

Start quote — “On a cursory reading, the text which identifies the Greek word ‘Paraclete’ with the Holy Spirit is unlikely to attract much attention. This is especially true when the subtitles of the text are generally used for translations and the terminology commentators employ in works for mass publication direct the reader towards the meaning in these passages that an exemplary orthodoxy would like them to have.

Should one have the slightest dimculty in comprehension, there are many explanations available, such as those given by A. Tricot in his Little Dictionary of the New Testament (Petit Dictionnaire du Nouveau Testament) to enlighten one on this subject. In his entry on the Paraclete this commentator writes the following:

“This name or title translated from the Greek is only used in the New Testament by John: he uses it four times in his account of Jesus’ speech after the Last Supper [42] (14, 16 and 26; 15, 26; 16, 7) and once in his First Letter (2, 1).

In John’s Gospel the word is applied to the Holy Spirit; in the Letter it refers to Christ. ‘Paraclete’ was a term in current usage among the Hellenist Jews, first century A.D¹., meaning ‘intercessor‘, ‘defender‘ (. . .) Jesus predicts that the Spirit will be sent by the Father and Son.

Its mission will be to take the place of the Son in the role he played during his mortal life as a helper for the benefit of his disciples. The Spirit will intervene and act as a substitute for Christ, adopting the role of Paraclete or omnipotent intercessor.” (Emphasis mine)

1.  ‘A.D’ means “After Death of Christ”. Muslims unknowingly use many such impressions, which are against our faith. As a Muslim, we should avoid using such impressions. Instead, of using ‘A.D’, Muslims should use ‘A.C’ i.e. “After Christ’s Birth” or ‘C.E’ i.e., “Christian Era”.

This commentary therefore makes the Holy Spirit into the ultimate guide of man after Jesus’ departure. How does it square with John’s text?

It is a necessary question because a priori it seems strange to ascribe the last paragraph quoted above to the Holy Spirit: “for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” 

It seems inconceivable that one could ascribe to the Holy Spirit the ability to speak and declare whatever he hears . . . Logic demands that this question be raised, but to my knowledge, it is not usually the subject of commentaries.

To gain an exact idea of the problem, one has to go back to the basic Greek text. This is especially important because John is universally recognized to have written in Greek instead of another language. The Greek text consulted was the Novum Testamentum Graece [43]. 

Any serious textual criticism begins with a search for variations. Here it would seem that in all the known manuscripts of John’s Gospel, the only variation likely to change the meaning of the sentence is in passage 14, 26 of the famous Palimpsest versions written in Syriac. Here it is not the ‘Holy Spirit’ that is mentioned, but quite simply the ‘Spirit’.

Did the scribe merely miss out a word or, knowing full well that the text he was to copy claimed to make the Holy Spirit hear and speak, did he perhaps lack the audacity to write something that seemed absurd to him? Apart from this observation there is little need to labor the other variations, they are grammatical and do not change the general meaning. 

The important thing is that what has been demonstrated here with regard to the exact meaning of the verbs ‘to hear’ and ‘to speak’ should apply to all the other manuscripts of John’s Gospel, as is indeed the case.

The verb ‘to hear, in the translation is the Greek verb ‘akouô’ meaning to perceive sounds. It has, for example, given us the word ‘acoustics’, the science of sounds.

The verb ‘to speak’ in the translation is the Greek verb ‘laleô’ which has the general meaning of ‘to emit sounds’ and the specific meaning of ‘to speak’. This verb occurs very frequently in the Greek text of the Gospels. It designates a solemn declaration made by Jesus during His preachings.

It therefore becomes clear that the communication to man, which He here proclaims, does not in any way consist of a statement inspired by the agency of the Holy Spirit. It has a very obvious material character moreover, which comes from the idea of the emission of sounds conveyed by the Greek word that defines it.

The two Greek verbs ‘akouô’ and ‘laleô’ therefore define concrete actions, which can only be applied to a being with hearing and speech organs. It is consequently impossible to apply them to the Holy Spirit.

For this reason, the text of this passage from John’s Gospel, as handed down to us in Greek manuscripts, is

quite incomprehensible if one takes it as a whole, including the words ‘Holy Spirit‘ in passage 14, 26. “But the

Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name” etc. It is the only passage in John’s Gospel that identifies the Paraclete with the Holy Spirit.

If the words ‘Holy Spirit’ (to pneuma to agion) are omitted from the passage, the complete text of John then conveys a meaning which is perfectly clear. It is confirmed moreover, by another text by the same evangelist, the First Letter, where John uses the same word ‘Paraclete’ simply to mean Jesus, the intercessor at God’s side. According to John, when Jesus says (14, 16):

“And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete”, what He is saying is that ‘another‘ intercessor will be sent to man, as He Himself was at God’s side on man’s behalf during His earthly life.

According to the rules of logic therefore, one is brought to see in John’s Paraclete a human being like

Jesus, possessing the faculties of hearing and speech formally implied in John’s Greek text. Jesus therefore

predicts that God will later send a human being to Earth to take up the role defined by John, i.e. to be a prophet

who hears God’s word and repeats his message to man. This is the logical interpretation of John’s texts arrived

at if one attributes to the words their proper meaning.

The presence of the term ‘Holy Spirit‘ in today’s text could easily have come from a later addition made quite

deliberately. It may have been intended to change the original meaning which predicted the advent of a

prophet subsequent to Jesus and was therefore in contradiction with the teachings of the Christian churches at

 the time of their formation; these teachings maintained that Jesus was the last of the prophets.” — 

End quote. (Emphasis mine)

Reverend David Benjamin

Now, let me introduce you to another very knowledgeable person “Professor David Benjamin Keldani”, a Bishop of his time from among the Christendom.

 Rev. David Benjamin Keldani, a Roman Catholic priest of the Uniate-Chaldean sect. He was born in 1867 at Urmia in Persia; educated from his early infancy in that town. From 1886-89 he was on the teaching staff of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Mission to the Assyrian (Nestorian) Christians at Urmia.

In 1892 he was sent by Cardinal Vaughan to Rome, where he underwent a course of philosophical and theological studies at the Propaganda Fide College, and in 1895 was ordained Priest. In 1892 Professor

 David Benjamin Keldani contributed a series of articles to The Tablet on “Assyria, Rome and Canterbury”; and also, to the Irish Record on the “Authenticity of the Pentateuch.”

He has several translations of the Ave Maria in different languages, published in the illustrated Catholic Missions. While in Constantinople on his way to Persia in 1895, he contributed a long series of articles in English and French to the daily paper, published there under the name of The Levant Herald, on “Eastern Churches.”

In 1895 he joined the French Lazarist Mission at Urmia, and published for the first time in the history of that Mission a periodical in the vernacular Syriac called Qala-La-Shara, i.e. “The Voice of Truth.”

In 1897 he was delegated by two Uniate-Chaldean Arch- bishops of Urmia and of Salmas to represent the Eastern Catholics at the Eucharistic Congress held at Paray-le-Monial in France under the presidency of Cardinal Perraud. This was, of course, an official invitation.

The paper read at the Congress by “Father Benjamin” was published in the Annals of the Eucharistic Congress, called “Le Pellerin” of that year. In this paper, the Chaldean Arch-Priest (that being his official title) deplored the Catholic system of education among the Nestorians.

This was a little glance upon the biography of this person. Now, let us come back to our point i.e. “Comforter”.

How about, if, I allow Mr. Rev. David Benjamin Keldani to say something about this word “Comforter” (Paracletos).

After a long research over this word, this is what, he had to say:

Star quote — “Before discussing the etymology and the true signification of this un-classical or rather

corrupt form of the Paraclete it is necessary to make a brief observation upon one particular feature of St.

John’s Gospel. The authorship and authenticity of this Gospel are questions which concern the Higher

Biblical Criticism: but it is impossible to believe that the Apostle could have written this book as we have it in its present shape and contents.

The author, whether Yohannan (John) the son of Zebedee, or someone else under that name, seems to be familiar with the doctrine of the celebrated Jewish scholar and philosopher Philon concerning the Logos (Word).” — End quote. (Emphasis mine)

Concerning the word “Comforter” (Paracletos) he says:

Start quote — “In truth, it is not a classical word at all. The Greek orthography of the word is

Paraklytos which in ecclesiastical literature is made to mean “one called to aid, advocate, intercessor” (Dict.

Grec.-Francais, by Alexandre). One need not profess to be a Greek scholar to know that the Greek word for

“Comforter or consoler” is not “Paraclytos” but “Paracalon”.

I have no Greek version of the Septuagint with me, but I remember perfectly well that the Hebrew word for

“comforter” (“mnahem”) in the Lamentations of Jeremiah (i. 2, 9, 16, 17, 21, etc.) is translated into

Parakaloon, from the verb Parakaloo, which means to call to, invite, exhort, console, pray, invoke. It should

be noticed that there is a long alpha vowel after the consonant kappa in the “Paracalon” which does not exist.

in the “Paraclytos.” In the phrase (He who consoles us in all our afflictions”) “paracalon” and not

“paraclytos” is used. (“I exhort, or invite, thee to work”). Many other examples can be cited here.

There is another Greek word for comforter and consoler, i.e. “Parygorytys” from “I console.”

As to the other meaning of “intercessor or advocate” which is given in the ecclesiastical word “Paraclete,” I again insist that “Paracalon” and not “Paraclytos” can convey in itself a similar sense. The proper Greek term for “advocate” is Sunegorus and for “intercessor” or “mediator” Meditea.

I wish to correct an error into which the French savant Ernest Renan has also fallen. If I recollect well, Monsieur Renan, in his famous The Life of Christ, interprets the “Paraclete” of St John (xiv. 16, 26; xv. 7; 1 John ii. 1) as an “advocate.” He cites the Syro-Chaldean form “Peraklit” as opposed to “Ktighra” “the accuser” from Kategorus.

The Syrian name for mediator or intercessor is “mis’aaya,” but in law courts the “Snighra” (from the Greek Sunegorus) is used for an advocate.

Many Syrians unfamiliar with the Greek language consider the “Paraqlita” to be really the Aramaic or the Syriac form of the “Paraclete” in the Pshittha Version and to be composed of “Paraq,” “to save from, to deliver from,” and “lita” “the accursed.” The idea that Christ is the “Savior from the curse of the law,” and therefore he is himself too

“Paraqlita” (1 John ii. 1), may have led some to think that the Greek word is originally an Aramaic word, just as the Greek sentence “Maran atha” in Aramaic is “Maran Athi,” i.e. “our Lord is coming” (1 John xvi. 22), which seems to be an expression among the believers regarding the coming of the Last Great Prophet.

This ‘Maran Athi,” as well as, especially, the baptismal formula, contains points too important to be neglected. They both deserve a special study and a valuable exposition. They both embody in themselves marks and indications otherwise than favorable to Christianity.

I think I have sufficiently proved that the “Paraclytos,” from a linguistic and etymological point of view, does

not mean “advocate, consoler, or comforter.” For centuries the ignorant Latins and Europeans have been

 writing the name of Prophet Muhammad “Mahomet,” that of Mushi “Moses.”

 Is it, therefore, small wonder that some sturdy Christian monk or scribe should have written the true name in the corrupted form of Paraklytos? The former (Paraclytos) means the “most Illustrious, Praiseworthy,”

 but the corrupted form (Paraclete) means nothing at all except a standing shame to those who have for

eighteen centuries understood it to signify an advocate or a consoler.” — End quote. (Emphasis mine)

He further says:

Start quote — Periqlytos etymologically and literally means “the most illustrious, renowned, and praiseworthy.” I take for my authority Alexandre’s Dictionnaire Grec-Francais=Periqlytos, “Qu’on peut entendre de tous les cotes; qu’il est facile a entendre. Tres celebre,” etc. “= Periqleitos, tres celebre, illustre, glorieux; = Periqleys, tres celebre, illustre, glorieux,” from = Kleos, glorire, renommee, celebrite.” 

This compound noun is composed of the prefix “peri,” and “kleotis,” the latter derived from “to glorify, praise.” 

The noun, which I write in English characters Periqleitos or Periqlytos, means precisely what AHMAD means in Arabic, namely the most illustrious, glorious, and renowned.

The Syriac Pshittha, while writing “Paraqleita,” does not even in a glossary give its meaning. But the Vulgate translates it into “consolator” or “consoler.” If I am not mistaken the Aramaic form must have been “Mhamda” or “Hamida”‘ to correspond with the Arabic “Muhammad” or “Ahmad”. — End quote. (Emphasis mine)

Leopold Weiss

Leopold Weiss was born in July 1900 in the city of Lvov (German Lemberg), now in Poland, then part of the Austrian Empire.  He was the descendant of a long line of rabbis, a line broken by his father, who became a barrister. Leopold Weiss himself received a thorough religious education that would qualify him to keep alive the family’s rabbinical tradition. 

He had become proficient in Hebrew at an early age and was also familiar with Aramaic. He had studied the Old Testament in the original as well as the text and commentaries of the Talmud, the Mishna and Gemara, and he had delved into the intricacies of Biblical exegesis, the Targum.

Commenting on the verse of the Holy Qur’ân:

“…a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad” Holy Qur’ân 61:6

…where Jesus predicts the coming of Muhammad, Leopold Weiss explains that the word Parakletos:

“…is almost certainly a corruption of Periklytos (‘the Much-Praised’), an exact Greek translation of the Aramaic term or name Mawhamana. (It is to be borne in mind that Aramaic was the language used in Palestine at the time of, and for some centuries after, Jesus and was thus undoubtedly the language in which the original – now lost – texts of the Gospels were composed). 

In view of the phonetic closeness of Periklytos and Parakletos it is easy to understand how the translator – or,

more probably, a later scribe – confused these two expressions. It is significant that both the Aramaic

Mawhamana and the Greek Periklytos have the same meaning as the two names of the Last Prophet,

 Muhammad and Ahmad, both of which are derived from the Hebrew verb hamida (‘he praised’) and the

Hebrew noun hamd (‘praise’).” Leopold Weiss “The Message of The Qur’ân” (Gibraltar: Dar Al-Andalus, 1984), p. 10-11 (Emphasis mine)

What does it mean?!

It means that both, Rev. David Benjamin (a learned Christian of high authority) and Leopold Weiss (a Jewish scholar) of their time are confirming that the correct word of Bible is “PERIQLYTOS” (in Greek), which means “AHMAD” and “MUHAMMAD” (in Arabic), which is mentioned in the Holy Qur’ân.

So, Christians should now clearly know, that verse 4:82 of the Holy Qur’ân is up to the standard(interpretation of the meaning):  

‘Do they not consider the Qur’ân (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradiction.’ Holy Qur’ân 4:82 

and there is no contradiction in the Holy Qur’ân and Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is predicted in the Bible.

Finally, I quote the following statement:

“…Christian tradition has identified this figure (Paraclete) as the Holy Spirit, but scholars like Spitta, Delafosse, Windisch, Sasse, Bultmann, and Betz have doubted whether this identification is true to the original picture and have suggested that the Paraclete was once an independent salvific figure, later confused with the Holy Spirit.”

B. Abide with You Forever

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you Another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” John 14: 16 (Emphasis mine)

Some Christians may allege, that our Comforter was to “ABIDE” continue, endure forever, and we know that Muhammad did not abide with us forever because, he also died. Therefore, he is not the Comforter.

The simple question to this claim is “Did the first comforter i.e., Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – abide forever?” No! is the answer. He died on the Cross.

You see, all Comforters abide with us forever. Moses is here with us today in his teachings. Jesus is here with us today in his teachings and Muhammad also is here with us in his teachings today. – Peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –. This is not any novel idea trying to justify the preposterous. This is with conviction and on the authority of Jesus Christ – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – himself.

In Luke, chapter sixteen, Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – tells us the story of the “Rich Man, Poor Man.” At death both find themselves at opposite ends — one in Heaven and the other in Hell. The rich man (Dives) simmering in Hell cries to Father Abraham – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – to send the beggar (Lazarus) to assuage his thirst.

But when every plea fails, he, as a last favor, requests that Father Abraham – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – send the beggar back to earth to warn his living brothers against their impending doom if they heeded not the warnings of God.

“But Abraham said, “If they (those still alive on earth) will not listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even though someone rises from the dead.” Luke 16: 31

Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – uttered the above fact centuries after the demise of the Prophets of Israel like Jeremiah, Hosea, Zechariah, etc and over thirteen hundred years after Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –

The Pharisees at the time of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – and we today can still listen to “MOSES AND THE PROPHETS,” for they are still alive, and with us here today in their teachings.

Besides this, there is another very important point, in the same verse, which clearly clarifies the concept that “Holy Spirit” is not the Comforter. It is discussed below.

C. Another

Now, for another very important point mentioned, i.e., the word “Another” mentioned in the verse:

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you Another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” John 14: 16 (Emphasis mine)

If we take and analyze John 16:7, along with the above verse, we are going to have a better result of our research. Now, we have these two verses:

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you Another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” John 14: 16 (Emphasis mine)

And

“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” John 16:7 (Emphasis mine)

In John 14:16, a word ‘Another’ is used which means an additional, a new, an extra, etc. The Christians claim that this ‘Another’ is no one else other than ‘Holy Spirit’. The Christians clearly ignore John 16:7, because, if they keep this verse under their one eye, and then read John 14:16 with 2^nd eye, they are going to feel a very clear difference.

The microscopical study of John 16:7 reflects that this verse is making the coming of ‘Holy Spirit’ as CONDITIONAL i.e., “for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you”.

You can see all the ‘ifs’ “if I go not away”, “Comforter will not come unto you”, “if I depart, I will send”. So, the ‘Coming of the Comforter’ is CONDITIONAL upon the ‘Departing of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –’.

The TWO most important points in these two verses (John 14:16 & John 16:7) made by Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – are: –

1. This coming one is ‘Another’ one, which means an additional, a new, an extra, etc.

2. His coming is ‘Conditional to the Departure of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –’.

Now, if another Comforter is to come, who is then the first Comforter? The Christendom is unanimous that in this case the speaker himself — Jesus Christ – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is the first Comforter.

Ask any learned Christian man as to Who the second Comforter is? You will unmistakably hear – “The Comforter is the HOLY SPIRIT!”

Crystal Clear

Let us examine the claim of the Christendom of being ‘Holy Spirit’ as the second Comforter.

“lf I don’t go he won’t come, but if I go, I will send him.” There are numerous instances in the Holy Bible about the coming and going of the HOLY SPIRIT, before the birth and departure of the Messiah. Do yourself a favor, please verify these references in your Bible –

B.C. BEFORE CHRIST’S BIRTH:

1. “… and he (John the Baptist) shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.” Luke 1:15(Emphasis mine)

2. “… and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Luke 1: 41 (Emphasis mine)

3. “And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Luke 1:67 (Emphasis mine)

A.C. AFTER CHRIST’S BIRTH:

4. “… and the Holy Spirit was upon him (Simeon).” Luke 2:26 (Emphasis mine)

5. “And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him (Jesus).” Luke 3:22(Emphasis mine)

The Holy Spirit is already with them, so it means; that Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was not actually talking about ‘THIS’ Holy Spirit.

Some Christians as one of the writers in his article on the link http://www../Morin/removed.html says:

Start quote — “Furthermore, this “paracletos” which Jesus promised would come to his disciples from the Father did indeed come during the lifetime of his disciples. Muhammad came long after the deaths of Jesus’ disciples — over five hundred years!” — End quote. (Emphasis mine)

If it is said that the Comforter was promised to the immediate disciples of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – and not to a people six hundred years later:

“And he (God) shall give You another Comforter, that he may abide with You forever.” John 14:16 (Emphasis mine)

Surprisingly, the Christian sees no difficulty in justifying the fulfillment of prophecies “since the world began,” (Acts 3:21) and after over a millenniumwhen Peter in his second sermon to the Jews, reminds them:

“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord Your God raise up unto You of Your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things what-so ever he shall say unto You.” Acts 3: 22 (Emphasis mine)

All these “YE, YOU and YOURS” are from the Book of Deuteronomy, chapter 18, when Moses – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – addressed his people and NOT the Jews at the time of Peter, thirteen hundred years later. The Gospel writers have put the same compromising words in the mouth of their Master which are begging for fulfillment for two thousand years. I think just one example will suffice:

“But when they persecute You in this city, flee Ye into another: for verily (most assuredly) I (Jesus) say unto You, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel till the son of man (Jesus) be come.” Matthew 10: 25 (Emphasis mine)

 Secondly, this claim made by the Christians is not up to the status, because according to the Bible, Disciples were already having the Holy Spirit.

“…as my Father hath sent me, even so I send you (the disciples of Jesus), And when he had said this, be breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive Ye the Holy Spirit.” John 20:21 –22(Emphasis mine)

The disciples receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. So, if the “Holy Spirit” was with (1) John the Baptist, (2) Elizabeth. (3) Zacharias. (4) Simeon. (5) Jesus and (6) the Disciples of Jesus; then all this makes nonsense of the saying that “Another Comforter” and “if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you.” Therefore, the Comforter is not the Holy Spirit.

You see, so simple it is to find the reality. You just have to use a common sense and there you are with the SOLUTION.

D.”Holy Spirit” is Holy Prophet

“But the Comforter, which is The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26(Emphasis mine)

You do not have to be a Bible scholar of any caliber to sense that the expression “which is the Holy Spirit” is actually an interpolation. It ought to be in parenthesis, in brackets, like my words which have been interpolated in the quotation, i.e., “(Emphasis mine).”

Although the editors of the RSV have expunged dozens of interpolations from their boasted Revised Standard Version, they have retained this jarring phrase, which contradicts other explicit predictions of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – on the subject of the Comforter itself.

The same John, who is supposed to have authored the Gospel bearing his name, also penned three more Epistles, which are also part of the Christian Bible. Amazingly he has used the same terminology of “Holy Spirit” for “Holy Prophet.”

“Beloved, believe not every Spirit,but try the Spirits whether they are of God; because many false Prophets are gone out into the World.”  1 John 4:1 (Emphasis mine)

You can observe that the word spirit is used here synonymously with a prophet. A true spirit is a true prophet, and a false spirit is a false prophet but for the so-called “born-again” Christians who see only with eyes of emotion, I recommend that they lay their hands on C.I. Scofield’s Authorized King James Version of the Bible who with an Editorial Committee of 9 D.D.’s adding their notes and comments.

When they come to the First word “spirit” in the above verse they should give a notation to compare it with Matthew 7: 15 which confirms that false prophets are false spirits. So according to St. John the Holy Spirit is the Holy Prophet.

E. “Testifying Jesus”

So far, we have proved and proved Biblically, that.

1.  Coming ONE mentioned in John 14:16 is other than the so called ‘Holy Spirit’.

2. “Holy Spirit” is “Holy Prophet”.

3. His coming is Conditional to the Departure of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him.

The question is that what will this Comforter do after coming.

“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall Testify of Me.” John 15:26 (Emphasis mine)

“He (the Spirit of truth) shall Glorify Me (Jesus): for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:14 (Emphasis mine)

In another place St. John does not leave us in the air, guessing the true from the false. He gives us an acid test for recognizing the true Prophet, he says —

“Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every Spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.” 1 John 4:2 (Emphasis mine)

So, this coming Comforter will confirm and glorify Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –. According to John’s own interpretation in verse one above, the word “spirit” is synonymous with the word prophet So verse two “Spirit of God” would mean Prophet of God and “Every spirit” would stand for every Prophet.

You have a right to know as to what the Holy Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – says about “Jesus Christ – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.”

Jesus Christ – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is spoken by name no less than 25 times in the Holy Qur’ân. He is honored as —

Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, the son of Mary)

An-Nabi  (The Prophet)             

As-saaliheen (The Righteous)

Kalimatu’Llah  (Word of God)

Ruhu-Llah  (Spirit of God)

Masih-uLlah  (Christ of God)

Behold the angels said: “O Mary! God giveth thee Glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held In honor in this world and The Hereafter and of (the Company of) those nearest to God. Holy Qur’ân 3:45 (interpretation of the meaning)

You might not know that the Muslim does not take the holy name of Jesus, in his own language, without saying Eesa, alaihi assalam i.e. “Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –”

In the Holy Qur’ân Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is mentioned twenty-five times. For example (interpretations of the meaning):

“We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit” (The Holy Qur’ân 2:87)

“O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary…” (3:45)

“The similitude of Jesus before Allah is that of Adam: he created him from dust, then said to him, “Be”: and he was.” (3:59)

“…Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of god…” (4:171)

“…And in their footsteps, we sent Jesus the son of Mary…” (5:46)

“Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger: many were the messengers that passed away before him …” (5:75)

“And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous.” (6:85)

“He was no more than a servant: we granted our favor to him, and we made him an example to the children of Israel.” (43:59)

He is spoken of as “The Word of God”, as “The Spirit of God”, as a “Sign of God”, and numerous other epithets of honor spread over fifteen different chapters. The Holy Qur’ân honors this mighty messenger of God, and the Muslims have not fallen short over the past fourteen hundred years in doing the same.

Every Christian knows about the verdict of Jews about Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

1.  In Talmud he is said as: 

“Tol’doth Yeshu.” JESUS IS REFERRED TO AS ‘BEN PANDERA’ (“BEN PANDERA”): Means – son of Pandera. A Roman soldier alleged by the Jews to have raped Mary – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon her – to produce her illegitimate offspring. (Allah forbid!) May He forgive us for even reproducing such blasphemies.’

2.   “R. SHIMEON BEN AZZAI SAID (CONCERNING JESUS): ‘I FOUND A GENEALOGICAL ROLL IN JERUSALEM WHEREIN WAS RECORDED, SUCH-AN-ONE IS A BASTARD OF AN ADULTERESS.’”

3.   R. YEHOSHUA writes in the book “Mishnah.”

“WHAT IS A BASTARD? EVERYONE WHOSE PARENTS ARE LIABLE TO DEATH BY THE BETH DIN”

Regarding above statement Joseph Klausner says, “THAT JESUS IS HERE REFERRED TO SEEMS TO BE BEYOND DOUBT”

Now, just wait and think that Billions of Muslims today respect this mighty Messenger of Allah on the verdict of just one man. I repeat just one man, and that is Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

We as being Muslims believe upon miracles of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, such as he was born miraculously by Allah’s permission, he gave life to the death by Allah’s permission, he healed those born blind by Allah’s permission, and many more, on verdict of this mighty man Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –. Can you imagine? Muslims believe, what modern day learned Christians do not believe. See for yourself.

1. In a “SHOCK SURVEY OF ANGLICAN BISHOPS” in June 1984 it was revealed that 31 of their 39 Bishops thought:

 “Christ’s miracles, the virgin birth and the resurrection might not have happened exactly as described in the Bible.”

Not ordinary people, or some layman, barber, shoemaker but the ‘BISHOPS’.

2.  The Church of Scotland most respectfully omitted any reference to the “Virgin Birth” from its most recent publication “A STATEMENT OF FAITH.”

Again, no common man or illiterate people but the ‘CHURCH’

It is we, Muslims, who, on the verdict of Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – have firm believe upon the miracles of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, which modern day learned Christians doubt upon.

Famous Rev. Dummelow, backed by no less than a team of sixteen Christian’s divines, all Reverends and D.D.s says the following:

“THE JEWISH TALMUD1STS SAID, ‘THE SON OF THE ADULTERESS‘ (I.E. OF THE VIRGIN MARY) BROUGHT MAGIC OUT OF EGYPT. BY CUTTINGS WHICH HE HAD MADE IN HIS FLESH.’ ‘JESUS PRACTICED MAGIC AND DECEIVED.

AND DROVE ISRAEL TO IDOLATORY.’ IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTICE THAT MAHOMET ¹ INDIGNANTLY REPUDIATED THESE JEWISH CALUMNIES.” 

Dummelow’s Bible Commentary page 668 (Emphasis mine)

1. “Mahomet”: It is a pity that scholars of Christianity of the highest eminence still misspell the name of the Holy Prophet.

Believe it or Not! 

So, Muhammad testifies and glorifies Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –.

“But when the Comforter is come, … which proceedeth from the Father, he shall Testify of Me.” John 15:26 (Emphasis mine)

Therefore Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is a Prophet from God.

“Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every Spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.” 1 John 4: 2 (Emphasis mine)

F.  Misunderstanding

“I have yet Many Things to say unto you, but Ye Cannot Bear Them Now.” John 16: 12 (Emphasis mine)

We will later tie up the phrase “many things” from the above verse with “guide you into all truth” from the verse that follows, when discussing it. For now, let us discuss the phrase — “YE CANNOT BEAR THEM NOW”

The truth of this statement “ye cannot bear them now” is repeated monotonously throughout the pages of the New Testament:

“And he (Jesus) saith unto them (the disciples). Why are ye fearful, O Ye of Little Faith?” Matthew 8. 26 (Emphasis mine)

“AND (JESUS) said unto him (Peter) O Thou of Little Faith…” Matthew 14:31 (Emphasis mine)

“… he (Jesus) said unto them (the disciples), O Ye of Little Faith, why reason among yourselves …”  Matthew 16:8(Emphasis mine)

“And he (Jesus) said unto them (his disciples). Where Is Your Faith?”  Luke 8: 25 (Emphasis mine)

We must bear in mind that this is not the indictment of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – on the indecisiveness of the Jews, but on his very own elect. He stoops down to the level of little children to make things plain to his disciples, but he is compelled to burst out in frustration.

“And Jesus said, Are Ye Even Yet Without Understanding?” Matthew 15:16 (Emphasis mine)

And when he was provoked to breaking point, he rails against his chosen ones —

“O Faithless and Perverse Generation, how long shall I be with you, how long shall I bear with you?” Luke 9: 41 (Emphasis mine)

Own Family Thought him Mad.

His family disbelieved him for neither did his (] Jesus’) brethren believe in him (John 7: 5). In fact, they went to the extent of wanting to apprehend him, believing that he was mad. (Allah forbid for such an accusation upon a Prophet)

“And when his relatives heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him (Jesus); for they said, he is beside himself.” Mark 3:21 (Emphasis mine)

Who were these friends and relatives of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – which had concern for his sanity? Let Rev. J.R. Dummelow. M.A. in his One Volume Bible Commentary tell us. On page 726 he says —

“FROM V.31” (just 10 verses following the above quotation)

“THEY APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN HIS MOTHER AND BRETHREN… HIS FAMILY SAID ‘HE IS BESIDE HIMSELF,’” (meaning that he is not right in his head);

“THE SCRIBES SAID, ‘HE IS POSSESSED BY THE DEVIL HIMSELF.’ IT IS NOT, HOW EVER, IMPLIED AT ALL THAT HIS FAMILY WAS IN SYMPATHY WITH THE SCRIBES” (the learned men of the Jews).

“THEIR APPREHENSION BEING SIMPLY THAT HIS MIND WAS UNSETTLED. AND THAT HE NEEDED TO BE PUT UNDER RESTRAINT.” (Emphasis mine)

JESUS – Rejected by His Own Nation

That was the verdict of the close relations of Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –. What then was the response of his own nation, the Jews, after all his beautiful preaching and mighty miracle workings? His disciple puts it very mildly:

“He came unto his own (the Jews) and his own received him (Jesus) not.” John 1:11

Actually “his own” mocked him. Scorned him and vehemently rejected him. To the extent of making an attempt to crucify him.

Disciples Deserted Him

What was the response of the chosen twelve; of his own “mother and bretheren!” (Mark 3: 34), as he called them? I will allow Professor Momerie to describe it in his own inimitable words—

“HIS IMMEDIATE DISCIPLES, WERE ALWAYS MISUNDERSTANDING HIM AND HIS WORK: WANTING HIM TO CALL DOWN FIRE FROM HEAVEN; WANTING HIM TO DECLARE HIMSELF KING OF THE JEWS. 

WANTING TO SIT ON HIS RIGHT HAND AND ON HIS LEFT HAND IN HIS KINGDOM; WANTING HIM TO SHOW THEM THE FATHER.

TO MAKE GOD VISIBLE TO THEIR BODILY EYES; WANTING HIM TO DO. AND WANTING TO DO THEMSELVES. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS INCOMPATIBLE WITH HIS GREAT PLAN. 

THIS WAS HOW THEY TREATED HIM UNTIL THE END. (and) WHEN THAT CAME. THEY ALL FORSOOK HIM. AND FLED.”

G. More Than One

“I have yet MANY things to say unto you” from verse twelve, with “he will guide you into ALL truth.” From John 16: 12 and 13 (Emphasis mine)

The Holy Qur’ân says of Muhammad– peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – (interpretation of the meaning):

“O mankind!  The Messenger has now come unto you with the truth from your Lord: believe, then, for your own good!” Holy Qur’ân 4:170

If the Christian still persists that the Spirit of Truth of this prophecy is the Holy Ghost, then ask him or her whether in their language does “MANY” means more than one? Also, if “ALL” in the above verse means more than one? If you get a halting, wavering, hesitant “y-e-s” then stop; it is not worth pursuing dialogues with opinionated. But if you get the answer “yes!” with alacrity then proceed…

The one prophesied by Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was to unravel many things which he had left unsaid, as well as to guide humanity into all truth. There are many problems facing mankind today, for which we are fumbling for answers.

Can you please give me one new thing that the alleged Holy Ghost gave to anybody in the past two thousand years, which Jesus Christ had not already given in so many different words?

I do not want many, I am looking for just one!

At least, I have not come across a single Christian with a single “new Truth” inspired by the Holy Ghost, yet the promise was that the coming Comforter -“he will guide you into all truth!” If the Spirit of Truth of this prophecy is the Holy Ghost, then every Church and denomination, and every ‘born-again’ Christian is claiming the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The Roman Catholics claim that they have the whole Truth because of the so-called “in-dwelling” of the Holy Ghost. The Anglicans make the same claim, and the Methodists, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Seventh Day Adventists, the Baptists, the Christadelphians, etc. etc.

H. Nix Own Will

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth! For He Shall Not Speak from Himself But Whatsoever He Shall Hear, That Shall He Speak.” John 16:13(Emphasis mine)

Previously, I proved this important point “For He Shall Not Speak from Himself But Whatsoever He Shall Hear, That Shall He Speak.” under the heading “2^nd Acid Test” by dealing with the verse’…….and I WILL PUT MY WORDS INTO HIS MOUTH …….’ Deuteronomy 18:18. Now, I am going to tackle it from another angle.

Probability

Personally, I like ‘Probability’. The theory of ‘Probability’ is that suppose there are two options and out of those two options one is right, and one is wrong. The chances that if you make a wild guess, you will get the correct answer, it will be one out of two.

It is 50%. For example, if I toss a coin, the chance that I will get a correct answer is one out of two. i.e. 50%. If I toss a coin, the second time the chance of correct answer is one out of two it is 50%.

But the chances that I will be correct in both the tosses first and second will be one out of two into one out of two that is one fourth or 50 percent of 50 percent, that is 25 percent.

If, I throw a dice. The dice has six sides. The chance if I make a wild guess, I will be right is one out of six. Collectively, the chance I will be correct all three times, the first toss, the second toss and the third throw of the dice, is 1 out of 2 into 1 out of 2 into 1 out of 6. It will be 1 upon 24. Let us apply this theory on ‘Probability’ to the Holy Qur’ân.   

Suppose, if, we agree for the sake of argument that, Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – gets all the matter that is mentioned in the Holy Qur’ân. Let us put the theory of ‘Probability’ to the Holy Qur’ân. The Holy Qur’ân says that the world is spherical. What different shapes can a person think of the earth?

Some may think it is flat, some may say it is triangular, some may say it is quadrangular, some may say it has 5 sides, pentagonal, some may say hexagonal, some may say heptagonal, some may say octagonal, some may say spherical.

Let us say assume that you can think of about 30 different shapes of the Earth. The chances of correction about his wild guess are 1 upon 30. Similarly, the light of the moon; It can be own light, or it can be reflected light. The chances that anyone makes a wild guess, he will be right are 1 upon 2.

But the chances that both his guesses that the earth is spherical, and the light of the moon is reflected, both are correct is 1 upon 30 into 1 upon 2 that is 1 upon 60. In the desert of Arabia, what can a person think that a human being can be made of, that the living creature be made of?

A person in the desert may think, it is made of sand, maybe it is made of wood, maybe it is made of aluminum, of iron, of copper, of oil, of water, of hydrogen, of oxygen, you can make at least 10 thousand guesses and the last that anyone will guess in the deserts of Arabia is water.

But, the Holy Qur’ân says that every living being is made of water. In Soorah Al-Ambiya, Chapter No. 21, Verse No. 30, it says in Soorah-an-Noor, Chapter No. 24, Verse No 45, (interpretation of the meaning):

‘Every animal is made up of water.’

And Quranic chapter Furqaan No. 25, Verse No. 54, (interpretation of the meaning):

‘Every human being is made of water.’

If you make a wild guess, the chances that you will be right is 1 upon 10 thousand. The chances that anyone will make 3 guesses and all 3 will be right, that the earth is spherical, that the light of the moon is reflected light, and every living being is made of water will be 1 upon 30 into 1 upon 2 into 1 upon 10 thousand which is 1 upon 60 thousand. It works out to be .00017 %.

The Holy Qur’ân mentions hundreds of facts, which were unknown at that time. If anyone made a guess, the chances that all the hundred would be right, it will be somewhere very close to zero and in the theory of probability, it will be zero. I leave it unto you, the dear reader to decide for yourselves.

The only reason, why the Holy Qur’ân is 100% correct in its claim about various things is that Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – told, what the ‘Creator’ told him to tell.

“For He Shall Not Speak from Himself but Whatsoever He Shall Hear, That Shall He Speak.” John 16:13(Emphasis mine) 

I. How to Know?

“Beloved, believe not every Spirit,but try the Spirits whether they are of God; because many false Prophets are gone out into the World.” 1 John 4: 1 (Emphasis mine)

It is another Acid Test for the confirmation of the coming Prophet. Another Gospel writer solves our problem and gives us the lab to perform this Acid Test.

“You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, you will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16:20 (Emphasis mine)

I think that verdict of Learned non-Muslims about this mighty person will be enough to know ‘His Fruits (Teachings)’

All of these non-Muslim verdicts are just a glass out of full jug. Every one of these non-Muslim glorifies the ‘Fruits’ (Teachings) of this man, Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

Thus, another very, very important point is made in the same verse:  

“So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.” Matthew 7:17-18 (Emphasis mine)

A SOUND TREE cannot bear EVIL FRUITS; it can ONLY bear GOOD FRUITS. It is giving you a clear indication that, Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was a ‘SOUND TREE’, because his ‘FRUITS’ (TEACHINGS) were of such a towering standard, of such a superb quality that even these non-Muslims like George Bernard Shaw wants Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – to be given the

DICTATORSHIP OF THE MODERN WORLD 

Knowing for well, that this world is multi-religious. People from different religions live in this world, yet Bernard Shaw says

HE (Muhammad) WOULD SUCCEED IN SOLVING ITS PROBLEMS THAT WOULD BRING IT THE MUCH-NEEDED PEACE AND HAPPINESS.

Again, Bernard Shaw calls Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – as

SAVIOR OF HUMANITY

JULES MASSERMAN, United States psychoanalyst and professor at the Chicago University said “Leaders must fulfill three functions–“

No. 3   THAT THIS LEADER MUST PROVIDE HIS PEOPLE WITH ONE SET OF BELIEFS

With the foregoing three standards, Masserman searches history and analyses Louis Pasteur, Salk, Gandhi, Confucius, Alexander the Great, Caesar, Hitler, Buddha, Jesus and the rest;finally coming to the conclusion – PERHAPS THE GREATEST LEADER OF ALL TIMES WAS MUHAMMED, WHO COMBINED ALL THREE FUNCTIONS. (and) TO A LESSER DEGREE, MOSES DID THE SAME.

The question is why would Masserman, as an American Jew, a paid servant of the Government proclaim to his countrymen of over four hundred million Jews and Christians that not Jesus, not Moses but Muhammad was “The greatest Leader of all times!”

Only because of the FRUITS of Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – Jules Masserman considers him as “The greatest Leader of all times!”

Again, because of the FRUITS of this SOUND TREE – Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – Mr. Lamartine in “Historie de la Turquie”, Paris 1854, Vol. II pp.276-277 says.

AS REGARDS ALL STANDARDS BY WHICH HUMAN GREATNESS MAY BE MEASURED, WE MAY WELL ASK, IS THERE ANY MAN GREATER THAN HE?

This was also hinted at by Jesus in Matthew 21:43

“Therefore, say I unto you: ‘The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits.'” (Emphasis mine)

“Thus, you will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:20 (Emphasis mine)

J. “Prophet” and “Messiah”

The word “Christ” is derived from the Hebrew word Messiah, Arabic Maseeh. Root word masaha, meaning “to rub”, “to massage”, “to anoint”. Priests and kings were anointed when being consecrated to their offices. But in its translated Grecian form, “Christ” seems unique: befitting Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – only.

Christians like to translate names into their own language; like Cephas to “Peter”, Messiah to “Christ”. How do they do that? Very easily. Messiah in Hebrew means “Anointed”. The Greek word for anointed is Christos. Just lop off the ‘os’ from Christ-os, you are left with “Christ”; a unique name!

Christos means “Anointed”, and anointed means appointed in its religious connotation. Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – was appointed (anointed) at his baptism by John the Baptist – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, as God’s Messenger.

Although, every prophet is an anointed one of Almighty Allah. Yet, the title Maseeh or Messiah, or its translation “Christ” is exclusively reserved for Jesus, the son of Mary – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –, in both Islam and in Christianity. This is not unusual in religion.

There are certain other honorific titles which may be applied to more than one prophet yet being made exclusive to one by usage: like “Rasoolullah”, meaning “Messenger of Almighty Allah”, which title is applied to both Moses (19:51) and Jesus (61:6) in the Holy Qur’ân. Yet “Rasoolullah” has become synonymous only with Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –, the prophet of Islam, among Muslims.

Every prophet is indeed a “Friend of Almighty Allah”, but its Arabic equivalent “Khaleelullah” is exclusively associated with Father Abraham. This does not mean that the others are not Allah’s friends. 

“Kaleemullah”, meaning “One who spoke with Allah” is never used for anyone other than Moses, yet we believe that Almighty Allah spoke with many of His messengers, including Jesus and Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –. Associating certain titles with certain personages only, does not make them exclusive or unique in any way. We honor all in varying terms. 

If, a careful study of Bible is done, one is going to admit that Bible talks of “Prophet” and “Messiah” as two separate identities.

In Matthew, it says:

“… “Who do men say that the son of man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you …” Matthew 16:13-17 (Emphasis mine)

In John, it says:

“And this is the testimony of John. When the Jews from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites (to him) to ask him, “Who are you?” he admitted and did not deny it, but admitted, “I am not the Messiah.” So, they asked him, “What are you then? Are you Elijah?” And he said, “I am not.” “Are you THE PROPHET?” He answered, “No.”” John 1:19-21 (Emphasis mine)

“The Prophet” or “That Prophet” both are used in different versions of the bible. And they are meant to point out the AWITING PROPHET of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18.

John in chapter 7 says:

“Some in the crowd who heard these words said, “This is truly the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But others said, “The Messiah will not come from Galilee, will he? Does not scripture say that the Messiah will be of David’s family and come from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?” So, a division occurred in the crowd because of him.”             John 7:40-43 (Emphasis mine)

All of these verses indicate a clear picture of the fact, that, the word “Prophet” and “Messiah” are used distinctively, and Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – admits of being as a Christ – “Messiah”, in Matthew 16:16-17

“Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you …” Matthew 16:13-17 (Emphasis mine)

Now, Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – himself refutes the doubt of the Jews of being “The Prophet” or “That Prophet”. It means that Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – is not the AWAITED PROPHET of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18. 

K. “That Prophet”

In New Testament, we find that the Jews were still expecting the fulfillment of the prophecy of ‘ONE LIKE MOSES’. In Matthew, chapter 16, we are told that Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – asks his disciples about the saying of people about him:

“… “Who do men say that the son of man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you …” Matthew 16:13-17 (Emphasis mine)

When Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – claimed to be the Messiah of the Jews, the Jews began to enquire as to where was Eli’jah – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –?

The Jews had a parallel prophecy that before the coming of the Messiah, Eli’jah – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – must come first in his second coming. Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – confirms this Jewish belief: 

“…Eli’jah does come, and he is to restore all things; but I tell you that Eli’jah has already come, and they did not know him … Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.” Matthew 17:11-13 (Emphasis mine)

According to the New Testament (John 1:19-21) the Jews were not the ones to swallow the words of any would-be Messiah. In their investigations they underwent intense difficulties in order to find their true Messiah.

1) ART THOU THE CHRIST?
2) ART THOU ELIAS?
3) ART THOU THAT PROPHET?

Please note that three different and distinct questions were posed to John the Baptist – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – and to which he gave three emphatic “NO’S” as answers. To recapitulate: –

But the learned men of Christendom somehow only see two questions implied here. To make doubly clear that the Jews definitely had T-H-R-E-E separate prophecies in their minds when they were interrogating John the Baptist, let us read the remonstrance of the Jews in the verses following:

“And they asked him, and said unto him, why baptizest thou then, if thou be

a)     NOT THAT CHRIST,

b)    NOR ELIAS,

c)     NEITHER THAT PROPHET?” John 1:25 (Emphasis mine)

If we look up any Bible which has a concordance or cross-references, then we will find in the marginal note where the words “the Prophet” or “that Prophet” occur in John 1:25, that these words refer to the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18. And ‘that prophet’ – ‘the prophet like Moses’ – “LIKE UNTO THEE”, we have proved through overwhelming evidences that he was MUHUMMAD and not Jesus – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –!

L. Final Knock Out

 Leopold Weiss was born in July 1900 in the city of Lvov (German Lemberg), now in Poland, then part of the Austrian Empire.  He was the descendant of a long line of rabbis, a line broken by his father, who became a barrister. Leopold Weiss himself received a thorough religious education that would qualify him to keep alive the family’s rabbinical tradition. 

He had become proficient in Hebrew at an early age and was also familiar with Aramaic. He had studied the Old Testament in the original as well as the text and commentaries of the Talmud, the Mishna and Gemara, and he had delved into the intricacies of Biblical exegesis, the Targum.

Commenting on the verse of the Qur’ân (interpretation of the meaning):

“And do not overlay the truth with falsehood, and do not knowingly suppress the truth” Holy Qur’ân 2:42 (Emphasis mine)

Leopold Weiss writes:

“By ‘overlaying the truth with falsehood’ is meant the corrupting of the biblical text, of which the Qur’ân frequently accuses the Jews (and which has since been established by objective textual criticism), while the ‘suppression of the truth’ refers to their disregard or deliberately false interpretation of the words of Moses in the biblical passage, 

‘The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken’ (Deuteronomy 18:15), and the words attributed to God himself, ‘I will raise them up a prophet from among thy brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth’ (Deuteronomy 18:18).  

The ‘brethren’ of the children of Israel are obviously the Arabs, and particularly the musta`ribah (‘Arabianized’) group among them, which traces its descent to Ishmael and Abraham: and since it is this group that the Arabian Prophet’s own tribe, the Quraysh, belonged, the above biblical passages must be taken as referring to his advent.” Leopold Weiss “The Message of The Qur’ân” (Gibraltar: Dar Al-Andalus, 1984), p. 10-11 (Emphasis mine)

So, you see that this learned scholar among the Jews is admitting the truth put forward by the Holy Qur’ân i.e., overlaying the truth with falsehood and suppression of the truth.

And he is also telling the world that the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:15&18 is no one else other than among the descendents of Ishmael i.e., Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them –.

Grave Warning

See! How the prophecies fit Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him – like a glove. We do not have to stretch prophecies to justify their fulfillment upon Muhammad – peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him –.

The God Almighty knew that there would be people, who will flippantly, light-heartedly discount His words, so He followed up Deuteronomy 18:18 with a dire warning:

“AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT WHOSOEVER WILL NOT HEARKEN UNTO MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME, I WILL REQUIRE IT OF HIM.”

In the Catholic Bible the ending words are – “I will be the revenger“, I will take vengeance from him – I will take revenge!

Does not this terrify you? The God Almighty is threatening revenge! We shake in our pants if some hoodlum threatens us, yet you have no fear of The God Almighty’s warning.

Praise is to Almighty Allah and Peace and Blessings of Almighty Allah be upon all His Messengers.
