Destroying the myth of Satanic Verses once and for All. – Detailed refutation of Christian Prince

There is a popular story mentioned in a few Muslim sources known as story of “Al-Gharaneeq” (Satanic Verses). This story claims that Prophet Muhammad praised the gods of pagan Meccans.

This story, however, was proven by all Muslim scholars through all ages to be a fabricated story which never happened. Here are the reasons. First, all the stories and reports mentioned in Muslims are based on chain of narrations.

To investigate whether a report or story is true or not. We must investigate the chain of narrators of this story or report. We do this investigation by checking the chain of every narration of every report.

In Imam Muslim records in his book that chain of narration is part of religion:

Muhammad bin ‘Abdullâh bin Quhzãh – from the people of Marw – narrated to me, he said: “I heard ‘Abdân bin ‘Uthmân saying: “Abdullãh bin Al-Mubârak said:

“The chain (of narration) is part of religion, were it not for the chain, anyone could say whatever he wanted.” He (Muslim) said: Muhammad bin ‘Ahdullâh said:

“Al-‘Abbâs bin AbI Rizmah said to me: ‘I heard ‘Abdullâh say: “The criterion between us and other people is these lists,” meaning the chain of narration.

[1] Sahih Muslim,book of introduction, Hadith 32

This means that in Islam we don’t take any report or quotation except if it has chain of narrators to investigate this report is true or not. Islam is the only religion which has the chain of transmission

From the chain of transmission, we can investigate the authenticity of reports and events by investigating the narrators of these reports

In the book of Lectures on Arabic historians by an English historian by the name of David Samuel Margoliouth he says in page 20

“Muslims are justified in taking pride in their science of tradition” (“Science of tradition” means chain of narrations)

And then he says

“In other ancient records we have to what is told us on the author’s assertion”: it is rare that a Greek or Roman historian tells us the sources of his information.

[2] Lectures on Arabic Historians by David Samuel Margoliouth pg. 20

Which means that when you are reading ancient books of history you have to assume that the writer of this book is telling the truth because the author doesn’t give you the source of his information. While in all Muslim sources, the case is different.

In all our Muslims sources, we have chain of narrators. And this chain of narrations can be traced back to the original sources of the narration. Islam is the only religion which have this great advantage. On the other hand, all other religions have books which were written by unknown people.

For example, all the stories mentioned in the Bible we do not what are their original sources. We don’t even know who are the authors of the Bible to begin with. While in Islam we can trace the report to its original source. And based on this tracing we can know whether the report is true or not.

Furthermore, all Muslim scholars through all ages who investigated the chain of narrators of this alleged story of “Al-Gharaneeq” (Satanic Verses) have concluded that this story is total fabrication. Their conclusion was based on the study of the chain of narrators.

Based on evidence not on wishful thinking. But unfortunately, we have some great “scholarly men” in this like Sam Shamoun and Sister David wood who have different opinions. And among these great scholars one of them is known as Christian Prince. This great scholar named Christian Prince has knowledge and honesty enough to fill the entire Pacific Ocean.

Big boy is going to show us how Ibn Kathir confirmed the story of Satanic Verses. Get ready because big boy is going to hit us with his amazing knowledge.

He shows the English translation of Ibn Kathir of Quran 22:52-54 which can be found here https://quranx.com/Tafsir/Kathir/22.52 [3]

He claims that during the beginning of the translation which says” How the Shaytan threw some Falsehood into the Words of the Messengers, and how Allah abolished” is written by Ibn Kathir.

The most embarrassing part is the fact that Ibn Kathir never wrote this title! This can be only found in the English translation of Ibn Kathir. This can be nowhere found in the original Arabic one. But he yet again proves that he has known idea what he is talking about!

I repeat this title was not even written by “Ibn Kathir”. This title can only be found in the English translation of Ibn Kathir.

This title was simply written by a translator who translated the tafsir if “Ibn Kathir” to English. The translator simply wrote this title in the table of contents to make it easier for the reader.

After that CP continues to twist and manipulate the words of “Ibn Kathir”.

So later, he claims that “Ibn Kathir” confirmed the story of “Al-Gharaneeq” but he did not confirm the story of Muslims returning back because of this. Really?

Are you serious?

Please tell me that you are joking!

Ibn Kathir clearly said that the story itself and the return of Muslims because of this story all of this are from reports with MURSAL chains.

Ibn Kathir didn’t even say that only this part is Mursal. Ibn Kathir clearly said that this story which is known as Al-Gharaneeq is from reports with fabricated (Mursal) and none of them are Sahih.

But since he wants to play stupid games, he twisted the words of “Ibn Kathir” which does not fit his cheap 10 cent agenda.

The story itself is known as “Al-Gharaneeq” and Ibn Kathir clearly said here that the story of “Al-Gharaneeq” is Mursal(fabricated) and doesn’t come from any Sahih(authentic) chain. This is what Ibn Kathir clearly said.

And furthermore, the English translation of “Ibn Kathir” is not the entire things.

The English translation is just a summary of what Ibn Kathir said.

If we go to the original text of Ibn Kathir in Arabic, we will find more details.

In the original Tafsir of verse 22:52 Ibn Kathir says:

Then Al-Bazzar said: I do not know it was narrated with a connected chain except this one. It was narrated by Umaya bin Khalid, famous and reliable narrators, but he narrated it from Al-Kalbi from Abi Saleh from Ibn Abbas.

[4] Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Original Arabic) verse 22:52

So now Al-Bazzar says the the alleged story of Al-Gharaneeq doesnt come from a connected chain of narration except from Umaya bin Khalid. But this chain of narration comes from Al-Kalbi.

Al-Kalbi>Abi Saleh>Ibn Abbas.

Remember this chain narrator.

Because this chain of narrations is the biggest evidence that story is a fabrication.

This story comes from Al-Kalbi, and guess what? Al-Kalbi himself admitted he is a liar.

Let us see who Al-Kalbi is. In the book of Al-Majroohin min Al-Muhaditheen by Ibn Hibban, who was a great scholar in the 10th century and compiler of Sahih Ibn Hibban. In page number 262 Ibn Hibban will tell us who was Al-Kalbi. [5]

His name is Muhammad Bin Al-Saeb Al-Kalbi.

Al-Kalbi was a Sabean and was from the friends of Abdullah Bin Sabaa.

Who is Abdullah Bin Sabaa? Abdullah Bin Sabaa is the founder of the Shia sect. Which means that Al-Kalbi was Shia not Sunni.

In the next page,

Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal who was a great scholar in the 8th century and compiled the Hadith collection known as ‘Musnad Ahmad’. He was once about Al-Kalbi

And this is what he said

Yahya Bin Maen said: He (Al-Kalbi) is unreliable, and not from him the hadith should be narrated.

[6] Al-Majroohin min Al-Muhaditheen pg 263

Christian Prince then later claims that Al-Qurtubi confirms this alleged story.

So, did Al-Qurtubi really confirm this story as this lying troll claims?

Let us see!

So first, he mentions in the Tafsir of Surah 22 verse 52 [7]

Layth Narrated from Yunus from Ibn Shihab Az Zuhri from Abi Bakr Bin Abdur Rahman Bin Haris Bin Hisham Said:

the Messenger of Allah recited (by the star when it descends) when he reached (Have you considered Al-Lat, Al-Uzza and Manat the third one), he made a mistake and said: their intercession is hope.

Pagan and those who’s in their heart was disease greeted him and they were happy. He then said: Verily this is from the devil.

Then Allah revealed verse 52 of Surat Al-Hajj

Al-Nahas who is a very great scholar who said:

An Nahas said: This Hadith/Narration is Disconnected/interrupted. [8]

Now notice how Imam Al Qurtubi mentions of the narration of Al-Gharaneeq. He quotes the classification/authentication.

An-Nahas mentions about this narration again

He says that this narration is odd and disconnected (munkar)

If you know the classification of Hadith, there are as following:

Sahih (Authentic), Hasan(reliable),Daif(weak),Munkar(disconnected and Mawdo(fabrication).

What about the classification of this Hadith?

As we see Munkar and Munqata. (and interrupted and disconnected)

In the Tafsir of ibn Kathir he says its mursal(fabrication)

Imam Muslim the well-known compiler of Sahih Muslim defines what Munkar is in the introduction Sahih Muslim.

He said:

“The sign of Munkar in the Hadith of a Muhaddith(narrator) is if his narration is compared to a Hadith narrated by one of the people who has a good memory and is of good character, the reports are different and they have hardly anything in common. If most of the reports narrated by a person are like that, then his narration will not be used.”

[9] Sahih Muslim, book of introduction

If you read further in Tafsir Al-Qurtubi page 426

Imam Qurtubi quotes the view of Al-Qadi Iyyad who is a very great scholar.

Let us see what he says concerning this narration

“Al Qadi Iyyad said in his book of Ash Shifa after mentioning evidence for truthfulness of the Prophet and that the Ummah together/unanimously agreed that the Prophet is infallible from conveying anything which contradicts anything revealed to him”

 [10] Tafsir Al-Qurtubi page 426

Imam Qurtubi also quotes Ibn Atiya

“Ibn Atiya said: This narration which therein is this are exalted Gharaneeq occurred in books of Tafsir and similar to it and it did not appear in Bukhari(sahih) nor Muslim(sahih) nor in my knowledge it was mentioned in famous/well know Musannaf.”

 [11] Ibid.

So, as we can it is not mentioned in Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim which are the single most authentic collections of Hadith or any well-known Mussannaf.

That’s it! This is well enough to prove they are not a bit reliable or worthy to be trusted as a source.

This story is mentioned in Tarikh at Tabari and remember Tarikh at Tabari is not part of the Islamic doctrine.

Unreliable historical may mixed with truth and falsehood. And as we see, it is definitely falsehood.

Al-Qurtubi also says in page 427

“It is enough that this narration (i.e., story of Al-Gharaneeq) was not mentioned by anyone from the people of authenticity and was not narrated with any reliable connected chain of narration.”

[12] Tafsir al Qurtubi pg. 427

Yet this lying of a clown whose fans call him a “scholar” says that Al-Qurtubi confirmed the story!

So, whom should we trust here?

Should we trust Al-Qurtubi or an unknown internet troll who hides behinds his screen? The choice is yours!

Now Christian Prince later claims that Al-Bukhari confirmed the so-called story “satanic verse”.

He quotes this Hadith found in Sahih Bukhari 4863

Narrated `Abdullah:

The first Surah in which a prostration was mentioned, was Sura An-Najm (The Star). Allah’s Messenger peace be upon him prostrated (while reciting it), and everybody behind him prostrated except a man whom I saw taking a hand-full of dust in his hand and prostrated on it. Later I saw that man killed as an infidel, and he was Umaiya bin Khalaf.

 [12] Sahih Bukhari 4863

The funniest part is the fact this is the biggest evidence that the Satanic verses never happened in the first place.

Here is why.

The Hadith says that the” The first Surah in which a prostration was mentioned, was Sura An-Najm (The Star). “

Now where was the prostration mentioned in the Surah of Al-Najm?

We see before exacting above quoted Hadith in 4862.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet peace be upon him performed a prostration when he finished reciting Surat-an-Najm, and all the Muslims and pagans and Jinns and human beings prostrated along with him.

 [14] Sahih Bukhari 4862

Verse 53:62 is the verse which made them prostrate. No mention of the Idols here.

This means that the prostration occurred after the Prophet Muhammad finished reciting the Surah Al-Najm

FINISHED.

FINISHED.

Meaning after finished it entirely.

So let us see the last verse of Surah Al-Najm.

So, Prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].

[15] Quran 53:62

So, this means that the Muslims and the Pagans prostrated with the Prophet Muhammad after he finished reciting the Surah of Al-Najm entirely which prostration to Allah was mentioned.

While the story of Satanic verse claims that the prostration occurred in the MIDDLE of the Surah of Al-Najm.

While in Sahih Al-Bukhari the Prostration occurred at end of Surah of Al-Najm and the prostration was to Allah.

And the story in Sahih Bukhari is the authentic original one which was later fabricated.

And more than that, the start of the Surah Al-Najm clearly disproves that the Prophet Muhammad got revelation from Satan.

And the beginning of the Surah says

Your companion [Muhammad] has not stayed, nor has he erred Quran 53:2

 [16] Quran 53:2

This means that the Prophet Muhammad has never strayed or made a mistake when receiving revelation.

Christian Princes dishonesty does not even stop there. He also claims Al-Razi affirms this.

Now let us go to Al-Razi

“And the Imam “Abu Bakr Ahmad Ibn Al-Husayn Al-Bayhaqi” said: this story (i.e., story of Al-Gharaneeq) is not confirmed from the way of its transmission. Then he spoke about how the narrators of this story are unreliable.

And Al-Bukhari narrated in his Sahih that the Prophet recited the Surah of An-Najm and prostrated with him the Muslims, pagans, all mankind, and Jinn without the mentioning of the story of Al-Gharaneeq (i.e., Satanic verses).”

[17] Tafsir Al Kabir by Al Razi Ch 22 verse 52

This means that the story of the so called “satanic verses” was not affirmed by Al-Razi as these jokers claims.

And the funny thing is that the same page this joker showed Al-Razi himself says: So, by these ways we know that this story (i.e Satanic verses) is fabrication.

Christian Prince obviously did not show or tell this to his gullible followers. It is because he loves taking advantage of their gullibility and ignorance.

Now he also claims Quran 22:52 confirms the Satanic verses story.

We sent not ever any Messenger or Prophet before thee, but that Satan cast into his fancy, when he was fancying; but God annuls what Satan casts, then God confirms His signs — surely God is All-knowing, All-wise —

Quran 22:52. [18]

[18] Quran 22:52.

This verse from Quran 22:52 never in no way confirms that Satan interfered in the revelation of the Quran.

You will find the online translations of the Quran are different regarding this verse.

Some of the translations translated the word “Tammana” as “recited”

And other translations translated the word “Tammana” as “desired”

And in fact, in the the correct translation of the word “Tammana” means “desired” not “recited”.

The correct Arabic word for recited os “Qarraa” or “Qiraata” not “Tammana”.

And Ibn Hazam Al-Andalusi who was a scholar in the 11th century responded to the claim this verse is about the story of the Satanic verses.

He says Al-Fesal Fil milal wal Ahwaa wal Nihal pg 84

“But the narration which is in it (they are the exalted Gharaneeq),it is an obvious fabricated lie because it was never authenticated from the way of transmission“

[19] Al-Fesal Fil milal wal Ahwaa wal Nihal pg 84

This clearly affirms that the story of the Satanic verses is an obvious fabrication.

He says in the same page [20]

“They have no argument in this verse because the desires in the soul are meaningless. And the Prophet desired that his uncle Abi Talib to embrace Islam and Allah didn’t want that he embraces Islam. And he (the Prophet) desired that they defeat the enemy on the battle of Uhud and Allah didn’t want that.

So, these are the desires which Allah mentioned”

Ibid.

So, in conclusion verse 22:52 has nothing to do with Satan revealing verses to the Prophet Muhammad.

Now since CP loves to talk about Satan and Satanic stuff.

I am going to prove that Christianity is based according to Satan’s plan according to the Bible.

In John 13:21 it says

After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.”

[21] John 13:21

So, who is the one who is going to betray Jesus? Let us continue.

In verse 26

Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

 [22] John 13:26

So according to the Bible its Judas is the one who betrayed Jesus.

In verse 27

As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. [23]

So now Satan entered Judas. Let us see what Judas will do while Satan is in him.

And then Luke 22:4 Judas agreed to betray him [24]

And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus.

So now when Judas became possessed by Satan, he wanted to deliver Jesus for crucifixion. Which means according to the Bible the crucifixion was a Satanic plan. Which also means that Christianity is based on a Satanic plan.

Yet Christians accuse Muslims of believing that Allah saved Prophet Jesus from a Satanic Plan!

If crucifixion was a divine plan and if Jesus really wanted to be crucified. The why did he say that the one who wants to hand him for crucifixion is betraying him?!

If Jesus truly wanted really wanted crucifixion, then the one who also wants his crucifixion is not betraying him. This means clearly the crucifixion was according to Satan’s plan. How can divine plan and Satanic plan be the same?

In 2 Samuel Chapter 24 [25]

Again, the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go and take a census of Israel and Judah.”

So, in this verse it is the lord who incited David to take a census of Israel and Judah.

But in 1 Chronicles chapter 21 its Satan [26]

Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.

How can God and Satan incite the same thing?

Something is wrong with the Bible here!

Let us see how Paul the author of the New Testament was praising pagan Greek idols.

In Acts 17:28 [NIV] [27]

For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.

You might have no noticed that Paul was praising pagan Greek idols here.

But if we read the footnotes here

Footnote number a says “from the Cretan Philosopher Epimeriids

And in footnote number b it says “from the Cilician Stoic philosopher Aratus

Now if we go to the Biblical commentary, we will see which poetry Paul was quoting

In “A New Testament commentary for English readers by various writers Volume 2, page 118” we see that when Paul said “we are his offspring” he was quoting from this poetry which says

“From Zeus begin we; never let us leave His name unloved. With Him, with Zeus, are filled All paths we tread, and all the marts of men; Filled, too, the sea, and every creek and bay; And all in all things need we help of Zeus, For we too are his offspring”

[28] A New Testament commentary for English readers by various writers Volume 2, page 118

Paul here was quoting a pagan Greek poet named Aratus. Aratus here was praising a pagan Greek idol named Zeus. Aratus here was praising Zeus by saying “for we too are his offspring”. And Paul quoted saying “we are his offspring”

Why did Paul mention a pagan poet who was praising his idol that is the burning question?

Also, according to the Bible, Solomon became a pagan.

In 1 kings 11:4 we read [29]

As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

Yet Christians believe that Solomon is the author of proverbs and “Song and Solomon”

So, this means that according to them one of the Biblical authors is pagan.

While Muslims Prophet Solomon NEVER became a pagan or a disbeliever.

Quran (2:102) reads [30]

And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut.

But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, “We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic].” And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah.

And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves if they only knew.

Conclusion after this analysis? Bible is an insult to the Prophets.
