The veracity of the claim ‘Bible is not a reliable source of information’ is clearly substantiated by the following evidence:

  1. Textual Inconsistencies
(Which Bible? Forgeries & Lost Manuscripts)
  2. Historical Inconsistencies
(Biblical Error: The Kings & Pharaohs Of Egypt)
  3. Scientific Inconsistencies
    (Astrology, Medicine, Hydrology, Biology etc.)
  4. Mathematical Inconsistencies
    (Author cannot do simple arithmetic)
  5. Logical Inconsistencies
(Killing of infants for the crimes of their ancestors?)
  6. Moral Inconsistencies
    (Disgusting, graphic, X-Rated pornography)
  7. Literary Inconsistencies
    (Author speaks “bad Greek”)

1. TEXTUAL INCONSISTENCIES

p52

1A: What constitutes as the Bible? Did the Holy Ghost fail to fix the NT cannon: – Stop living in denial and admit that there is no such thing as one Bible.

The number of books in the Bible depends upon the Church one is following.

Protestant Church (66 books)
Roman Catholic Church (73 books)
Not to mention the countless other denominations…

The Christians usually call one another “HERETICS” in order to evade answering this multi-million-dollar question.

Thus, we read Under Canon of the New Testament the Catholic Encyclopedia:
“The idea of a complete and clear-cut canon of the New Testament existing from the beginning, that is from Apostolic times, has no foundation in history. The Canon of the New Testament, like that of the Old, is the result of a development, of a process at once stimulated by disputes with doubters, both within and without the Church, and retarded by certain obscurities and natural hesitations, and which did not reach its final term until the dogmatic definition of the Tridentine Council.”

The Old Testament also has similar problems:
“Not until the end of the 2d century did Christians begin to take an interest in defining the scope of authoritative Jewish writings.” (Melito, in Eusebius Hist. Eccl. 4.26.13-14)

Thus, the Old Testament canon was debated well into the 5th century amongst Jewish Rabis.

How then do we know which books of the Bible are inspired? The early Christians accepted scriptures such as the Shepherd of Hermas and the Epistle of Barnabas (both included in the Codex Sinacaticus) as God’s inspired word. But latter on these scriptures were deemed apocrypha meaning of doubtful authority (the word actually means “hidden from the people”).

Why? Did the Holy Ghost decide to come down and inspire the latter Christians that these scriptures were actually apocrypha and that for all this time their fellow Christian brethren were following a fabricated piece of scripture? I think not.

And if the Holy Spirit did not guide them unto all truth, as prophesied by Jesus in John 14:16-26/15:26/16:7-14, then who was Jesus talking about? Please note that, in the Bible, Jesus is referred to as ‘PARACLETE’ (SAME word! 1 John II) and other Prophets are referred to as ‘SPIRIT’ (1 John 4:1-3).

Now let’s read the Prophesy carefully: “It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” Given that the Holy Ghost was already with the Israelite (and even quite active) long before the coming of Jesus (peace be upon him) himself and then throughout his ministry, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the only one who fulfilled this prophesy! Remember, he is also mentioned by NAME in the Bible!

1B: 1 John 5:7 IS A FABRICATION

The only verses in the whole Bible that explicitly ties God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in one “Triune” being is the verse of 1 John 5:7

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

This verse is now universally recognized as being a later “insertion” of the Church and all recent versions of the Bible, such as the Revised Standard Version the New Revised Standard Version, the New American Standard Bible, the New English Bible, the Phillips Modern English Bible …etc. have all unceremoniously expunged this verse from their pages. Why is this? The scripture translator Benjamin Wilson gives the following explanation for this action in his “Emphatic Diaglott.” Mr. Wilson says:

“This text concerning the heavenly witness is not contained in any Greek manuscript which was written earlier than the fifteenth century. It is not cited by any of the ecclesiastical writers; not by any of early Latin fathers even when the subjects upon which they treated would naturally have lead them to appeal to it’s authority. It is therefore evidently spurious.”

1C: John 8:2-11 NOT FOUND IN EARLIEST MANUSCRIPTS!

“Interestingly enough, the earliest manuscripts of the Gospel of John do not contain this beloved passage. Indeed, the first manuscript to contain the story is from around 400 C.E. Around 4% of Greek manuscripts that include the passage place it in locations other than John 8:1-8:11; the earliest of these is from around the ninth and tenth centuries C.E. This perplexing manuscript history fuels debates about whether the story was originally in John’s Gospel and, if so, where. The majority of scholars believe a later Christian scribe inserted the passage into John’s Gospel at John 8:1-8:11…”

Manuscript History and John 8:1-8:11

1D: THE WORD *HOLY* IN JOHN 14:26 IS ALSO A FABRICATION

Please note that John 14:26 is the ONLY verse of the Bible which associates the Parakletos with the ‘Holy’ Spirit. In the famous the Codex Syriacus, written around the fifth century C.E., and discovered in 1812 on Mount Sinai by Mrs.Agnes S. Lewis (and Mrs. Bensley), the text of 14:26 reads; “Paraclete, the Spirit”; and NOT â€œParaclete, the Holy Spirit.”.

Qur’anic Accuracy Vs. Biblical Error: The Kings & Pharaohs Of Egypt

Modern Linguistic Studies Concerning the Word “Pharaoh” vs Biblical Usage of The Word “Pharaoh” vs Qur’anic Usage of The Words “King” & “Pharaoh”

According to modern linguist research the word “Pharaoh” comes from the Egyptian per-aa, meaning the “Great House” and originally referred to the palace rather than the king himself. The word was used by the writers of the Old Testament and has since become a widely adopted title for all the kings of Egypt. However, the Egyptians did not call their ruler “Pharaoh” until the 18th Dynasty (c. 1552 – 1295 BC) in the New Kingdom Period. In the language of the hieroglyphs,

“Pharaoh” was first used to refer to the king during the reign of Amenhophis IV (c. 1352 – 1338 BC). We know that such a designation was correct in the time of Moses but the use of the word Pharaoh in the story of Joseph is an anachronism, as under the rule of the Hyksos there was no “Pharaoh.”

Similarly, the events related in Genesis 12 concerning Abraham (c. 2000-1700 BCE) could not have occurred in a time when the sovereign of Egypt was called Pharaoh, and this exposes yet another anachronism. In several chapters of Genesis we find the same error frequently recurring â€“ some ninety-six times in total.

What is clear is that the biblical writers composed their texts under the influences of the knowledge of their time, when the king of Egypt was usually designated as “Pharaoh”. The Interpreter’s Dictionary Of The Bible explains the reasons of such discrepancies with modern knowledge:

The frank attitude toward the stories about Egypt in Genesis and Exodus is that folk memory had retained the essentials of great Hebrew experience but had later clothed that memory with some details imperfectly recollected and some circumstantial details borrowed from later times and conditions.[J. A. Wilson, “Pharaoh” in G. A. Buttrick (Ed.), The Interpreter’s Dictionary Of The Bible, 1962 (1996 Print), Volume 3, op. cit., p. 774]

The situation is entirely different in the Qur’an. As is the case with the Bible, reference to the sovereign of ancient Egypt is found throughout various chapters of the Qur’an. A careful study of the minutiae of each narrative reveals some compelling differences. With regard to the Egyptian king who was a contemporary of Joseph, the Qur’an uses the title “King” (Arabic, Malik); he is never once addressed as Pharaoh. As for the king who ruled during the time of Moses, the Qur’an repeatedly calls him Pharaoh (Arabic, Fir’awn).

These facts that we have mentioned were unknown at the time of the Qur’anic Revelation. The only source of knowledge of the religious past were the Bible-based stories in circulation. From the time of the Old Testament to the Qur’an, the only document mankind possessed on these ancient stories was the Bible itself. Furthermore, the knowledge of the old Egyptian hieroglyphs had been totally forgotten until they were finally deciphered in the 19th century CE.

The historicity of the Pharaonic title provides yet another sharp reminder to those that adhere to the precarious theory that parts of the Qur’an were allegedly copied from the Bible. If Egyptian hieroglyphs were long dead and the biblical account an inaccurate work of folk memory, then from where did the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) obtain his information? The Qur’an answers:

Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled. Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him. He was taught by one mighty in Power. [Qur’an 53:2-5]

It is interesting to note that the meaning of the word ayah, usually translated as ‘verse’ in the Qur’an, also means a sign and a proof. The reference to Pharaoh and other facts concerning ancient Egypt in the Qur’an suggests a special reflection.

And Allah knows best!

3. SCIENTIFIC INCONSISTENCIES

Silhouette of Telescope

Point No. 1 – Astronomy: â€˜The creation of the Earth and the Heaven – the universe was created in six, 24-hour days.

Book of Genesis, 1st Ch., it says: ‘Almighty God created the Heavens and the Earth, in six days and talks about an evening and a morning, referring to a 24 – hour day.

Today scientists tell us, that the universe cannot be created in a 24-hour period of six days. Qur’an too speaks about six ‘ayyams’. The Arabic word singular is ‘yaum’ plural is ‘ayyam’. It can either mean a day of 24 hours, or it is a very long period, an ‘yaum’, an epoch. Scientists say we have no objection in agreeing that the universe – it could have been created in 6 very long periods.

Point No. 2 – Light was then before the source of light.

Bible says in Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses No. 3 and 5,…‘Light was created on the first day.’ Genesis, Ch., 1 Verses, 14 to 19… ‘The cause of light – stars and the sun, etc. was created on the fourth day’. How can the cause of light be created on the 4th day – later than the light which came into existence on the first day? – It is unscientific.

Point No. 3 – Day came into existence before creation of Earth.

Further, the Bible says Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses 9 to 13… ‘Earth was created on the 3rd day. How can you have a night and day without the earth? The day depends upon the rotation of the Earth Without the earth created, how can you have a night and day?

Point No. 4 – Earth came into existence before Sun.

Genesis, Ch. No. 1 Verses 9 to 13 says… ‘Earth was created on the third day.’ Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses 14 to 19 says… ‘The Sun and the Moon were created on the fourth day.’ Today science tells us… â€˜Earth is part of the parent body… the sun.’ It cannot come into existence before the sun – It is unscientific.

Point No. 5 – Vegetation came into existence, before sunlight

The Bible says in Genesis, Ch. No.1, Verse No. 11 to 13… ‘The vegetation, the herbs the shrubs, the trees – they were created on the 3rd day And the Sun, Genesis, Ch. No. 1, Verses. 14 to 19, was created on the 4th day. How can the vegetation come into existence without sunlight, and how can they survive without sunlight?

Point No. 6 – Light of the Moon is its own light.

The Bible says in Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses No.16, that… ‘God created two lights the greater light, the Sun to rule the day, and the lesser light the Moon, to rule the night. The actual translation, if you go to the Hebrew text, it is ‘lamps’… ‘Lamps having lights of its own.’

And that you will come to know better, if you read both the Verses – Genesis, Ch. No.1, Verse. 16, as well as 17. Verse No.17 says… ‘And Almighty God placed them in the firmament, to give light to the earth… To give light to the earth.’ Indicating, that Sun and the Moon has its own light – which is in contradiction with established scientific knowledge that we have.

There are certain people who try and reconciliate, and say that the six days mentioned in the Bible, it actually refers to epochs â€“ like the Qur’an long periods – not six, 24-hour day. It is illogical – you read in the Bible, evening, morning –

It clearly states 24 hours, it indicates. But even if I use the concordance approach – no problem. I agree with your illogical argument – Yet they will only be able to solve the 1st scientific error of 6 days creation, and second, of first day ‘light’ and 3rd day ‘earth.’ The remaining four, yet they cannot solve.

Some further say that… ‘If it is a 24-hour period, why cannot the vegetables survive for one 24-hour day without sunlight?’ I say ‘Fine – If you say that the vegetables were created before the sun, and can survive for one 24-hour day, I have got no objection. But you cannot say the days mentioned are 24 hours as well as epochs – You cannot have the cake and eat it, both.

If you say it is long period, you solve Point No.1 and 3, the remaining 4 are yet there. If you say the days are 24 hours day, you solve only Point No.5 – the remaining 5 are yet there – It becomes unscientific. I leave it to Christians whether they want to say… ‘It is long period’, and say that there are only 4 scientific errors – or say… ‘It is a 24-hour day’, and say there is only 5 scientific errors in the creation of the universe.

Point No. 7 – The earth – Will it perish or will it abide forever?

Regarding the concept of Earth, there are various Scientists who have described… ‘How will the world end.’ Hypothesis – Some may be right; some may be wrong. But either the world will perish or the world will live forever. Both cannot take place simultaneously – It is unscientific. But this is exactly what the Bible says.

It is mentioned in the Bible, in the book of Hebrews, Ch. No.1 Verses No.10 and 11, and the book of Psalms, Ch. No.102, Verse No.25 and 26, that… â€˜Almighty God created the Heavens and the Earth, and they will perish.’ Exactly opposite is mentioned in the book of Ecclesiastics, Ch. No.1, Verse No.4, and the book of Psalms, Ch. No.78, Verse No.69, that… â€˜The earth will abide forever.’ I leave it to Christians to choose which of the two Verses are unscientific – the first pair or the second pair. One has to be unscientific – Both cannot take place. The world cannot abide forever as well as perish – It is unscientific.

Point No. 8 – The heavens have got pillars.

Regarding ‘the Heavens’, the Bible says in Job, Ch. 26, Verse 11, that… ‘The pillars of the Heaven will tremble.’ Qur’an says in Surah Luqman, Ch. 31, Verse No.10, that… â€˜Don’t you see the Heavens are without any pillars?’ â€“ Bible says heaven have got pillars.

Point No. 9 – The earth has got pillars.

Not only do the Heavens have got pillars – Bible says in the first book of Samuel, Ch. No.2 Verses No.8, as well as the book of Job Ch. No.9, Verse No.6, and the book of Psalms Ch. No.75, Verse No.3, that… ‘Even the earth has got pillars.’

23b3ed1b355b998a6700e171528dd3fb

Point No. 10 – God said… ‘You can have all plants and all vegetation, including the poisonous plants?’

In the field of ‘Diet and Nutrition’ let’s analyze, what does the Bible say. The Bible says in the book of Genesis, Ch. No.1, Verse No.29, that… ‘God has given you all the herbs bearing seeds, the trees bearing fruits – those that bear seed, as meat for you.’ New International Version says… â€˜The seed bearing plants, and the trees bearing fruits bearing seeds are food for you, all of them.’

Today, even a layman knows that there are several poisonous plants like wild berries, stritchi, datura, plants containing alkaloid, polyander, bacaipoid – that which if you ingest, if you eat there are high possibilities you may die. How come the Creator of the universe and the human beings, does not know, that if you have these plants, you will die – Nauzubillah… if we presume, that this is the word of God. I hope Christian doctors do not give these vegetarian diets to their patients.

Point No. 11 – The scientific, falsification test of Mark, Ch. No. 16, Verse No. 17 and 18.

The Bible has a scientific test how to identify a true believer. It is mentioned in the Gospel of Mark, Ch. No.16, Verse No.17 and 18 – It says that… ‘There will be signs for true believers and among the signs – In my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak foreign tongues, new tongues, they shall take up serpents – And if they drink deadly poison, they shall not be harmed â€“ And when they place their hand over the sick, they shall be cured.’

This is a scientific test – In scientific terminology, it is known as the ‘confirmatory test’ for a true Christian believer. In the past 10 years of my life, I have personally interacted with thousands of Christians, including missionaries – I have not come across a single Christian, who has passed this confirmatory test of the Bible. I have not come across a single Christian who took poison, and who has not died.

And in scientific terminology, this is also called as the ‘falsification test’ That means if a false person tries and does this test… takes poison, he will die. And a false person will not dare attempt this test – If you are not a true Christian believer, you will not dare attempt this test. You would think they would perform this miracle to convert people to Christianity, but these polyglot Christians are no where to be found.

Point No. 12 – A woman remains unclean for double the period, if she gives birth to a daughter, as compared to a son.

It is mentioned in the book of Leveticus, Ch. No.12, Verse No.1 to 5, and we know medically, that after a mother gives birth to a child, the post-partal period, it is unhygienic. To say it is ‘unclean’, Religiously – I have got no objection. But Leviticus, Ch. No.12 Verse No.1 to 5, says that… â€˜After a woman gives birth to a male child, she will be unclean for 7 days, and the period of uncleanliness will continue for 33 days more.

If she gives birth to a female child, she will be unclean for two weeks, and the period of uncleanliness will continue for 66 days. In short, if a woman gives birth to a male child… ‘a son’, she is  unclean for 40 days. If she gives birth to a female child… ‘a daughter’, she is unclean for 80 days. I would like Christian doctors to explain scientifically, how come a woman remains unclean for double the period, if she gives birth to a female child, as compared to a male child.

Medicine doctor hand working with modern computer interface

Point No. 13 – Using blood to disinfect the house, against plague of leprosy.

In the field of Medicine, the Bible says in the book of Leviticus, Ch. No.14, Verse No.49 to 53 – it gives a novel way for disinfecting a house from plague of leprosy. It says that… ‘Take two birds, kill one bird, take wood, scale it – and the other living bird, dip it in water… and under running water – later on sprinkle the house 7 times with it. Sprinkle the house with blood to disinfect against plague of leprosy? You know blood is a good media of germs, bacteria, as well as toxin â€“ I hope Christian doctors do not use this method of disinfecting the operation theatre.

Point No. 14 – How do you find out the bitter water test for adultery?

The Bible also has a very good test for adultery – How to come to know a woman has committed adultery. In the book of Numbers, Ch. no.5 Verse No..11 to 31, I’ll just say in brief, it says that… â€˜The priest should take holy water in a vessel, take dust from the floor, and put it into the vessel â€“ And that is the bitter water ‘And after cursing it, give it to the woman And if the woman has committed adultery, after she drinks it, the curse will enter her body, the stomach will swell, the thigh will rot, and she shall be cursed by the people. If the woman has not committed adultery, she will remain clean and she will bear the seed. A novel method of identifying whether a woman has committed adultery or not.

3a7852f0-5074-11e4-9267-cdeb7a70d2d7_CATERS_Round_Rainbow_In_The_Sky_01

Point No. 15 – Hydrology: Almighty God said, â€œI put up a rainbow in the sky, as a promise to the human kind, never to submerge the world again by water”.

Bible says in Genesis, Ch. No.9, Verse No.13 to 17, that… ‘After God, at the time of Noah submerged the world by flood, and after the flood’ subsided, He said… ‘I put up a rainbow in the sky as a promise to the humankind never to submerge the world again, by water.

To the unscientific person it may be quite good… ‘Oh, rainbow is a sign of Almighty God, never to submerge the world by flood again.’ But today we know very well, that rainbow is due to the refraction of sunlight, with rain or mist. Surely there must have been thousands of rainbows before the time of Noah, peace be upon him. To say it was not there before Noah’s time you have to assume that the law of refraction did not exist â€“ which is unscientific.’

Leviticus 20:21: “If a man marries his brother’s wife, it is an act of impurity; he has dishonored his brother. They will be childless.”

4. MATHEMATICAL INCONSISTENCIES

1 aBWmXuAqQR6cBjJhTAmP_A
  1. Eighteen different contradictions in less than 60 Verses of Ezra, Ch. 2, and Nehemiah, Ch. 7
  2. The total is different is both the chapters:
In Ezra Ch no 2: 29,818 (and not 42,360).
In Nehemiah Ch. No 7: 31,089 (and again not 42,360).
  3. Are there 200 singing men and women (Ezra 2), or are there 245 singing men and women (Nehemiah 7)?
  4. Was Jehoiachin 18 years old, or was he 8 years old when he began to reign (2 Kings 24:8 and 2 Chronicles 36:9)?
  5. Did he reign for 3 months, or 3 months 10 days?
  6. Did Solomon have 3000 baths, or 2000 baths (1 Kings 7:26 and 2 Chron. 4:5)?
  7. Is that Basha, how could he invade Judah, 10 years after his death? (2 Chronicles 16:1 and 1 Kings 16:8)

And The Problem of the Bible: Inaccuracies, contradictions, fallacies, scientific issues and more.

5. LOGICAL INCONSISTENCIES

Sons don’t bear the sins of their fathers:
“Fathers are not to be put to death for their children or children for their fathers; each person will be put to death for his own sin. Do not deny justice to a foreigner or fatherless child, and do not take a widow’s garment as security. Remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you from there. Therefore, I am commanding you to do this.” (Deut. 24:16-18)

“Yet you ask, ‘Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. The one who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.” (Ezekiel 18:19-20)

…Yet, infants are killed for crimes of their forefathers:
1 Samuel 15:2-3: “This is what the LORD Almighty says: â€˜I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel [500 years ago!] when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt.

Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

Compare this with: 10 Islamic Rules of War, which forbids killing of women and children!

Is it then surprising that the legal maxim “innocent until proven guilty” was adopted from the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him)?

Verse-of-the-Quran-over-America-Harvard-University-Photos

Harvard University says Quran verse of the greatest expressions of justice:

Described by the institution as one of the greatest expressions of justice in history,
Verse 135 of Surah Al Nisa (The Women Chapter) is dedicated to humanity as the best expression defending and articulating justice.

6. MORAL INCONSISTENCIES

Allah Almighty says, â€œSo woe to those who write something down with their own hands and then claim, ‘This is from God,’ in order to make some small gain. Woe to them for what their hands have written! Woe to them for all that they have earned!” (The Noble Quran, 2:79)”

Point No. 1 – Incest in the Bible refers to sexual relations between certain close kinship relationships

which are prohibited by the Hebrew Bible. These prohibitions are found predominantly in Leviticus 18:8–18 and 20:11–21, but also in Deuteronomy.

Yet, there is praise of incestuous fantasies in the Song of Songs. I will spare the readers from the more graphic texts:
Song of Songs 8:1-3 â€œIf only you were to me like a brother, who was nursed at my mother’s breasts!…”

Many other English translations say “…. were a brother to me….” Others say “…. were as a brother to me….”

Point No. 2 – Graphic, X-Rated Texts

How can this scripture be for children! â€œShe remembered her lover with the penis like a …” (Ezekiel 23:20)

Point No. 3 – Women do not have rights in Bible!

-Deuteronomy 25:11 “And in case men struggle together (in a fight) with one another, and the wife of the one has come near to deliver her husband out of the striking one (to save her husband), and she has thrust out her hand and grabbed hold of his private (the other man’s groin), she must then get both her hands cut off, and the eyes of the men must feel no sorrow.”

Ephesians 5:22-24 …wives should submit to their husbands etc.
-1 Timothy 2:11-15 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent etc.

-1 Corinthians 14:33-35 …women should remain silent in the churches (and following).
-1 Corinthians 11:3-16 Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man (and following).

-Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
-Peter 3:1-6 Wives in the same way be submissive to your husbands (and following).
-Titus 2: 4-5 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands so that no one will malign the word of God.

-Leviticus 21:9 â€œIf a priest’s daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she disgraces her father; she must be burned in the FIRE.”

-1 Corinthians 11:6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
-Leviticus 12:2-5, if a woman gives birth to a baby boy, then she becomes unclean for 7 days.

But if she gives birth to a baby girl, then she becomes unclean for 14 days. [This verse is another proof that women in the Bible are disliked to be born!]

-Ecclesiasticus 22:3 “….and the birth of ANY daughter is a loss” (From the New Jerusalem Bible. It’s a Roman Catholics Bible; Roman Catholics today form more than 75% of the Christians population throughout the world).

-Deuteronomy 22:28-30 “If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.”

7. LITERARY INCONSISTENCIES

1024px-Major_levels_of_linguistic_structure.svg

If the Holy Ghost is indeed God, then one should expect him to at least speak proper Greek. However, that is not the case at all, thus we read the orientalist admission comparing the feeble style of the Bible with that magnificence of the Quran: –

“In contrast to the stylistic perfection of the Kur’an with the stylistic imperfections of the older Scriptures the Muslim theologian found himself unknowingly and on purely postulative grounds in agreement with long line of Christian thinkers whose outlook on the Biblical text is best summed up in Nietzsche’s brash dictum that the Holy Ghost wrote bad Greek.“ [B Lewis, V L Menage, Ch. Pellat & J Schacht (Editors), Encyclopedia Of Islam (New Edition): 1971, Volume III, E J Brill (Leiden) & Luzac & Co. (London), pp. 1020 (Under I’djaz).]

We also read:

“In Christianity, besides, the apology for the “low” style of the Bible is merely a part of educational problem â€“ what to do with secular erudition within Christianity; whereas in Islam, the central position of the Kur’an, as the focal point and justification of grammatical and literary studies, was theoretically at least, never contested within the believing community.” [B Lewis, V L Menage, Ch. Pellat & J Schacht (Editors), Encyclopedia Of Islam (New Edition): 1971, Volume III, E J Brill (Leiden) & Luzac & Co. (London), pp. 1020 (Under I’djaz).]

So, the Holy Ghost speaks bad Greek! Is there anything worth boasting about the Bible? I don’t think so.

Contradictions in The Bible.
