Come to truth (Al-Qur’an 3:64)
Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is similar between us and you, that we worship none but Allah (Alone), and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are (submitting as obedient servant to Allah) Muslims.”
Jesus as a Prophet
John 9:17
“So, they said to the blind man again, “What do you say about him, since he opened your eyes?” And he said, “He is a prophet.”
There is no language where God and prophet are synonymous term. God cannot be prophet.
We read in the same Bible Jesus was referred to as a prophet:
โAnd he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:โ (Luke 24:19)
โAnd there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, that a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his peopleโ (Luke 7:16)
โBut when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.โ (Math 21:46)
โBut Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own houseโ (Mark 6:4)
When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!” (John 6:14)
So, Jesus was no more than a messenger of God.
Jesus as a Prophet
There is no language where God and prophet are synonymous term. God cannot be prophet. We read in the same Bible Jesus was referred to as a prophet:
โAnd he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:โ (Luke 24:19)
โAnd there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great #prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his peopleโ (Luke 7:16)
โBut when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.โ (Math 21:46)
โBut Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own houseโ (Mark 6:4)
So Jesus was no more than a messenger of God.
All Prophets & Jesus are Servantsโ
โThe God of Abraham, and of Isaac, hath glorified his servant Jesus.โ [Acts 3:13 RSV]
Jesus (pbuh) said; โJust as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve.โ [Matthew 20:28]
โBehold my servant (Jesus), whom I have chosen.โ [Matthew 12:18]
โFor of a truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou hast anointed.โ [Acts 4:27]
Now HOW CAN YOU DENY THIS PLAIN TRUTH AND FOLLOW THE WHIMS AND DESIRES OF THOSE WHO SAY JESUS IS A BORN BABY GOD!!!!
Isn’t that Blasphamous against God?
Jesus as the Messenger and Prophet of God
Jesus was the last prophet in Israel. He was called the son of God, an expression that was in common use in scripture to mean โman of God โmetaphorically and in no single instance did it connote God. Nowhere in the Gospels or the Epistles is it said that Jesus referred to himself as God or implied that he was God.
The expression, Lord, was applied to him but there is no evidence that those who made use of this expression with reference to him believed, or meant to convey, that he was God. It was used as a synonym for master.
Muslims believed Jesus is messenger as revealed in the Qurโan and Bible itself where Jesus proves himself, he was only a messenger of God but not God. Quran stated:
“The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word (command) which He conveyed unto Mary…” (Quran 4:171)
The word โMESSENGERโ according to Oxford dictionary is; n. a person who carries a message.
So we will see below where Jesus clarified himself from debris of false believe that he was a messenger sent by God Almighty and not God.
โJesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who SENT me.โ (John 7:16)
โJesus saith unto them, my meat is to do the will of him that SENT me, and to finish his work.โ (John 4:34)
โJesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he SENT meโ (john 8:42)
. โI can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath SENT me.โ (John 5:30)
โFor I have not spoken of myself; but the father which SENT me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.โ (John 12:49)
From the above references if Jesus is God, he wouldnโt have been sent by another God, but he would just come by himself. But these prove him he was just a messenger like any other messenger that God sent before him, e g, Moses, Jacob, Abraham, etc.
