1. Meaning of Islam and Shariah
Islam comes from the word “aslama” which means to accept, surrender, or to submit. Islam means submitting your will to Almighty God. Anyone who submits his will to Almighty God, in Arabic he is called a “Muslim.”
In Islam, the sovereignty belongs to Almighty God, Allah (SWT).
Shariah is the body of Islamic Law. In an Islamic state, the sovereignty belongs to Almighty God. Therefore, it is necessary that his (God’s_ law should be established on earth, not the man-made laws.
In other words, establishment of Shariah means establishment of God’s law on earth.
2. Islam and Democracy
Some people may question. Can Islam and Democracy go together?
To say that Islam and democracy can go together is as similar to saying “Kufr (blasphemy) and Eeman (faith) can go together”. It is as similar to saying, “A human being can worship idols and still remain a Muslim”.
In other words, Islam and Democracy CANNOT go together. In democracy, the sovereignty belongs to human beings, whereas in Islam sovereignty belongs to Almighty Allah (SWT). Agreeing with democracy means agreeing that laws made by human beings are superior to the laws of God. This is nothing but blasphemy. In democracy, human beings make laws and they can legalize anything. Just like in the Western world, we see that porn industries, prostitution, drugs etc. have all been legalized. This is the result of democracy.
Like some time ago, adultery was a crime in the West. Then it became legalized and homosexuality became a crime. Then they legalized homosexuality and today child pornography is a crime. They are likely to legalize that in near future as well !
Note: When I say adultery was a crime. It is understood that homosexuality and child pornography were also crimes back then.
This is the result of democracy; you can legalize any evil you wish. Let me explain this with a help of a joke, which will explain the reality of democracy. It’s a joke by the way.
There was an American, he left New York and came to settle in Afghanistan. The Afghanis got hold of him and asked him “Why did you leave the land of the brave, America. You could get anything there, you had all the luxuries of life over there” So he replied. “When I was a child, homosexuality was a crime, when I grew up they legalized it, after some time calling a homosexual bad became a crime, I am afraid if I stay there any longer they will make it compulsory.
3. Christians pray regularly for the establishment of Shariah in the World.
Shariah as I explain is the establishment of God’s law on earth. Christians regularly pray for that. The prayer which Jesus Christ (pbuh) taught.
9“This, then, is how you should pray: ” ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Mathew 6:9-10)
So you see Christians regularly pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, his law be established on earth. So you see that Christians regularly pray for the establishment of Shariah in the world but they realize it not!
Islam today is the only religion that has the laws that can be implemented in the country. No other religion has them. Islam as I explained above means to submitting your will to God. “Christianity” doesn’t mean that! So it is obvious, when the Christians pray that God’s will be done on earth. They are praying for the establishment of Islamic rule and nothing else!
